Three Towers Game

Chapter 396: Revised: Chapter 132 Desire Tower is so much fun

Rokkasho’s dark hand is deeply hidden.

”That person” is a very ”profound” existence for everyone.

Even someone as powerful as Master Lingqing, the tilt in social status is merely a whim of ”that person”.

If it weren’t for ”that person,” Rokkasho’s great calamity could probably be resolved relying on Master Lingqing’s earlier renown.

Even... some of those seven people could be redeemed by Master Lingqing.

Perhaps in the earliest story, it was a tale of seven people chosen by the apocalypse, who possessed power and harbored various misunderstandings and hatred toward the world, finding redemption.

Just like some of the scenes Wen Xishu once experienced.

Perhaps in the future, when the world of the Three Towers comes to an end, there will be a fairy tale belonging to the Three Towers. It might contain stories similar to The Little Mermaid and Snow White.

But the Destroyers, much like the sinister rules in fairy tales, cause the story to twist. They completely destroy the original story.

Now, those seven people are beyond saving.

Only Master Lingqing, with a clear heart, still longs to save the world. But if the Destroyers continue to exist, if they keep attempting in the loop...

Maybe one day, even Master Lingqing will become evil.

Wen Xishu believes this outcome, especially...

When he saw ”that person’s” face in the barrage from the dead gourmet Watanabe.

He was slightly surprised, feeling a bit puzzled.

”How could it be him? How could it be him?”

Wen Xishu can imagine, if ”that person” reveals his identity, how shocked and despairing Master Lingqing would be?

But Wen Xishu was also puzzled, it shouldn’t be.

”He handed me the invitation... He is bound and cannot use violence, but when I went to the mountains to find the Mage, he clearly...”

The Destroyer hidden in the barrage was none other than Master Lingqing’s friend, who for a long time was the only friend of Master Lingqing—

The officer, Mr. Murata.

This answer shocked Wen Xishu. The figure with decayed flesh and exposed white bones, wearing a police uniform, was exactly the same as the Murata he saw on the mountain.

So when he saw the gourmet kneeling to Murata in the barrage, even someone as calm as Wen Xishu felt surprised.

At this moment, the gourmet’s phone rang.

The ringtone was the default ringtone of the phone, which sounded incredibly harsh in the private room at that moment.

Wen Xishu saw that the incoming caller was noted as ”God”.

Wen Xishu did not answer the phone.

He just let the phone ring endlessly until it finally fell silent.

”It seems I truly underestimated you.”

If the Destroyer is indeed Murata, then the conversations between Wen Xishu and Master Lingqing are known to Murata as well.

In other words, Murata is aware that Wen Xishu aims to trouble the seven people.

”First of all, why Murata... there’s still a mystery. I always felt it wasn’t the real Murata. Because to be honest... it doesn’t quite match the officer I saw in my dreams.”

Wen Xishu remembered that he had actually met the ”Destroyer”.

He encountered the police twice in the Deceit Tower.

The first time was, the grim face telling him about seven notable criminals.

But at that time, Wen Xishu asked another question: ”Who else? Who else should I be wary of?”

At that moment, the police’s answer was strange; the officer, with a bizarre and stiff smile, said—

In the name of stopping crime, enjoying violence. Beware of them, beware of them, beware of them.

That statement seemed like it was meant to scare him.

But if it wasn’t to scare him—then was it doping him? Making him wary of the police?

Wen Xishu seemed to have grasped a critical point:

”First, I need to clarify a logic; the version of the Deceit Tower I was in does not actually match the current version of the Desire Tower...”

”Mr. Murata should indeed be a good cop. But that was in the version of the Deceit Tower I was in.”

”But now, in the current version of the Desire Tower, because of the Destroyer, it is even more corrupted...”

”So, in the original version of the Deceit Tower, Officer Murata is still alive, while the Destroyer played the role of Officer Murata, trying to confuse me. In other words, the first officer I met in the Deceit Tower was the Destroyer!”

”He tried to use words to create resistance toward the police in me, that is, resistance towards Murata.”

”This is the Deceit Tower version.”

”But in the Desire Tower version... the Destroyer went even further, intending to directly replace Murata. Maybe in this version... Murata is already dead.”

Wen Xishu clenched his fist.

The Destroyer indeed intends to bring down Master Lingqing’s last pillar.

”He received your gratitude, you were the first to acknowledge him. He hadn’t been acknowledged for a long time. Everyone on this island despises him for bringing misfortune. Your gratitude gave him some strength.”

This was the conversation between Wen Xishu and Murata when he received the invitation.

Because of his recognition, Master Lingqing gained the faith to continue sealing the monsters.

Wen Xishu could imagine the great misunderstanding borne by Master Lingqing alone, the deep-seated loneliness.

And the true provider of faith and strength to Master Lingqing wasn’t the player, nor Wen Xishu, but Officer Murata who was always by the Mage’s side.

But now, it is very likely that Officer Murata is already dead.

No matter what means the Destroyer used, now, the ”Murata” beside Master Lingqing is the Destroyer.
