Three Towers Game

Chapter 213: Chapter 97: The Lost Inventor_4

”So I created a lot of objects, but these objects... don’t have supernatural abilities. To avoid certain fates, to remain undiscovered by other siblings, the objects I made will only take effect after the end of days.”

”But this place is an exception. In the dreams the Compass bestows, if I want to become my true self, I have to come here. This place has a very dense... eerie atmosphere.”

”I can’t describe this atmosphere clearly, but it can conceal my presence. So, I made many objects here. I think, perhaps it’s because... Granny Wu, Mo Yuan, Lele, Brother Xiang, Brother Yihong, each of you has a power similar to mine.”

Speaking of the psychiatric hospital, Ding Dong’s tone softened:

”I didn’t instruct the Compass. I just let the Compass guide me to find those who could help me shape my ’heart.’ Because that was the promise I made to my father.”

”I accepted all the guidance from the Compass, even if it meant becoming an ’evil person’ in the eyes of the public.”

”But I am very glad that the Compass guided me to meet you all, Granny Wu.”

Wen Xishu now understands why it took Ding Dong years of effort to complete this Compass.

This thing can guide the user to achieve the optimal fate trajectory based on the user’s requirements.

At the same time, he greatly admired Professor Jin. It was different from the stories Wen Xishu had heard in the past.

Children with supernatural abilities being confined in research institutes, subjected to various studies, extracting cells and blood, and undergoing numerous dangerous tests... ultimately becoming a person of the motherland.

This story turned out to be the opposite.

Wen Xishu realized he had guessed wrong; Ding Dong was not inherently a kind-hearted person.

On the contrary, Ding Dong actually had a weak concept of good and evil. Such a person, if deprived of love in childhood, can be extremely dangerous.

But under the guidance of Professor Jin... Ding Dong did not grow to hate the world and truly felt kindness.

This is hardly a story one expects to hear in the Desire Tower.

In the stories of the Desire Tower, it’s either a day of tragic experiences, suffocating parents, or grandparents planning to sacrifice their grandson...

But in this story, Ding Dong, as an experimental subject and research object, was protected so well by Professor Jin.

At the same time, the professor did not use love as a weapon. He objectively used numerous stories based on real people to explain to Ding Dong the role of good and evil in life, ultimately leaving the choice to Ding Dong.

This inherent respect and care also led Ding Dong’s Compass to guide him to encounter five individuals with the purest of hearts.

Of course, this story is not over yet. There are extremely malevolent parts to it.

If Wen Xishu didn’t appear or if no Tower Climber appeared, Ding Dong’s rebirth would fail, and Granny Wu, Mo Yuan, and the others would all die.

In other words, the real historical trajectory is that Ding Dong suddenly left and ultimately died. And he hadn’t had the chance to tell Granny Wu and others how to resurrect him.

And there’s one most crucial point.

Did Ding Dong leave the resurrection ritual because he knew he would die? Or did he actively seek death?

So now, Ding Dong has been resurrected. Will the entity that killed Ding Dong let him go?

Wen Xishu asked the most critical question:

”You are cursed, and you are one of the five easiest to kill among the seventeen.”

”By killing you, your other siblings will become stronger...”

”So what about now? Are you still trapped by the curse after rebirth? Who was the one that killed you?”

”Your real name should not be Ding Dong, right?”
