Chapter 181: Chapter 181 Making and Flying Kites

Tao Bin had run off, leaving Cheng Guodong, Qin Xin, and Tao Shen still sprawled on the ground.

Tao Ti reached out to pull them up, her voice childish and accusatory, “Big Brother, Second Brother, Brother Shen, you actually peeked!”

The three who were pulled up simultaneously thought to themselves: Little sister’s strength is really big!

Qin Xin, smiling, retaliated, “You and Hua Jinyan made kites and didn’t call us, you played secretly behind our backs.”

Cheng Guodong agreed, “Exactly, you didn’t call us!”

Tao Shen volunteered eagerly, “I am good at making kites, I’ll make one with you!”

Hua Jinyan, “…” Just when he could finally be alone with Little Taotie, they had to show up!

Cheng Guodong had moved all the tools in front of Hua Jinyan to himself and had already started to study them.

Hua Jinyan, “…”

Cheng Guodong turned his head and flashed him a smile.

Hua Jinyan, “…”

During the making process, they were always grabbing work from each other, not letting anyone else have a turn. Although there were some bumps, the result was still perfect.

Tao Ti looked at the kite in her hands, her eyes curving in a smile.

Tao Shen seized the chance to show off his skills by taking over the task of painting Little Beast. However, he couldn’t quite capture the spirited essence of Bai Bai, Little Beast. In the end, it was the highly talented Hua Jinyan who stepped forward and redrew the eyes, fully capturing the lively and spirited nature of Bai Bai, Little Beast.

It was like adding the finishing touch; a pair of eyes saved the whole painting.

When it was time to fly the kites, Cheng Guodong’s phone rang.

Cheng Guodong cancelled the call, it rang again, he cancelled it, and it rang again, as if the other party was determined to explode his phone.

Helplessly, Cheng Guodong could only answer the call.

The voice of PR No.1, teary, came through, “Boss, you finally answered the phone!”

“The filming of the program can’t be delayed any longer! The TV station has pulled a fast one, and their leaders want to merge another talent show with the ‘Finding the Leading Lady’ show for a combined viewership peak!”

“I know, I know, I’ll go after we finish flying the kites,” Cheng Guodong hung up the phone impatiently.

PR No.1, who had his call ended, was stunned. PR No.2 came over and asked, “What did Chairman Cheng say?”

PR No.1 incredulously said, “He’s actually flying kites!”

“Flying kites?” PR No.2 held his forehead, “Is flying kites more important than filming a show?”

PR No.3, cracking sunflower seeds, completely unrushed, casually said, “It must be because Little Taotie wants to fly kites. Don’t you understand Chairman Cheng yet? His sister is his precious gem, the kind who’d give stars but never the moon. Is filming as important as his sister wanting to fly kites?”

Before PR No.1 and No.2 could reply, he spread his hands, answering his question, “Definitely not!”

PR No.1 put his hands together and mumbled under his breath.

PR No.2 puzzled, asked, “What are you muttering?”

“I hope Little Taotie grows up to be a workaholic! Otherwise, considering the manager’s doting madness, it’s over, we all might as well pack up and leave! After all, our agency only has this one artist!”

PR No.2, thinking deeply and fearfully, “I suggest Chairman Cheng hire more people.”

PR No.3 spat out a seed shell, looking at the document in his hand, and casually said, “The talent show collaborating with the ‘Finding the Leading Lady’ program isn’t bad. We could select a few from there.”

…

This was Tao Ti’s first time flying a kite. She ran while dragging the kite, but it just wouldn’t lift off, causing her brow to furrow.

Hua Jinyan picked up the kite and urged her to run faster, holding the kite high to catch the wind, and when he felt the wind pick up, he quickly let go.

“It’s flying!” Tao Ti’s eyes sparkled as she looked up at the soaring kite, the thread on her kite reel spinning rapidly.

“Pull the string!” Tao Bin shouted.
