The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Do You Like Being an Artist? Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Do You Like Being an Artist? Little Taotie reached out to grab Kitty, but Kitty dodged, and without paying attention, its whole body fell into the fish tank.

Initially, Kitty was somewhat flustered, but it soon swam smoothly in the water.

Climbing and swimming seemed to be ingrained in its genes, even a small kitty could swim quite skillfully.

Little Taotie reached in to scoop it up, but Kitty playfully avoided him, flicking water with its tail; water splashed on Little Taotie’s face, making him try even harder to catch Kitty, splashing himself with water each time he missed.

Tao Shen stepped forward to help, and finally managed to catch the wildly playful Kitty.

Little Taotie saw Kitty wriggling in Tao Shen’s arms, baring its teeth, annoyed, he pinched its little ears and scolded in a childlike voice, “You’re too naughty, not good at all! You should learn from Xiao Ni and Xiao Mo, they never make me worry!”

Little Taotie, though very young, was deeply concerned about Kitty.

The old man wanted to laugh but dared not; he held back his laughter so much that his expression almost twisted.

Qin Xin lowered his voice and said to Cheng Guodong, “When it’s her birthday, I’ll give her a puppy. What do you think of the idea?”

Cheng Guodong, “You’re really too mean!”

Cheng Guodong’s phone rang; as he answered, he heard the excited voice of PR No.1 on the phone, “Chairman Cheng, the TV station has contacted the ‘Finding the Leading Lady’ crew, the program can go on air!”

Compared to streaming online, of course, broadcasting on air was better as it allowed for a broader voting channel.

Cheng Guodong furrowed his brows, “It’s just a small show, why would the TV station invite us?”

PR No.1, “Video No. 3 went viral internationally; it’s not a small show anymore! But the schedule is a bit tight, so in the next two days, could you bring Little Taotie to record an episode?”

Cheng Guodong decisively refused, “The next two days are for studying, no.”

PR No.1 tried to persuade him to no avail, and finally had to step back and ask, “Then when are you available?”

“I will notify you,” Cheng Guodong said without giving PR No.1 a chance to respond, and hung up.

Qin Xin asked, “Got a notice?”

Cheng Guodong nodded, “I will find out if she is willing to pursue a career in the entertainment industry before deciding whether to go or not.”

The doorbell rang, and Tian Leran opened the door to see Hua Jinyan standing there with a backpack and a suitcase next to him.

“Teacher Tian, my mom has gone abroad for a business exhibition, and my dad rushed to join a cast, can I disturb you for a few days and stay here?”

With both parents away, there was a nanny and grandparents, or he could even return to Shaolin Temple; there was really no need for him to seek refuge at the Tao family’s house.

Tian Leran, wise beyond his years, took one look and knew this little guy just wanted to stick around at his place.

“You’ve brought your luggage, I can’t say no now.”

Tian Leran messed up his hair and chuckled, “Clever little rascal!”

Hua Jinyan pursed his lips and let Teacher Tian mess up his hair; he looked very obedient.

“Come on, let’s go inside.”

In the living room, Cheng Guodong squatted down to be at eye level with Little Taotie and patiently asked, “You already have plenty of money, and there’s a lot in your account too; if you don’t like being an artist, we can stop any time.”

Little Taotie, not understanding why his big brother suddenly became so serious, cocked his head and said, “I eat a lot; is the money in my account enough for my food?”

Cheng Guodong, “…”

To tell the truth, not really!

Cheng Guodong cleared his throat, “Don’t worry about that, you won’t lack for food and drink, the money is enough! Just honestly tell me, do you like being an artist or not, don’t force yourself.”
