The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 157: Chapter 157: Arguing Over Her Future Chapter 157: Chapter 157: Arguing Over Her Future Kitty yawned after playing tirelessly and lay motionless on the floor, completely exhausted. Tao Ti picked it up and gently rocked it back and forth, as if soothing a baby, humming, “Good baby, sleep tight, rock-a-bye…”

The pink, delicate little nose of Kitty stirred, as it still struggled with the urge to play instead of yielding to sleep, but under the girl’s lullaby, it couldn’t resist any longer and eventually, its nose ceased moving, and its little mouth slightly opened, breathing deeply and falling fast asleep.

Tao Ti looked up to meet the eyes of the adults, seeing each of their heads adorned with excited flowers. She tilted her head, slightly confused.

“Are you tired? How about we take a bath and go to sleep?” Liu Mingzhu said with a smile, extremely tender, her eyes filled with deep anticipation. Bathing her daughter and then lulling her to sleep was something she looked forward to immensely.

Tao Ti’s face blushed, “I can wash by myself!”

At her brother’s house, the nanny had already taught her how to shower. She always bathed by herself!

“Then, may I help scrub your back?”

“No need!” Tao Ti’s ears turned red. This auntie she had just met was overly enthusiastic, even wanting to help her bathe. But she was almost in elementary school—she had grown up! How could she let someone help her bathe! Others would laugh at her!

Tao Ti took the change of clothes her brother had prepared for her and hurried into the bathroom, closing the door tightly, fearing Liu Mingzhu might enter.

Liu Mingzhu, left outside the door: “…” Dreams shattered!

Tian Leran patted her on the shoulder, holding back a laugh, “You’re too eager; she’s shy.”

Liu Mingzhu pursed her lips, lowering her head.

“Take it slowly, don’t be discouraged. She’s an easy child to get along with. If you show kindness, she will reciprocate, and gradually accept you.”

“I know, I just can’t help being impatient.”

“Now, you shouldn’t be discouraged. Instead, think about what story you’re going to tell her.”

“Right! I can still tell her a story to put her to sleep, that she definitely won’t refuse!”

Like the wind, Liu Mingzhu left to search for fairy tales in the study.

Old Lady Li and Xu Taishan also prepared to take their leave. Tao Mo glared at Xu Taishan and he glared back, but considering the old ladies present, the two old men didn’t dare to make a scene.

Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin were naturally planning to stay. They still needed to observe this family further, so as long as their sister stayed, they planned to linger as well.

Tian Leran knew that apart from being Little Taotie’s big brother, Cheng Guodong also had another role—as Little Taotie’s agent.

“Guodong, as Little Taotie is going to start elementary school soon, how do you plan to manage her work?” Tian Leran asked.

Tao Mo interjected, “She shouldn’t work at all; studying well is the most important thing!”

Cheng Guodong slightly furrowed his brow, “Currently, sis has a certain level of international fame. During her tuition period, we will pause her work, but I see Teacher Tian has arranged a schedule of studying for five days, resting for two days. If there are engagements during those two days, I might arrange for her to attend them.”

“This is too exhausting! Five days of studying, and just when she can finally relax for two days, you still push her to work! You’re exploiting her!” Tao Mo pounded the ground with his Lion’s Head Cane, glaring furiously at Cheng Guodong.

Cheng Guodong touched his forehead, “Sis told me that she wants many people to like her.”

“But we all like her!” Tao Mo, not quite understanding, stared at Cheng Guodong with eyes full of skepticism.

Tao Shen spoke up after being silent, “Grandfather, we should ask sister what she wants. Maybe becoming a star is her dream.”

Just like in her previous life, she wanted to be the brightest star.
