Three Towers Game

Chapter 220: Chapter 100: Successive Breakthroughs

Wang Ying felt a bit discomfort in his heart. In fact, he wanted to suggest appraising it together with Wen Xishu.

Everyone had gone back to group actions after initially splitting up. But if that happened, there would be issues with ownership rights again.

Gritting his teeth, Wang Ying began the appraisal.

[Number of appraisers: one. Item activated. Starting forced display of functions.]

The vacuum cleaner started working, and the others didn’t know its function. Wang Ying initially only felt his heart sinking.

He waited for several seconds and found no movement. The sound of the vacuum cleaner roared like a storm, but there was no change around him.

In this situation, he couldn’t count on this thing to kill enemies. His first reaction was that he was really doomed this time.

But then, Wang Ying saw something new. The vacuum cleaner was now pointed in the direction of Wen Xishu, Zheng Zai, and himself.

[Absorbed 15 points of fear from self, 12 points of depression. Absorbed 59 points of optimism from teammates. Some items have been transferred to the emotion grid. You can choose to inhale or exhale.]

Wang Ying tried selecting to inhale his teammates’ optimism.

He immediately felt excited, as if he instantly gained confidence. Although he didn’t fully understand the mechanics of the device, he seemed to have the confidence Wen Xishu had not long ago.

Wang Ying’s eyes became noticeably brighter, and he was overjoyed:

”This thing... it actually has such a wonderful use!”

Once he became optimistic, Wang Ying began to explore the vacuum cleaner. Instead, Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai suddenly became worried.

Zheng Zai hadn’t noticed anything wrong yet, he was just thinking, could this thing really save Captain Wang? Younger Brother Wen’s judgment shouldn’t be wrong, but then again, anything could happen in the Deceit Tower, right?

Wen Xishu suddenly started doubting himself—was the compass a fake, causing it to be ineffective? Had they found a useless item?

But then Wen Xishu immediately noticed, he was so confident just now, why had he lost his confidence...

”Wait, why is my emotional span so large? I got the permissions from the creator of this level. They also said the compass would be of great use to me, how could I doubt it?”

”No... is the vacuum cleaner absorbing part of my emotions?”

Wen Xishu realized.

At this time, Wang Ying discovered buttons on the vacuum cleaner, marked with a brain, a body, and a swirl pattern.

He had just pressed the brain, and now he began pressing the body.

[Absorbed 5 points of stamina, 5 points of agility, and 5 points of recovery value.]

This time, the vacuum cleaner was not directed at Zheng Zai and Wen Xishu; Wang Ying only targeted himself.

He immediately felt his physical functions seemingly decline. At this moment, Wang Ying was overexcited:

”Brother Wen, you were right! This thing is indeed a divine artifact! With this, I’m sure I can pass the fifth level! Thank you! Thank you!”

Wang Ying’s words stunned Aspasia, who hadn’t understood what had happened. But she suddenly felt a bit of regret.

Wen Xishu also guessed the capabilities of this thing and offered his advice:

”It looks like you already know the function of this thing, but... the vacuum cleaner’s absorption capacity has a limit. I estimate...”

”You need to learn to both absorb and release. If you just keep absorbing, there’s bound to be a problem. The vacuum cleaner might even explode if you’re not careful.”

Wang Ying thought it made sense. This treasure was indeed powerful, capable of absorbing an opponent’s attributes, both mental and combat.

But the absorption rate was relatively slow; facing an expert with overwhelming attributes, he might be killed before he could absorb enough.

And the vacuum cleaner surely had an absorption limit; it wasn’t invincible.

However, Wang Ying believed that it could handle the common monsters. As long as he transferred the absorbed attributes to himself...

He would be able to continuously recover and sustain various attributes in a battle.

Wang Ying continued to operate the vacuum cleaner for two to three minutes. After confirming he was familiar with it, he left the room with the vacuum cleaner.

The next second, Wang Ying’s figure disappeared, appearing on the giant TV screen.

The fifth level began.

The scene of the fifth level was on a cruise ship. Everyone on the ship had turned into mid-tier level three common monsters. Some of the monsters could burst with speeds comparable to a cheetah.

Wang Ying stood on the deck, similarly to Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai before him. He got a prompt that falling into the sea would count as death. This rule applied to the monsters as well.

Soon, the first wave of monsters rushed toward Wang Ying.

In the initial fight, Wang Ying was at a disadvantage. Without the Slaughter Tower attribute panel, it was extremely difficult for him to kill even a single mid-tier common monster.

Fortunately, the first wave of monsters wasn’t many. Although Wang Ying was soon covered in wounds and blood, he didn’t fall.

Moreover, his speed, reflexes, and strength attributes kept increasing.

When Aspasia saw Wang Ying continually getting injured, she was shocked, thinking he was surely doomed this time.

She was still very worried about Wang Ying, but couldn’t help complaining, clearly Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai could handle it, why choose to court death?

The second wave of monsters was larger than the first, a terrifyingly dense number of creatures.

In Aspasia’s view, Wang Ying should hide and not stay on the deck, an environment where he could be attacked from all sides.
