The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 126: Chapter 126 Grandpa Ghost Comes Out

The hospital room was filled with the smell of disinfectant, and the old man lay on the bed pale, growing weaker and weaker.

Tao Ti leaned over the bed, clutching her grandfather’s hand, babbling about the events of the past days. She had even brought the fishbowl to let Grandpa see her little Xiao Ni and Xiao Mo.

“Grandpa, when will you wake up? I miss you so much…”

She rubbed her soft little face against the old man’s hand, her eyes reddening, “Grandpa, now there are so many people who like me, I’m not the unloved child in the village anymore…”

Listening to his granddaughter’s every word, and seeing her attachment to the old man, the elder’s nose tingled and he stepped out of the room.

Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin also followed, careful that the elder might have an accident.

Cheng Guodong awkwardly consoled, “Although you are her biological grandfather, but that old man raised her, it’s inevitable they have a deeper bond. Don’t be jealous, don’t cry.”

Tao Mo growled, “Where am I crying!”

Cheng Guodong pointed at his own eyes and said honestly, “I saw with both eyes, you were indeed crying.”

Tao Mo was extremely embarrassed, he roughly wiped his face with a tissue, grumbling, “I’m not jealous, you should be very clear about his condition. The doctor said he was already in poor health, and with this severe injury, he should have died on the spot. To be barely saved, he can only become a vegetative person. Either he doesn’t wake up, or if he does, it’s not something good. It’s like a final surge before death, waking up equals death’s arrival, the real departure. I’m afraid that moment will come, and my sweet granddaughter won’t be able to handle it.”

Cheng Guodong fell silent. He was also well aware of this, so every time he brought his sister to visit the old man and heard her hoping for him to wake up soon, he felt an indescribable sadness.

He hoped the old man would wake up to make his sister happy, yet feared that him waking up would be another piece of bad news, plunging his sister into sorrow.

Qin Xin looked out the window at a tree. It was a big tree that had lost all its leaves due to the season, standing bare with no signs of life.

Just like birth, aging, sickness, and death are all unavoidable.

Suddenly, the three heard a surprised voice from inside the room, “Grandpa! How did you come out?”

Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin exchanged a look, both having a guess. They knew that their sister could see Ghosts, and these words ‘come out’ might mean…

Tao Mo looked bewildered, “Came out?”

The three rushed into the hospital room and saw Little Taotie talking to the air in her milky voice, “I’ve been very good, Grandpa Fensi has been very kind to me, why do you care so much about Grandpa Fensi?”

Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin exchanged a look.

Indeed, their guess was correct, ‘come out’ referred to the soul coming out!

Tao Mo’s confusion grew as he widened his eyes, trying hard to see but unable to see anything, and asked in bewilderment, “Is she talking to herself? There’s nobody there!”

Cheng Guodong said, “She’s talking to her grandfather.”

“Her grandfather?” Tao Mo was even more puzzled. He looked at the air in front of his granddaughter, where clearly there was nothing, then he looked at the old man lying in the bed, motionless, obviously not awake.

Cheng Guodong sighed and explained, “It might be hard for you to believe, but I must tell you something, your granddaughter can see what ordinary people can’t see… Ghosts.”

At first, Tao Mo didn’t take it seriously, but when he realized what Ghosts meant, he was completely stunned, his lips quivering.

“You… you’re kidding me, right?”
