Cheng Guodong was extremely anxious, “Can it be treated?”

Qin Xin remained relatively calm, asking, “Didn’t you say you needed to spend some time with her to know for sure? How come after just one afternoon, you’re able to diagnose her?”

“Because of the drawing she made, I can diagnose her.”

“Drawing?” Qin Xin frowned. “What did you have her draw?”

“I didn’t ask for anything specific, just let her draw whatever she wanted.”

Qin Xin pressed further, “What did she draw?”

“Clusters of black circles!” Liu Aiguo sighed heavily. “It’s quite serious; it’s best to take medication in conjunction with psychological counseling.”

Qin Xin scrutinized him with skepticism, “Are you sure just based on a drawing?”

“You’re doubting my professional expertise!”

“Come on, I’ll take you to see!” Liu Aiguo dragged Qin Xin outside.

Cheng Guodong followed them, “Wait for me.”

…

Little Taotie had been drawing for half the day, wasting several sheets of paper. No matter how she looked at it, nothing resembled the Flower of the Other Shore.

She felt it might be a mistake with the colors; she was becoming more and more like a Fierce Beast, unconsciously drawing from a colorblind perspective, using a black pencil.

“I should use a red pen!”

Little Taotie felt that as long as she changed the pen, she could definitely draw it well!

She pulled off the cap of the watercolor pen fiercely and in one fell swoop, sprawled the drawing across the entire sheet of paper.

Holding the paper high, she looked at it from the left and right, and felt defeated!

Her little head drooped in disappointment, throwing the paper filled with red, messy circles onto the table, sullen and out of sorts.

Hua Jinyan, who had long finished his drawing of Little Beast Bai Bai, had been observing her every move. Seeing her unhappy, he quickly passed her the drawing of Little Beast Bai Bai.

He originally thought that seeing Little Beast Bai Bai would make her happy, but on the contrary, not only was she not delighted, she seemed to be even more despondent!

Little Taotie propped her cheeks with her hands and looked down, her rosy lips pouting.

“Don’t you like it?”

Wasn’t she wishing for a kite of Little Beast Bai Bai? Didn’t she like it before?

Little Taotie glanced at Hua Jinyan and sighed, “Your drawing is too good, I feel so dumb; I can’t even draw a single flower properly.”

Hua Jinyan looked at the large drawing spread out on the table, his eyes filled with bewilderment.

Was this drawing filled with circles supposed to be a flower?

“Which flower do you want to draw? I can teach you.”

“You haven’t seen it.”

Hua Jinyan remembered her mentioning that the Horse-Faced Man had taken her to see the Flower of the Other Shore and asked, “Are you talking about the Flower of the Other Shore?”

Little Taotie’s eyes lit up but quickly dimmed again, “Yeah, you haven’t seen it, so you definitely can’t draw it.”

“I haven’t seen it, but I can search.”

“Search?”

Hua Jinyan took out a tablet computer from his backpack and began to search for images of the Flower of the Other Shore.

“Look, isn’t this what it looks like?”

Little Taotie peered over, staring blankly at the screen for a moment, and recalled, “It’s a bit like it, but what I saw was more magical, with red petals fluttering all over the sky and mist all around.”

“I can almost imagine what it looks like now; I’ll draw it for you to see.”

Hua Jinyan first sketched with a pencil, then used red watercolor to paint the Flower of the Other Shore, and used cotton swabs dipped in water to gently blur and diffuse the watercolor.

Before Little Taotie’s eyes appeared a painting with clusters of blooming Flowers of the Other Shore, surrounded by swirling red petals, and the diffused watercolor resembling layers of mist or reflections in water.

Little Taotie’s eyes rounded in amazement, as the sea of flowers reflected in her pupils, surpassing the sea of Flowers of the Other Shore in her memory.

“It’s so beautiful!” she lay on top of the painting, reaching out her fingers to gently touch the petals, “So pretty, you’re amazing!”

Liu Aiguo, dragging Qin Xin into the house, wanted to show him Little Taotie’s blackened drawings. Upon entering, he saw Little Taotie lying on a splendid painting of a sea of flowers, smiling radiantly, her eyes like a sea where stars had fallen, her teeth pearly white, with deep dimples.
