Three Towers Game

Chapter 361: Chapter 126: Night in the Underworld_2

”But I’m just afraid of having bad luck...”

Wen Xishu had a very uneasy feeling. On this monster-infested night, was there really someone outside?

If they were all monsters... how would he survive?

”Calm down, calm down, Wen Xishu, don’t panic.”

Wen Xishu calmed himself down again. The inside-outside combo move by Takahashi Fumihiko earlier had somewhat shaken him. He had to admit, the impact tonight was considerable.

”I can’t think of how to deal with the end of the incubation period for now... but at least, I can’t let the incubation period end prematurely.”

Wen Xishu planned to grab some sweets to keep his mind from becoming too fatigued. Surviving in this environment for several days was a kind of torment even for Wen Xishu.

But at that moment, there was another knock on the door.

”Hello, I’m the deliveryman. Your delivery has arrived.”

”I didn’t order any delivery.”

Wen Xishu looked through the peephole and saw that it was indeed a deliveryman, wearing the uniform of ”Chutoma,” a local delivery service from the Island Country.

But the uniform was too loose, and with the deliveryman wearing a helmet, Wen Xishu couldn’t make out the features of the person.

The deliveryman glanced at the receipt:

”But... but this is indeed the delivery you ordered, right? Mr. Wen Xishu, correct? You’re from the Bunker, uh, never mind, that’s not important. Anyway, it says here, you were suddenly invited here to experience this.”

”And your friend said you’d need these supplies, which include some supplementary rules and survival strategies.”

Wen Xishu’s brain buzzed again.

What kind of plot is this?

Wen Xishu suddenly looked at Mariko and Takahashi Fumihiko in the room.

Mariko hadn’t changed her expression, looking seductive, with a blush on her face, staring at Wen Xishu with dreamy eyes.

As if she had some unusual obsession with Wen Xishu.

And Takahashi Fumihiko was still cowering, trembling, clearly broken by the unreasonable beating he had just received.

”Not someone from inside the room. Could I really have a friend? Who could it be?”

Wen Xishu was puzzled. This deliveryman even mentioned the Bunker... making Wen Xishu increasingly believe he might really be a legitimate deliveryman.

”Perhaps there are many special types of characters in this area... they each have various functions...”

As Wen Xishu continued to analyze, the deliveryman started knocking on the door again:

”Sir... shall I just leave the delivery at the door?”

”No, I will give you extra tips, but for now, please help me open the delivery and read aloud the so-called supplementary rules and survival strategies inside.”

Wen Xishu said.

The deliveryman obliged, which surprised Wen Xishu as he didn’t make any excuses. He was truly unpacking the delivery, or rather the package.

But what the deliveryman took out was a rather thick manual.

The deliveryman even shook the manual near the peephole.

Wen Xishu saw clearly that the cover read ”Complete Guide to Rokkasho Survival Rules.”

He naturally felt tempted.

But at this moment, the deliveryman suddenly said:

”Mr. Wen Xishu, I don’t have much time left... you know, if I stay at the door without being invited in... I can only stay a little while.”

”But this thing is thick. I should leave the book here. Would you open the door and get it yourself?”

”Or... can you open your window a crack? I’ll throw it in for you?”

If it weren’t for the last sentence, Wen Xishu would have believed it was something delivered by himself from the Desire Tower to his self in the Deceit Tower.

Or maybe, his future self, because his Scorpio knife had the ability to read save files, had done some tricks?

Wen Xishu indeed thought so. But until the deliveryman suggested, ”Can you open your window a crack?”

He suddenly became alert.

Fake.

This deliveryman was also fake.

In an instant, Wen Xishu began to reevaluate and found the clue...

I’ve been mentally invaded. The other party read some of my information.

”If I really wanted to load a save to change something... I wouldn’t let a deliveryman do such a thing... and, since I loaded a save, the greatest resource is my memory, not to give past self something.”

”Damn, I almost wavered because the other party mentioned my name and said I came from the Bunker.”

”This is the forty-second floor, here... without my Anti-Magic Value, it would be normal to have all my memories stripped away.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Sorry, could you take off your clothes? Could you take off your delivery uniform, helmet, take them all off? It’s summer now, don’t you feel hot?”

These words made the deliveryman silent for a while. Seeing that Wen Xishu remained unmoved, appearing resolute, the deliveryman finally stopped pretending:

”Do you think you can escape? Wen Xishu... we will devour you!”

The deliveryman’s clothes started to bulge, as something under the clothes began to wriggle.

It left.

Wen Xishu noticed those tentacles emerging from the deliveryman’s pant legs. Wen Xishu felt a wave of disgust and fear.

”Damn it, I almost opened the door. Truly unpredictable.”

Wen Xishu thought for a while and realized there were two kinds of monsters here.

One kind is not very greedy.

This kind of monster doesn’t lurk; it just disguises itself as a human. Its purpose is to trick you into opening the door to directly kill you. You have to observe carefully with this type of monster.

If you can’t discern their oddities through the peephole, you’re in real danger.

And these monsters often have certain means to tempt you into opening the door.
