Chapter 198: Chapter 198: Devouring Other Spiritual Bodies

Hua Jinyan shook his head.

He didn’t know why Yinuo had turned into an Evil Spirit, but he knew that once she became one, even Little Taotie couldn’t help her.

Because Little Taotie’s way of consuming Evil Spirits involved transforming the entire Evil Spirit into chocolate, not merely extracting the dark energy from the Evil Spirit.

Once Yinuo turned into chocolate, it would mean her complete annihilation in this world, unlike vengeful spirits who had their resentment taken away and still had the chance for reincarnation.

In the eyes of Hua Jinyan and Little Taotie, Yinuo, now an Evil Spirit, madly pounced towards Luo Lili. Although each attack passed through Luo Lili’s body, doing no actual harm, Yinuo continued to wildly slap and bite.

“Why! Why did you kill me! I thought of you as a good friend!”

“I was so close, I was about to debut!”

“My dream has shattered, give me back my life, give me back my life—”

“Luo Lili, even as an evil ghost, I won’t let you go!”

“I want to grow stronger, I want to become a Ghost King, I want to curse you, I want to kill you, I want revenge—”

The dark energy around her grew denser, she charged out, and began wandering the streets, devouring any lonely wild ghosts she encountered.

Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan chased after her.

Cheng Guodong wanted to follow, but Qin Xin shook his head.

The scene was chaotic, and it was fine for the two children to run, but if both of them adults left, it might attract attention.

He had just overheard his sister and Hua Jinyan’s whispering, and had roughly guessed what had happened.

They couldn’t help with these mystical matters even if they rushed over.

“I’m not very reassured.” Cheng Guodong frowned deeply.

“We can’t help by going there, and we might even add to the chaos. When is the feng shui master you contacted coming back to the country?”

“He should be back soon.” Cheng Guodong wasn’t too sure.

“Are you sure that feng shui master loves his freedom and hates taking disciples the most?”

“I’m sure! Don’t worry, I’m inviting him just to take a look at my sister. If she has any issues, he should be able to tell. If he thinks she has an exceptional talent, he won’t consider taking her as a disciple, he is famously lazy.”

Qin Xin nodded, temporarily putting his trust in him.

…

Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan had to run quickly just to barely catch up with Yinuo.

In a dark corner, Yinuo spotted a dazed old Ghost and took a deep breath before she began to consume him.

The old Ghost looked foolish, and his body became more and more transparent.

Just in time, Little Taotie arrived, throwing a punch.

A layer of Golden Light appeared on her soft, pale little fist as she landed a solid punch on Yinuo’s chest.

Yinuo retched, releasing a cluster of gray mist from her mouth, which flew back into the old man’s body, making him slightly more solid.

The old man still looked foolish, his eyes empty and unseeing, unaware that he had almost been completely devoured and vanished.

“Beautiful young lady, clear your mind. You cannot consume other spiritual bodies, you will become an Evil Spirit!”

“Hehehe…” A creepy laugh emanated from Yinuo’s mouth.

Yinuo’s eyes were pitch black, shrouded in black mist, and her face twisted with her laughter.

She reached out to attack Little Taotie, seemingly having forgotten who Little Taotie was, treating her only as an obstacle to becoming stronger.

Hua Jinyan pulled Little Taotie behind him, his wrist adorned with a Rainbow Relic, his body concealed by a transparent light shield emitting golden light, which made the Evil Spirit tremble with fear.

Yinuo kept retreating, not daring to approach further, the blackness in her eyes slowly dissipating as she struggled painfully.

Her all-black eyes returned to normal, clear and distinct, and she had a moment of clarity, looking bewilderedly at Little Taotie and Hua Jinyan.

“I… Why am I here? Wasn’t I in the hospital?”
