Three Towers Game

Chapter 387: Chapter 130: The Desire Tower Even More Twisted Than the Deceit Tower_4

After having a definite desire...

The Compass began to rotate, but the needle was spinning erratically again.

This meant that searching for the Mage was dangerous. Or... the Mage himself was a huge danger.

Seeing the needle go haywire, Wen Xishu frowned, thinking of two possibilities.

”Maybe... the Mage really is the mastermind. Everyone has told me the Mage is evil, the Mage is the source of misfortune... but I resist all of this, I instinctively think, maybe the Mage is the unluckiest person. Because I refuse to believe information that is easily obtained...”

”But is there a possibility that the Mage is really the final boss?”

Wen Xishu shook his head:

”Of course, there’s another possibility, the Mage is imprisoned, and the place where the Mage is held has enormous dangers present.”

Wen Xishu pondered for a while, remembering the process of getting the invitation...

He ultimately ruled out the first possibility.

”I know there’s danger here, but then again... this island might be more dangerous than the lower levels of Deceit Tower, nowhere is safe.”

”You judge danger differently from me, I suggest you just do your work honestly and give me a definite direction. After all, even if I die, I can reload the save, right?”

Wen Xishu wasn’t sure if the Compass could sense his deeper wishes.

So he decided to try, since it’s able to guide Gemini Ding Dong to avoid the apocalypse with a replica of the Divine Artifact, it should be able to understand some of the owner’s requests.

Sure enough, after Wen Xishu’s words, the needle that had been spinning madly gradually started to point in one direction.

Wen Xishu said no more, kicked the convenience store owner unconscious, and immediately headed in the direction the needle pointed.

...

...

The road to searching for the Mage was far more twisted than Wen Xishu had imagined.

Wen Xishu realized along this pursuit why the forty-second floor of Deceit Tower was so oppressive...

The streets of Rokkasho were full of monsters. The entire Rokkasho, humans probably lived in the shadows.

This place was simply an ”apocalyptic experience server”. The real apocalypse hadn’t arrived yet, but the Island Country had already created an apocalypse ahead of time.

”On the timeline, Jack had just killed his friend... Tang Rui and I were preparing for a bloody night in the storm...”

”Who would’ve thought, before the apocalypse arrives, there’s a small island in this world already full of apocalyptic atmosphere.”

”The decision of the Island Country probably wasn’t caused by the Collapsers but by a ’god’ far more terrifying than the Collapsers.”

Wen Xishu couldn’t guess for the moment which constellation it was.

”But it shouldn’t be Virgo, it shouldn’t be Scorpio, and it shouldn’t be Gemini...”

The streets were full of deformed and twisted humans.

Though their shapes were twisted, their hearts might not be, but if what people chase after is twisted, then their souls will inevitably develop towards mutation.

When Wen Xishu passed by an appliance store, he saw the exhibition TV inside playing a program.

The one being interviewed was a student who looked very normal—Takahashi Fumihiko.

Seeing Takahashi Fumihiko, Wen Xishu naturally stopped walking.

”Having scored such high marks, how do you feel?” The reporter was interviewing Takahashi Fumihiko.

Takahashi Fumihiko smiled the typical good student smile and said:

”Very happy, I hope to go to Hujiang University, I hope to fulfill my parents’ wishes.”

”Your parents must be very happy, right?”

”Maybe they are happy.”

Takahashi Fumihiko’s smile had a hint of playfulness. Wen Xishu suddenly thought... maybe Takahashi Fumihiko’s parents were already dead.

Killed by Takahashi Fumihiko.

At this time, the reporter asked Takahashi Fumihiko a question:

”By the way, have you completed your evolution?”

The camera turned to the reporter, whose neck was visibly longer than others’. Long enough to seem like some kind of limb.

Undoubtedly, the reporter had also mutated under the radiation’s influence.

Takahashi Fumihiko then said:

”Of course. With policies like this that give extra points, I will definitely respond.”

The close-up shot of Takahashi Fumihiko came.

Wen Xishu saw... Takahashi Fumihiko’s eyes started turning, from normal colored pupils to ink-green pupils in an instant, then to red pupils in the next blink.

Even... at a certain angle, it was possible to see several pupils in Takahashi Fumihiko’s eyes.

He indeed started mutating, but as of now, it was still unclear what Takahashi Fumihiko’s ability in Deceit Tower was.

Wen Xishu only speculated that when Takahashi Fumihiko revealed different eyes, he switched to different ”personalities”.

But the more specific abilities were still unclear.

After watching the interview with Takahashi Fumihiko, Wen Xishu did not linger but continued to run in the direction pointed by the needle.

During this process, the needle shifted directions several times. Wen Xishu unconsciously left the island center and headed towards another edge area of Rokkasho.

To the south of Rokkasho, there was a mountain, which was considered the highest point of the entire Rokkasho. On the mountain top, there was originally a temple.

But the mountain trail had long been destroyed, manually destroyed, making climbing the mountain a very difficult task.

From afar, Wen Xishu saw the temple and without hesitation, started climbing the mountain.

Although the mountain path had been destroyed, for Wen Xishu, climbing the mountain wasn’t too challenging.

It took Wen Xishu approximately an hour to climb up this highest mountain in Rokkasho with bare hands.
