Three Towers Game

Chapter 360: Revised: Chapter 126 Night in the Underworld

Takahashi Fumihiko suddenly ignored Wen Xishu’s warning and stood up just like that.

His expression shifted from being honest and serious to looking entertained. That look was somewhat eerie, and the smile at the corner of his mouth made Wen Xishu feel a bit unfamiliar.

It was almost...like he had become a different person.

The Takahashi Fumihiko inside the door kept approaching. The Takahashi Fumihiko outside the door kept knocking.

[It is fake, it is fake, it is fake, it is fake...]

The Takahashi Fumihiko outside the door started repeatedly writing four characters.

It is fake.

He seemed extremely worried about Wen Xishu inside the room, pressing against the door and shouting:

”It is fake!”

At this moment, the Takahashi Fumihiko inside the door was only a few steps away from Wen Xishu. His grin was incredibly exaggerated:

”What happened outside?”

He continued to move closer towards Wen Xishu, who could only feel a massive chill invading him.

That unique sense of oppression exclusive to ”them” came.

They had been let in by himself.

At this very moment, the answer practically told Wen Xishu directly...

Neither the Takahashi Fumihiko inside the door nor the Takahashi Fumihiko outside the door was real.

”Takahashi Fumihiko’s ability... could it be creating visitors? This ability is too perverse, isn’t it?”

”So next, doesn’t that mean I can’t trust any visitors?”

”Furthermore, it created a ’Takahashi Fumihiko’ to visit... just to make me suspicious, then deliberately made creepy expressions and abnormal actions. To make me logically deduce... the Takahashi Fumihiko inside the house is fake.”

”Trying to thereby... prematurely force an end to the latent state. This is just like Takahashi Mariko attempting to take off her underwear.”

Wen Xishu’s brain was still very quick.

He immediately made a decision and walked straight toward the Takahashi Fumihiko inside the door.

When the two faced each other, Wen Xishu kicked Takahashi Fumihiko directly in the abdomen.

One could say that Wen Xishu’s legs were his strongest part. This kick sent Takahashi Fumihiko straight back to his previous position.

Then Wen Xishu took a swift step forward, getting close to Takahashi Fumihiko, and slapped him three times.

”Did I fucking allow you to move without permission? Do you not understand human language? And you still claim to be Rokkasho’s top scholar?”

Wen Xishu grabbed Takahashi Fumihiko by the neck.

Takahashi Fumihiko’s eyes turned red with anger, trying to make an even more bizarre creepy smile to provoke Wen Xishu.

But Wen Xishu didn’t take the bait. If you want to act inhuman, I’ll just insist you’re human.

”Smile?”

Slap, a smack that sent Takahashi Fumihiko’s glasses flying.

”Still smiling?”

Another slap, making Takahashi Fumihiko’s eyeballs bloodshot.

”Smile, keep smiling! Smile louder.”

After a few more slaps, Takahashi Fumihiko’s face quickly swelled up.

Wen Xishu decided to start swinging his fists directly.

After a round of beatings, Takahashi Fumihiko finally stopped making creepy smiles.

”You...why don’t you ask why I’m laughing?” Takahashi Fumihiko was still astonished inside.

Does this man not find his laughter abnormal?

Wen Xishu said:

”None of my damn business. Your laugh is too ugly, I’ll send you to see God.”

Wen Xishu pulled out a gun:

”Laugh again, and I’ll shoot immediately.”

Takahashi Fumihiko now behaved honestly.

But he was still using trickery.

Because outside, Takahashi Fumihiko was still continuously knocking on the door.

At the same time, an extremely bizarre ”scribbling” sound could be heard.

That was Takahashi Fumihiko outside, writing furiously, his speed nearly reaching a diabolic level, leaving afterimages of his waving hand.

Densely packed, all slanted and crooked, the door was covered with one phrase—

”It is fake!”

At the same time, for some reason, the Takahashi Fumihiko outside seemed unable to continue his act. The whites of his eyes vanished, and his entire eyes turned a continually darkening shade, ultimately leaving nothing but void-like black holes.

Just like the previous visitor, he pressed his eyes firmly against the peephole and said viciously:

”It is fake!”

Takahashi Fumihiko inside didn’t dare to ask: ”Who is fake?”

He was really scared by Wen Xishu’s relentless beating.

Wen Xishu said:

”There is a monster outside impersonating you, you are the real Takahashi Fumihiko, or I wouldn’t have let you in. If in doubt, don’t use them; if you use them, don’t doubt.”

”Don’t worry, no matter how convincingly the fake Takahashi Fumihiko outside acts, I won’t believe it.”

”But from now on, if you move again, I’ll kill you. Even though I know you are human, I’ll still kill you.”

Wen Xishu gave Takahashi Fumihiko the same kind of slightly perverse, eerie smile:

”Understood?”

Takahashi Fumihiko hugged his knees, squatting on the chair, dared not speak, nodding then burying his head in his knees.

Wen Xishu realized.

The ”them” brought into the house would use all sorts of methods to make the owner realize ”they” aren’t human.

This would force an early end to the latent period.

For now, the solution appears simple—just refuse to acknowledge them. But the problem is...

This game isn’t that subjective, just because you refuse to acknowledge—it doesn’t mean the monsters’ latent period will never end.

For crisis situations, disbelief only lasts for eight hours.

It only works to prevent the monster from prematurely ending the latent period, but the latent period of the monster has a natural ending state. When time runs out...

The monster will end the latent period naturally, and at that time, you will die if you should die.

The knocking and shouting outside the door ceased.

Visitors cannot stay indefinitely if not invited in.

”There are still a few hours left... the latent period of ’them’ will naturally end. If I’m lucky and have recruited real people inside... then I can kill the previously recruited Takahashi Mariko and Takahashi Fumihiko.”
