Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 824: Chapter 798: Meiwei, My Wife!

”If you have the guts, hit me! Hit me! You’re nothing with your loudspeaker, I just won’t give way. If you have the nerve, kill me!”

Yu Minglang watched through the binoculars and desperately wanted to shout, ”Bring me my shovel!”

But he really couldn’t hit them; it would only cause trouble.

”Try communicating one more time. If it doesn’t work, send two skilled guys to jump onto his car and drag this guy out!” Yu Minglang ordered.

With his behavior, he’s sure to spend a few days in detention once caught; it’s totally enough for causing trouble!

While Yu Minglang was discussing strategies, Qian and Fugui were also discussing their plans.

”I’ll go borrow a loudspeaker and try to calm him down with soothing techniques.” Fugui noticed the road was hard to walk on, and Qian was wearing sandals, so he intended to go himself.

Fugui turned around and took two steps when he suddenly heard an overly excited voice from behind.

”Meiwei! My wife!”

Qian was watching Fugui at the time and didn’t notice behind her. She was thinking about how to communicate with the road rage driver parked across the road, when suddenly she felt a huge force from behind before she could react. She was grabbed from behind!

Rather than being grabbed, it was more like being strangled!

The man’s strength was so great that Qian couldn’t even muster the energy to struggle.

Fugui turned around at the sound and saw Qian being tightly grabbed by a man with a twisted expression from behind. If Liumei were there, she would’ve delivered a spinning kick to the man’s arm and pulled Qian away. But Fugui was a scholar and didn’t have Liumei’s skills. The situation made his first instinct to want to pull Qian, but this act enraged the man who had abducted Qian!

”What are you trying to do? She’s my wife!” the man gripping Qian tightened his arm, making Qian’s face flush red from being strangled.

Fugui didn’t dare move forward; he stopped in his tracks, unable to process the situation.

Yu Minglang initially intended to put down the binoculars and handle the foolish driver blocking the road by himself, but he suddenly saw his wife’s figure. Before he had time to look further, he saw a man with an abnormal expression rushing toward his wife, and right under Yu Minglang’s nose, Qian was abducted!

The situation suddenly became dangerous, escalating from a simple traffic block to a hostage situation, and the hostage was Yu Minglang’s most beloved woman!

”Let her go, did you mistake her for someone else?” Fugui tried to communicate with the man who abducted Qian.

”Son, let her go!” Over by the coach bus, a couple stepped out, and Fugui recognized them as the couple he saw yesterday at the psychiatric hospital entrance.

Which means... the one abducting Qian now is a patient with aggressive tendencies and delusional infatuation!

This illness is a branch of schizophrenia, incredibly frightening and stubborn. They believe the world is as they see it, and it has to be that way!

”She’s my woman! Haha, Meiwei, Meiwei I’ve finally found you!” The man abducting Qian looked ecstatic.

Qian was almost out of breath from being strangled, and Yu Minglang watching through the binoculars felt heartbroken—his beloved Mei was suffering!

”There’s a hostage situation now—bring my slingshot.” On the mountain, these were essential defensive gear.

”Vice President, should we report to the higher-ups...” Although they know the young boss is skilled, everyone also feared trouble.

”No time, bring it, I’ll take responsibility for any consequences!” Yu Minglang feared that if he didn’t act now, his wife might be strangled to death right before his eyes!

Fugui was completely dazed here.

This mentally ill person was supposed to be detained at the hospital yesterday, why is he here now?

Shouldn’t psychiatric hospitals strictly monitor dangerous patients during acute episodes?

The delusional patient didn’t escape; he was taken out by his parents.

The issue started yesterday with the principal coincidentally meeting his parents and jointly venting about Qian.

The principal worried that the matter of being x-ed would be spread by Qian. By chance, they met the patient’s parents and heard about their son’s obsessive fantasy about Qian, which made the principal hatch a sinister plan.

She thought if Qian could be x-ed once by this mental patient, Qian would be too distracted to spread her business. The twisted principal completely overlooked how this plan was borderline criminal.

She incited the parents, claiming she had city connections, encouraging them to get their son out early in the city, planning to find a chance to lead this patient to Qian. But by a stroke of luck, the parents waited on a coach and hit a traffic jam, coincidentally encountering Qian!

For psychiatric patients who haven’t committed a crime, regular psychiatric hospitals aren’t qualified to detain them. Their parents can take them out anytime, as this patient had been emotionally stable. His parents tricked him into thinking he was going to the city to find his wife—which was actually to send him to a hospital in the city. Seeing Qian’s figure was enough to make the patient erupt.

”Mom and dad, look, my wife, my wife!” The mental patient laughed foolishly at his parents.

His parents were terrified seeing this, ”How did that woman end up here?”

Faced with trouble, not wanting their son to cause trouble, their first instinct was to question Qian, but her throat was caught, rendering her speechless, and the situation was critical.

The patient’s father was relatively sensible, and seeing this, he was scared witless.

”Son, let her go quickly, you’re going to strangle her!”

”No! She’s my wife, she’s Meiwei!”

”Hey, you up front, you’re surrounded by our people, release the hostage immediately or face the consequences!” A loudspeaker announcement rang out, and the disoriented Qian immediately recognized it was Yu Minglang!

Hearing they were surrounded, the mentally ill patient’s mother was so frightened she knelt down.

”He’s mentally ill, killing anyone is technically not illegal for him! Please don’t hurt him!”

Yu Minglang wanted to have words with this woman. Is this even human speech?

Mental patient killing isn’t illegal, but does that mean his wife deserves to be taken hostage?

”Releasing the hostage is your only way out; otherwise, killing isn’t illegal for him, but hurting him in a crisis to rescue the hostage isn’t illegal for us either!”

After Yu Minglang said this, the mother was frightened into begging her crazy son.

”Son, mom begs you, let her go!”

”She’s my wife, there’s no crime in hugging her~ Wife~ Wife~ Hehehe!”

There’s no logic with a madman. Sometimes he strangled tightly, sometimes he loosened up—Qian was so close to passing out, the situation was critical!
