Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 804: Chapter 778: The Body, Hair, and Skin Are Gifts from One’s Parents

Hua’s tears fell like rain, uncontrollably shouting, ”Yes, I’m a coward, I’m useless, I’ve messed up my own life, are you satisfied now! Why do you have to control me, did I ask for your intervention!”

Facing Hua’s powerless lament, akin to a downcast dog, Qian’s response was also very straightforward.

She stood up, walked to Hua, and asked in a very gentle voice.

”It’s not related to me... but can you claim it’s unrelated to the teacher?”

Contrary to her gentle voice was Qian’s action; she raised her hand and slapped Liu Xiaohua’s face resoundingly.

Liu Xiaohua’s head tilted from the slap, and she quickly turned back in anger.

”How dare you hit me!”

”I’m hitting you on behalf of the teacher; can you be grateful for the years of mentorship? When I hit you, you jump like a cat that’s had its tail stepped on, but what are you doing when your man hits you?”

”He’s him, you’re you, you’re not related to me, what gives you the right—ugh!”

Hua covered her face because Qian hit her again.

”I’m hitting you because you’ve wasted so many years of expertise. Just because he’s familiar with you, does he get to hit you? Did your professional skills get eaten by a dog? Tell me, when faced with a first-time domestic violence situation, what advice should you give to a client?”

”Fight back as much as possible so he understands the consequences of harm... but that’s different!”

”What’s different? Don’t tell me you get confused in the situation while others see clearly. You have so many fellow disciples around you, how come none gave you advice? What do you guys do when you’re together? Talk bad about me, discuss how unfair the big boss is. But when it comes down to it, open your eyes and see, who can offer you a shred of help? Is that Mei Jiaojiao good to you? If she were truly good, why would she call me over?”

Among the fellow disciples, it wasn’t only Qian who had the ability to solve problems, yet Hua’s best friend informed Qian, who didn’t get along with Hua, when Hua was vulnerable; thinking about this deeply is terrifying.

Some people can’t wait to knock out a couple of competitors; who dares say Mei Jiaojiao isn’t harboring such a mindset, hoping Qian’s blow would make Hua fail? Getting the benefit without effort!

Everyone knows Qian is the big boss’s confidant. Mei Jiaojiao probably thought Qian would report this to the big boss to strike at Hua but didn’t expect Qian to come personally.

These words deeply pierced Hua’s heart, leaving her looking dim, yet the sharp Qian didn’t let her go easily.

”Though your personality is dislikeable, you probably provoked your man into hitting you; however, no matter how irritating a woman is, it’s not for the man to hit her. When he hits you, and you have no reaction, are you living up to your parents?”

”What does this have to do with my parents...”

”Your parents cultivated you into a Ph.D., was it intended for you to get hit? When you submit to a man, have you considered your parents’ feelings? They loved you dearly, raised you from a clueless infant to today. Maybe your family’s conditions weren’t superb, but in their hearts, you were the only little princess, yet you stepped on your parents’ expectations, choosing to humble yourself before a man.”

Just a few sentences were enough to make Hua sob uncontrollably.

She thought of her childhood, her dad pedaling an old horizontal bar bicycle, seating her in the front, escorting her through wind and rain to school, recalling her mom giving her the only pieces of egg from a dish.

”You struggled outside, thinking you’ve found a family of your own; have you looked back at them? When you get hit, have you asked your parents how they feel? When they know their cherished daughter is used as a punching bag, how would they feel?”

”Stop it, stop...” Hua was already crying beyond recognition.

Qian always stays Qian; a few casual words can pierce a person’s soft spot.

Hua’s personality is quite poor, concentrating many human flaws.

She’s jealous, likes gossiping, pulls cliques together, envies Qian fiercely while wanting to show her value.

Aiming to establish herself in this concrete jungle, to prove she is a valuable talent.

Before Qian’s appearance, she was among the big boss’s most outstanding disciples, excelling in studies, striving upwards.

Yet after Qian appeared, she became nothing.

The one sitting beside the big boss is always Qian, the big boss always leaning towards Qian, speaking quietly.

This is all she crazily envies; she spreads gossip about Qian everywhere, especially after Qian pranked her with medicated oil once, driving her to an irreconcilable conflict with Qian.

But when she hit life’s bottom, none of her ”friends” stepped out; the one who knocked her twice and spoke of her parents’ expectations turned out to be Qian.

”I’m just reminding you, and every woman who’s suffered domestic violence, that the physical body belongs to the parents; everyone is born to their mom and dad. Your parents went through hardships to nurture you, not to become a punching bag to get beaten; no amount of enduring will bring true love. If domestic violence occurs before marriage, the most straightforward action is to break up, nothing to consider.”

A man inclined to violence before marriage is entirely devoid of the value of emotional investment.

For such a clientele, the best approach is to break up.

Don’t talk about converting through love; the tyranny instinct is inscribed in someone’s bones. Love can never convert these types of people, with that effort to convert, switching to another man would move a thousand others; why hang oneself on one tree?

If domestic violence happens after marriage, the approach becomes complex: are there kids, how’s the asset division, will there be relentless attacks from the opposing side? The counselor will provide divorce or non-divorce advice based on minimizing the client’s damage.

If it’s before marriage, there’s nothing to discuss, the method is simple—split.

”But we’ve already registered...”

Though no wedding took place, Hua had registered with her boyfriend, which was her source of distress.

Due to their recent relationship struggles, Hua’s emotions seeped into her work, resulting in incidents like the attempted suicide of a borderline personality disorder client, leaving her physically and mentally exhausted.

In Qian’s view, Hua is selfish, petty, jealous, loves to inflate and boasts with big vanity, not someone worth befriending.

Yet, objectively, Hua isn’t totally devoid of merits; she strives upward, eager to prove herself, genuinely wanting to cure that patient, although her abilities temporarily failed her, and the patient’s suicide broke her defenses.

Before Qian’s appearance, Hua’s sorrow almost led her to quit this field.

She believed she was unsuitable for being a psychological counselor.

Qian’s two slaps hit the mark precisely.

”After registering when domestic violence occurs, tell me, if you’re a counselor and your client asks you this question, how would you respond?”
