Three Towers Game

Chapter 203: Original text: Chapter 95 5 Hearts_4 Modified:

Even at night, Mo Yuan felt the moonlight was piercing, so she had to wear an eye mask.

This incident had a great impact on Mo Yuan, as after spending tens of thousands on ineffective treatments, her fiancé became her ex-boyfriend.

”I am grateful to fate for giving me such a young and beautiful girl... I always felt that your appearance brought me a lot of joy. I never thought someone like me could have such a beautiful girlfriend, whom I once considered marrying... But I’m sorry, I can’t accept that she will be unable to take care of herself in the future.”

During the darkest moment of her life, what she thought was love also faded.

This event caused Mo Yuan to become mentally self-conscious. She couldn’t help but wonder if she was undeserving of love, if there’s even such a thing as lifelong companionship?

Interestingly, Mo Yuan felt it was right for him to leave. She shouldn’t hold him back for life.

But she really hoped the man would stay, at least try, or persevere a bit more...

Being unable to see the light began to bring other peculiar changes for Mo Yuan.

She felt an intense longing for light but feared the sting she would feel upon opening her eyes. She didn’t dare to remove her eye mask, yet felt a strange agitation inside.

Once, by chance, Mo Yuan got injured while walking on the road because she couldn’t see. The wound was like a flower blooming in white soil.

During this process, Mo Yuan surprisingly felt a sense of peace. The pain completely quelled her urge to rip off the eye mask.

When the blood gushed from her skin, she no longer felt that sense of inferiority, nor did her eyes sting anymore.

To confirm this, Mo Yuan began to self-harm.

This frightened her family, and consequently, Mo Yuan was admitted to the mental asylum, specifically the fourth floor of Jiangcheng Mental Hospital.

Here, to prevent Mo Yuan from self-harming, the doctors and nurses chained her.

When the agitation couldn’t be calmed... Mo Yuan would become hysterical, screaming like a madwoman.

Several times, to prevent Mo Yuan from screaming, the hospital staff would forcibly inject her with sedatives.

Gradually, Mo Yuan became increasingly agitated inside, increasingly resembling a... lunatic.

This is Mo Yuan’s story.

After listening to Mo Yuan’s story, Wen Xishu felt a strange sensation. It was as if the first half was a girl’s youth, while the second half suddenly became eerie.

From Wen Xishu’s perspective... Mo Yuan’s sudden blindness might not have been due to illness? But some bizarre force.

Mo Yuan continued recounting:

”At that time, I felt torment inside and out, as if something was crawling within me... I longed for light but feared it.”

”I wanted to self-harm to gain peace, but I couldn’t find peace.”

”I was very lonely, I wanted someone to keep me company...”

Mo Yuan was very lonely. It would have helped if someone could distract her.

At this moment, Ding Dong appeared. When talking about Ding Dong, Mo Yuan noticeably became more gentle:

”Ding Dong’s arrival was completely miraculous. You might not believe it, but the first thing Ding Dong said when he arrived here was—”

”The compass of fate tells me... I can find the meaning of my life here. Hello, my name is Ding Dong. Thank you, fate, for letting us meet, perhaps I can help you.”

The compass of fate?

Could it be Ding Dong’s invention? Wen Xishu discovered some blind spots.

”Did Ding Dong voluntarily come here?” Wen Xishu asked.

Mo Yuan nodded:

”He voluntarily came here.”

Wen Xishu increasingly felt something was off. He began reciting the task description of Deceit Tower again—

Some works in this world always gain attention only posthumously. He once went everywhere promoting his works, claiming they’d be useful in the apocalypse, even making small gifts to give away for free. Yet people always laughed at him.

He had a strong inner world, but because of his strange creations and bizarre speeches, he was never understood by people. Geniuses are always lonely; madmen too.

Ultimately, he ended up in a mental asylum.

At this point, Wen Xishu discovered something different.

”His inner world is strong. He ultimately ended up in a mental asylum. I surprisingly overlooked such crucial information!”

”In my earlier understanding, the great inventor became mentally ill due to loneliness and lack of understanding, and ended up in a mental asylum.”

”But this doesn’t align with the description of a strong inner world.”

The task description using ”very strong” to describe a person indicates that their mental world is genuinely rich, not easily destroyed.

Wen Xishu found it interesting. He became increasingly curious about Ding Dong.

Mo Yuan said:

”After Ding Dong came here, he began listening to my past. He was very moved at the time.”

At that time, Ding Dong was very moved, speaking to Mo Yuan in a somewhat excited tone:

I thought the calling was for the items, but didn’t expect to find so much more here.

Mo Yuan didn’t understand this sentence, but Wen Xishu, as a listener, somewhat did at this moment.

”What else did he say? Did he ask you anything?” Wen Xishu asked.

Mo Yuan said:

”He directly stayed here. Many subsequent conversations were daily chats. After listening to my story, he made a lamp...”

”This lamp was amazing. Within the range of its light, all mirrors and what others saw could be seen by me, but the scenes were reflected in my mind... I didn’t need to remove the eye mask to see.”
