Three Towers Game

Chapter 366: After Modification: Chapter 127 Number of Survivors

Another visitor knocked on the door, constantly interrupting Wen Xishu’s original rhythm.

Wen Xishu came to the peephole and once again stared at the person outside the door through it.

This time, the person outside was wearing a police uniform.

At this moment, the TV turned on, and the picture inside was of a police officer subduing a criminal.

[Is there any guilt in your house? If you believe you are absolutely innocent, then you can invite the police in. Though they are corrupt, their strong sense of duty still makes them hate evil passionately, but... they are overly passionate about it. They will cleanse your house of any guilt.]

[If you are a vulnerable person, you can even ask for a few bullets.]

”Hello, I received a call saying there is a situation in your house. May I come in to check?” The police officer appeared very polite.

Wen Xishu noticed that this time, the TV provided exceptionally long rules.

They have already been corrupted.

The word ”corruption” made Wen Xishu think there might be more to it.

”It seems the officer outside is already one of them... But just like the deliverymen and the homeless, they are functional monsters.”

”The officer will cleanse all guilt... In other words, if I open the door now, as long as I haven’t committed a crime, the officer can directly clear out any potential criminals in my house...”

Wen Xishu didn’t dare to open the door.

Because not long ago, he had taken in the runaway girl, Takahashi Mariko.

He wasn’t sure if Takahashi Mariko was over eighteen. Likewise, he wasn’t sure if his act of beating Takahashi Fumihiko counted as a crime.

”The tip says the police are overly passionate about hating evil... This probably means that they exaggerate any guilt to the extreme, turning righteousness into an evil force.”

Although Wen Xishu really wanted to open the door... considering the overly sinister description of the police rules, he still didn’t dare to open the door.

However, Wen Xishu didn’t let the police go:

”There is nothing wrong in my house.”

”But we received a report, open the door. Otherwise, your crime will be refusing to cooperate with an investigation,” the officer said.

”Evidence? Just a report, and I have to cooperate? I suspect... no, I reasonably and certainly believe that the person reporting me is slandering me, and I suggest you execute it on the spot.”

The officer fell silent.

Wen Xishu originally thought the officer would continue arguing with him, but the next second, the officer raised his head:

”You are right. It is guilty.”

So the officer turned and was about to leave.

Wen Xishu was stunned; indeed, righteousness had turned evil.

But suddenly Wen Xishu called out to the officer:

”Wait, before you leave, can you give me a few bullets? You know, I am a weak person.”

The officer stopped.

According to the rule [If you are a vulnerable person, you can even ask for a few bullets], Wen Xishu decided to give it a try.

But the officer looked toward the peephole for about ten seconds and then shook his head:

”You are not weak enough.”

He then turned to leave again.

Wen Xishu thought to himself, am I not weak enough? Two monsters are living in my house, one wants to kill me, and the other also wants to kill me. I am trembling and barely surviving, and that’s not weak enough?

However, it seemed that the officer truly had some special ability to determine something.

In short...

Wen Xishu did not meet the criteria for a weak person in the officer’s eyes. This made Wen Xishu very dissatisfied, but he could only accept it helplessly.

”Wait again; as a lawful citizen, can I know if there have been any special cases recently?”

The officer might know the ”plot”.

So far, Wen Xishu hadn’t pieced together the plot. There were strange occurrences on this forty-second floor, and he hadn’t had time to explore.

This was a very crucial question.

If Wen Xishu didn’t ask, he might miss a lot of information.

The officer stopped, remained silent for a while, and then said:

”We can’t tell you the case details.”

”However, you need to be wary of... intelligent and polite serial killers, women who spread diseases through intimate contact, gourmets who pursue extreme ingredients, deliverymen who steal under the guise of delivering food, homeless people who parasitize under the guise of collecting stolen goods. Doctors who experiment on people under the guise of saving them, and Niu Langs who train others under the guise of loving animals.”

Wen Xishu had a bad premonition:

”And what else?”

The officer suddenly turned back, with a strange, stiff smile, and said:

”Vicious cops who enjoy violence under the guise of stopping crimes. Beware of them, beware of them, beware of them.”

He repeated it several times.

Wen Xishu suddenly understood...

All functional characters have ”mimics.” Not only fake deliverymen and homeless people... but fake police as well.

Smart and polite serial killer... is it Takahashi Fumihiko?

Takahashi Fumihiko’s first impression on Wen Xishu was refined, with a delicate face wearing glasses.

But Takahashi Fumihiko... appeared several times.

Does this imply something? Is Takahashi Fumihiko a schizophrenic serial killer?

Additionally, is the woman spreading diseases through intimate contact Mariko?

Good lord, there’s not one benign person.

Wen Xishu realized he had actually encountered quite a few people.

But the gourmet who pursues the ultimate ingredients, the doctor who conducts terrifying experiments, and the Niu Lang who trains others... had yet to appear.

There are far too many of these insane characters.

Wen Xishu found it hard to imagine how normal people could survive in this area.

After the police left, Wen Xishu looked through the peephole again, saw no one else, took a deep breath to adjust his emotions, and then went to Takahashi Fumihiko’s side.

Takahashi Fumihiko seemed somewhat afraid of Wen Xishu.

Without a doubt, it now only wanted to hide, hoping to survive until its latent period ended and consume Wen Xishu.
