The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Must Go to the Hospital for a Check-up

Upon hearing this, the old lady not only failed to feel relieved but became even more worried, exclaiming, “What! You ate it too?”

“No, no, you must go to the hospital for a checkup; just in case something’s wrong!”

Tian Leran grabbed a child’s hand and was about to leave when Cheng Guodong blocked the way, taking out a medical report from his bag, “I have been regularly taking my sister for checkups, and she’s very healthy.”

After the last checkup indicated that his sister was malnourished, he had arranged for regular checkups and took Little Taotie for another checkup, which resulted in a very good report, with no signs of malnutrition either.

Tian Leran took the report and looked at it over and over, yet his brows were still tightly furrowed. Finally, he put down the report and took hold of both children by the hand, “No, I still want to take them to the hospital!”

Once the old lady became obstinate, no one could do anything, no one could stop her.

Little Taotie was somewhat baffled: Why were they going to a hospital again?

Hua Jinyan lowered his eyes, tightened his grip on the Rainbow Relic Beads Bracelet, and thought: In the hospital, those things are especially numerous.

Cheng Guodong and Qin Xin followed them, heading to the hospital as well.

Liu Mingzhu in the room came back to her senses and tried to rush out to call for her daughter but Tao Mo stopped her.

Tao Shen hurried over to support his weak mother, softly reassuring, “Sister is just going for a checkup at the hospital, she will be back soon. Don’t panic, sit down and rest for a while first.”

He saw his mother’s neck was covered with red marks and bruises, obviously not lightly injured.

“Mom, you should go to the hospital too?”

Liu Mingzhu, still not completely over her shock, shook her head and tried to calm down with deep breaths.

Tao Mo frowned and said, “I’ll contact Old Liu.”

Old Liu was the family patriarch’s personal doctor.

Before long, Doctor Liu arrived and after a preliminary examination said, “There’s no serious issue, but once you’ve recovered a bit, you should still go to the hospital for a full body examination. The random medication you’ve been taking lately is very bad for you.”

Tao Shen looked at the jars and bottles on the table, most of which were almost empty.

Those were medications for mental illness; someone without the illness might develop complications from taking them.

Now knowing that it was not illness but the Evil Spirits causing trouble, there was no longer any need to take these medicines.

Tao Shen grabbed a trash can and threw all the medicine from the table into it directly.

Liu Mingzhu watched quietly, without trying to stop him.

Now that her emotions had stabilized, she had completely figured everything out.

It turned out she wasn’t sick at all but the maid had become possessed by the Evil Spirit, returning to entangle with her, trying to make her take back Tao Yinyin and drive away her biological daughter.

Now fully alert, her longing for her daughter erupted like ice breaking after being frozen, surging out exponentially.

“Is baby not back yet?”

The family patriarch, having sent Doctor Liu off, heard Liu Mingzhu’s words and disapproved, “You haven’t been in contact with her; don’t rashly call her ‘baby.’ It might scare her.”

Liu Mingzhu pursed her lips, wanting to argue something but then thinking it made sense, dejectedly responded, “I understand, Dad.”

Tao Mo hadn’t expected that his daughter-in-law’s recent strangeness was because of the possession by the Evil Spirit. Looking at the injuries on his daughter-in-law’s neck, he sighed, “I know you want to acknowledge her, and it would be best if she could soon call you ‘Mom’ but we can’t rush it.”

In fact, the family patriarch also wanted to drop the title of ‘fan’ and longed to hear a genuine ‘Grandpa.’

Liu Mingzhu nodded, “I have been separated from her for too long, I have never held her, never fed her, I want to make up for that lost time.”

The family patriarch advised earnestly, “Don’t be impatient, she’s a child who lacks love and is very sensitive. We must take it slowly, be patient, first let her accept us, open her heart to us, then we can acknowledge each other.”
