The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 148: Chapter 148: Do Not Cooperate with Foreigners Chapter 148: Chapter 148: Do Not Cooperate with Foreigners When Cheng Guodong first made his fortune, many foreigners came knocking, wanting to collaborate and import ingredients from him.

Of course, the price they offered was certainly higher than what the locals gave.

But he was never tempted.

Call him stubborn or indifferent to wealth if you will, but at the time, he had a simple thought: Why should the good ingredients be exported to you, and our own people only get what’s left?

Are we Hua Country just a backup warehouse for foreigners? Why should we be!

His resolute rejection irritated those foreigners because he was frank and unskilled at diplomacy, offending them. After this incident, they caused him some trouble.

The businesses he had partnerships with suddenly canceled their orders, leaving him to watch as the good fruits and vegetables rotted away.

Lately, the foreigners came back, oozing arrogance, implying between the lines that if he didn’t sell to them, he couldn’t sell to anyone.

Most people would have yielded, but Cheng Guodong was determined to be stubborn to the end with them.

Although this was a calamity, the ancients weren’t wrong when they said fortune and misfortune depend on each other.

He started to think of solutions, unwilling to let the fruits and vegetables spoil and create waste.

Later on, he opened a canned fruit factory and then a pickled vegetable factory.

He wasn’t worried about the vegetables going bad anymore; he could sell the canned goods at his own pace.

This made the foreigners anxious, as they had only convinced the businesses to stop buying temporarily by supplying them from other sources, paying money daily. They couldn’t afford to keep it up.

Before the foreigners left, they threatened Cheng Guodong, saying they would go back to headquarters and come up with a Strategy; they wouldn’t let him off, and if the headquarters took action, he was undoubtedly “doomed.”

Cheng Guodong couldn’t just sit and wait for his doom; he started to figure out how to deal with the foreign headquarters.

It’s the same saying, fortune, and misfortune depend on each other.

Even in a desperate situation, it’s not possible to be without any solution.

There are always more solutions than problems.

The government somehow learned of his situation and approached him.

They signed a special supply contract on the spot.

Suddenly, his fresh vegetables and fruits had a secure market, and even if the foreigners resorted to their old tricks, they wouldn’t work anymore. Did they have the capability to fight against the government?

With the government backing him, Cheng Guodong was even less willing to collaborate with foreigners.

Plus, he had heard plenty of stories about partnering with foreigners, only to be devoured down to nothing by the capitalist sharks in the end.

Like a certain catering company, which was already leading the industry, making huge profits daily.

Foreigners approached them for collaboration and to go public.

But once they went public, the nightmare began.

The company was short-sold by foreigners; its founder was tricked into selling shares and eventually, despite being the creator and big boss, ended up without a single share, totally detached from the company!

“I’ll never cooperate with foreigners in my lifetime.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Xin smiled faintly, “That might be too absolute.”

“What do you mean?”

“Foreigners scam us out of our money, but can’t we earn money from them? Don’t forget, I’m known as the Midas offshore, specializing in making money from foreigners.”

“You are indeed quite capable, but aren’t you afraid that foreign governments will cause you trouble?”

“Some people have caused me trouble, but not foreign governments. They won’t intervene. Rather, it’s the local big shots who bother me. But I’m not worried about them. These big shots usually have their own sworn enemies. I find their rivals, exploit their conflicts to pit them against each other, leading to mutual destruction, which eventually wiped out both gangs.” Qin Xin said this cheerfully, as if he were an outsider looking in.

“That sounds risky.”

“It is risky, but you can’t back down.”
