Three Towers Game

Chapter 386: Chapter 130: The Desire Tower, Even More Twisted than the Deceit Tower_3

His teeth resembled those of a wild beast, making his actions quite menacing.

But Wen Xishu wasn’t buying it.

”You might have misunderstood me. Finding out things, to me, involves two words: ’find’ and ’out’.”

Wen Xishu swung his fist directly and began beating up the convenience store owner.

It was evident that Wen Xishu was somewhat furious.

This journey, whether it was to Deceit Tower or Desire Tower, made Wen Xishu feel suppressed. He needed to vent his anger.

So, Wen Xishu’s punches had no restraint. Even without the attribute panel, his full-force beating rapidly injured the convenience store owner, leaving him bruised and swollen.

During this process, Wen Xishu asked several questions.

The bullet screens provided the following information——

1:

This island was not the Okinawa Island Wen Xishu remembered from his previous life... It actually corresponded to a place called Fukushima.

2:

The apocalypse was imminent. People like the human hero An Rongzai in Jicheng had long sensed the approaching end and witnessed numerous anomalies. Similarly, some prominent figures in the Island Country had also sensed it.

Under the influence of a certain ”deity,” the top echelon made a decision that shocked the world to help the citizens survive the apocalypse...

”The end of the world is coming. We will face a multitude of monsters. But monsters are not scary. As long as we advance and evolve, we can catch the monsters off guard!”

”We will make the Island Country great again, bringing the glory of being the world’s number one to our people! Join us on the journey of evolution!”

”We will rule the world!”

Reportedly, with the help of the deity, the Island Country discovered a way to enable humans to withstand the mutations caused by radiation while preventing radiation from being lethal to humans.

3:

Hujiang and Rokkasho became the cities where the terrifying plan was piloted.

To be precise, Hujiang was only a small-scale trial, while Rokkasho was conducted on a large scale.

Although Hujiang was first, it only conducted closed experiments on a portion of people.

In contrast, Rokkasho used the entire island as a laboratory.

A bombardment of advertisements began to flood every city and island in the Island Country.

First, a new aesthetic was promoted: if you didn’t have any special features, you were deemed ugly.

Gradually, under the advertisement blitz, people were instilled with this notion.

Next came the glorification of various demons and monsters.

Bird-men with wings, monsters with three eyes, octopus-people whose lower bodies were completely transformed into tentacles, multi-limbed humans with irregular limb growth...

Under extensive propaganda, the number of monsters in Rokkasho increased exponentially.

4:

Normal humans became disgraceful.

When abnormal became the new norm, the concept of normalcy shifted.

Normal humans needed to be transformed. Any method to make people abnormal—through food, surgery, or even mating—was encouraged.

Before the apocalypse, the objective was to achieve universal evolution, ensuring no normal humans remained in the country. Normal humans couldn’t survive the apocalypse. Seeing a normal person without urging or helping them to evolve was considered indifference to life.

Under this belief, normal people who feared so-called ”evolution” all went into hiding.

Currently, this country had witnessed slight mutations in Hujiang, which were still minimal compared to the large-scale mutations in Rokkasho.

Other cities remained mostly normal, although they were also shrouded in the impending doom.

The narrative given to other cities was— ”We are using Rokkasho as an experimental site to explore the survival methods of humans in the apocalypse.”

However, how to survive and how to explore were not disclosed to the outside world.

In a sense, the entire island of Rokkasho was extremely morbid. Even Hujiang wasn’t as morbid since Hujiang only secretly used a few individuals as test subjects.

All of this was only known to the people of Rokkasho. But now, Rokkasho—could only be entered, not escaped.

This was all the intelligence Wen Xishu obtained.

The convenience store owner, beaten and on the verge of death, acted in a manner that Wen Xishu found pitiful...

The owner crawled step by step towards the shelves, seemingly searching for a can that could give him strength.

”This world is too broken. This country became like this, probably because a ’deity’ was involved.”

Standing at the convenience store entrance, Wen Xishu thought of the Mage.

What role did the Mage play here?

”Doctor, deliveryman, gourmet, homeless person, male escort, pervert, and top student.”

”Why were these seven different from other monsters? Why were they so special in Deceit Tower?”

Wen Xishu felt he needed to find the Mage first.

Wen Xishu took out the Fake Destiny Compass.

During his journey in Deceit Tower, Wen Xishu didn’t use these tools. Despite feeling immense pressure, he managed to withstand it with his own abilities.

The save point ability of the Scorpion Knife was never used even once.

But now, Wen Xishu needed to use the tools. Otherwise, he couldn’t find the quest targets because the information in the quest description—there were too many pitiful people on this island.

People who pursued madness and distortion had already fundamentally collapsed. It seemed as if everyone was a destroyer.

It seemed as if everyone deserved redemption.

Given such a large population base, finding the target might be extremely difficult. Wen Xishu could only choose to use the tools.

Wen Xishu silently recited the Mage’s name, picturing the Mage in his mind. He had a feeling that the sculpture in his dreams was the Mage.
