Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 840: Chapter 814: Who’s Really Not Normal?

”...”

Is there really such a boring man in this world? Aka secretly despised her boss.

”Boss, I’ve always been curious, what exactly is your relationship with Qian? If you just want to take in a disciple, then my senior is already doing excellently. I objectively evaluate my senior and Qian, although Qian is also quite strong, most of the cases she takes are minor ones. Her highest degree is just a master’s, while my senior has been with you for so many years, handling world-class psychiatric conundrums. Qian doesn’t necessarily have the rich experience my senior does.”

What is the reason the boss is so fixated on Qian? Going as far as sending me over to protect her; the boss is internationally famous; if he truly wanted a disciple, he wouldn’t need to go through so much trouble.

”Don’t ask what shouldn’t be asked. Take good care of her, don’t let anyone bully her, understand?”

”Yes.”

After Aka left, Mr. Qio stood by the window, watching her hurriedly departing figure.

”After all these years, Aka is swept away by Qian... What magic does this child possess?”

Qian is like a magnet, influencing a group of people around her with her inherent charm. Because Qian is considerate enough towards her friends, whenever she is in trouble, her friends all respond favorably.

Mr. Qio imagined the scene of Qian leading a group to rescue people, and he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

”Truly knows how to stir things up, whose personality does this child resemble... Hmm, maybe mine? Haha, truly adorable.”

Qian had gathered her group; her big brother’s car had arrived.

She and Fugui belong to the technical stream. If Qiuqiu is rescued and suffers from a mental breakdown, she and Fugui could professionally help Qiuqiu. Liumei and Aka had high combat abilities, able to handle unforeseen circumstances. As for Bai Jin, Qian kept her for another purpose.

The car sent over by her big brother arrived swiftly; Qian led her friends forward at full speed, determined to bring Qiuqiu back safely.

On the way to Imperial City Airport, Liumei and Bai Jin, who were unaware of the situation, looked at the serious faces of the three professionals led by Qian. Liumei couldn’t help but express her doubts.

”Sister-in-law, why are you so anxious? Qiuqiu is at his own home; is he likely to suffer abuse?”

Qian was actually reluctant to answer this question because it involved her friend; she couldn’t imagine what Qiuqiu might be going through.

”Actually, if sent to that domestic institution, it would be somewhat better. Despite the conservative measures taken by domestic institutions not being very effective, at least they have minimal side effects. However, certain radical foreign institutions often use something called ’aversion therapy’ when consulting individuals with internet addiction, homosexuality, and other conditions. Qian is probably afraid that Qiuqiu’s father might follow unprofessional advice to use aversion therapy on Qiuqiu.”

Fugui answered on Qian’s behalf.

”Aversion?” Liumei and Bai Jin were puzzled.

”Electroshock, or drugs that induce vomiting, creating an unpleasant response loop based on conditioned reflex principles.”

Fugui’s professional explanation was still unclear to some. Qian, with a stern face, provided a more straightforward explanation.

”Aversion therapy has persisted and even decades later it still exists. Whenever these so-called ’patients’ experience fantasies or urges, they are injected with drugs causing vomiting, or directly electroshocked. Some ’therapists’ enhance results by directing homosexuals to watch same-sex films; if there’s a reaction, they’re electroshocked.”

Sometimes, this electroshock even targets unmentionable parts of gays and lesbians, with extremely cruel methods.

”Does it have any scientific basis? It sounds terrifying.” Liumei shivered at the thought of Qiuqiu possibly being electroshocked, finally realizing why Qian and the others were urgently heading there.

”To date, only one world-class authority recognized this therapy as effective, but the data was soon proven fraudulent. Whether electroshock could cure anyone, I don’t know, but I know many people experience significant aftereffects from such therapy, remaining single for life, and suffering depression and other residuals.”

”...If there’s no supporting evidence, why still do it?” Liumei found it hard to understand.

”To make them ’normal’ again,” Qian said, sarcastically.

Simply because they’re different, they’re forced to change to reintegrate into society, often resulting in permanent psychological disability.

Apart from some corrupt individuals getting AIDS from promiscuity and deceitful marriages, most people are quite like the general population despite their differing romantic preferences.

They can work and contribute to society. No need to demonize them; not supporting artificially changing sexual orientation but also not discriminating against those naturally different.

Families, eager to make their loved ones appear ”normal,” resort to extreme treatment methods, causing repeated tragedies. Who’s to blame? Who’s truly abnormal?

”If it’s just aversion therapy, it’s manageable. My worry...” Fugui glanced at Qian troubled, with Qian nodding somberly.

Both feared it might go that way!

Domestic therapy involves conservative measures, such as increasing exercise, biking, walking, and maintaining physical well-being, which is manageable.

If foreign ’experts’ considered electroshock, Qian and her team arrived on time, without years of ongoing electroshocks, reparable.

Fear of extreme methods arises.

For instance, forced hormone injections.

Worse still are extreme coercive methods, such as forcibly finding a man to have relations with Qiuqiu, sickeningly done by certain foreign entities.

If that happens, even Qian and Fugui could find it difficult to cope. Despite Qiuqiu having a female body, his mental state is entirely male; experiencing such humiliation could lead him to collapse, concerning Qian greatly.

Now, there’s hope that this spontaneously assembled team collaborates effectively, aiding Qiuqiu out of his misery.

”Can’t we notify the police?” Bai Jin still hoped for a legitimate way to rescue Qiuqiu.

”Useless; he’s at his own home, with his father initiating these actions. Qiuqiu wouldn’t accuse his father.”

Qian understood Qiuqiu’s character, knowing he wouldn’t want to see trouble fall upon his father.

”Which quack suggested this malicious idea to Qiuqiu’s father?”

”We’ll settle this matter later; first, find the person.”

Qian knew there was a tough battle ahead, but it was unimportant right now; ensuring Qiuqiu’s current safety was paramount.

But fate was cruel; her big brother’s call suddenly struck Qian heavily.

”We’ve investigated thoroughly; indeed, Qiuqiu’s father bought a medical-grade electroshock device from abroad a week ago, but the exact purpose remains unknown.”
