Three Towers Game

Chapter 215: Chapter 98: I Create a Deceit Tower Level_2

So far, there have only been stories of the Bunker People dying in the Three Towers, and never of the Bunker People converting into the Three Tower People.

Therefore, Wen Xishu could only listen to Ding Dong’s invitation.

”Sorry, I can’t go with you. I’m different from everyone else. I still have things to do after I wake up.”

Ding Dong didn’t force him. He didn’t know what kind of deity ”Airplane” was, but he recalled what his father once said—maybe in the future, we will meet in another way.

Ding Dong said:

”Alright then, I respect your choice. Anyway, thank you very much for your appearance. Now, I can protect everyone again.”

Granny Wu and the others thought about it and found it incredible. They had originally planned to directly open the door and enter the outside world. Without Airplane’s help, it is likely that all five people would have encountered danger by now.

All five were grateful to Airplane and hoped that Airplane could leave with them.

But since Wen Xishu had decided to leave, the five did not insist:

”We feel the same way, Airplane. No matter what happens, thank you so much! We hope you can stay safe and everything will go smoothly for you in the future,” Mo Yuan said.

Granny Wu nodded and smiled, while Xiangyang and Lei Yihong patted Wen Xishu on the shoulder.

Wen Xishu said:

”I will. You should take care of yourselves too. I hope you can stay away from all disputes and dangers.”

As the farewell approached, Wen Xishu wasn’t sad. He was perplexed by one question—why hadn’t the task been completed?

Logically, the moment Ding Dong emerged from the portrait, his mission should have been accomplished.

Now the patients in rooms 4-1, 4-8, 4-12, 4-16, and 4-18 should all be happy, and their fate trajectories had been rewritten. So why hadn’t the mission completion prompt appeared?

The answer came soon enough—just when Wen Xishu was wondering how to wrap things up, Ding Dong suddenly spoke:

”Airplane, can I ask you a favor?”

So there was a new task, and Wen Xishu immediately became interested:

”We’re all friends, go ahead.”

Ding Dong’s expression turned serious:

”I actually... made a small compass. It contains very little power of fate, but when you’re lost and unsure, it can help you. It may give you a subtle dream warning or directly point you in a certain direction.”

”I can give you this small compass, but you must promise me one thing.”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”If you think I can do it.”

Ding Dong said:

”The small compass can help you... find the remaining four among us five. I consider myself already dead. But I hope they can survive.”

”Don’t let the only god born in the apocalypse. All I can do is preserve those four.”

”They are Sirius, Heracles, Lyra, and Qilin.”

Sirius, Heracles, Lyra, Qilin.

These were different from what Wen Xishu thought—Cygni, Draconis, Andromeda, and Pegasus...

Unexpectedly, they were four very obscure constellations.

”They, like me, are avoiding the pursuit of other siblings. I hope that in your journey, you can help find them and keep them alive as much as possible.”

”Perhaps they know some of the things you are seeking.”

At this moment, Wen Xishu received the hidden task.

[After observation, Ding Dong is convinced you are trustworthy. Hidden task received: find and recruit Slaughter Sirius, Slaughter Heracles, Slaughter Lyra, Slaughter Qilin.]

This was a task that couldn’t be refused, so Wen Xishu didn’t mind too much. Since it couldn’t be declined, he might as well enjoy the task. Moreover, he got a compass with seemingly good attributes.

”Alright, I promise you.”

[Item obtained: Fake Destiny Compass. Check specific attributes at the guide’s place.]

Wen Xishu started receiving prompts one after another. He now felt... the task seemed to be coming to an end.

Normally, Wen Xishu just needed to patiently wait for the task to end, but this time, he decided to try something new.

Actually, he had long wanted to try this. Time was tight, and Wen Xishu’s mind worked quickly:

”If nothing unexpected happens, my task will be completed next, and they will pack up and leave.”

”Then I will receive a prompt telling me the task on the eighth floor, that due to a significant change in fate trajectories of the Great Inventor... both the Deceit Tower and Desire Tower missions will restart, and their fate trajectories will be re-anchored.”

”This is good... but next, it will enter simulation. Then everyone’s memories in the Deceit Tower will be replaced. After the Deceit Tower’s scene restarts, some strategies might not be applicable.”

”For example, previously, I changed from rescuing Jennifer to escorting Jennifer, so the rescue strategies couldn’t continue.”

”I always thought this was a set routine. As players, we actually didn’t have other operational space. But I ought to give it a try.”

”In the previous version, because Ding Dong’s portrait was still in the museum, and Granny Wu and others had all left the hospital, they likely died outside.”

”As a result, the fourth-floor museum in the hospital was looted, but perhaps it triggered some protection mechanism, so the Tower Climbers from the bunker needed to go through an extra item usage step to identify the items again.”

”Overall, Ding Dong’s portrait might retain some kind of obsession, forcing the Tower Climbers in the Deceit Tower to complete twelve challenges before they could take items from there.”
