The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 112: Chapter 112 The Owner of Shariputra’s Relics

The police had obtained the lab data, proving that this was not plaster cast but a poisonous substance with hallucinogenic effects that caused addiction. It was refined several times more than the popular drugs on the market and could easily lead to death from overdose.

With the evidence established, Black Fatty and his four subordinates could hardly escape the death penalty.

It seemed that even in death, Black Fatty didn’t want to let Tao Ti off easily. He insisted on dragging the Little Monster down with him, telling the police that the Little Monster had stolen his Rainbow Relic and accused her of robbery!

Of course, this case couldn’t be filed, since the item in question was stolen property to begin with, and besides, Xiao Tao Ti was only six years old.

The police superior called over Officer B and inquired, “You were at the scene at the time, did you see the Shariputra?”

Officer B, who was hard of hearing and had poor eyesight, really wanted to say he hadn’t seen it, but ultimately he honestly said, “I saw the child playing with it, probably treating it as a glass marble. I think she just thought it was fun and picked it up to play with, not stolen, and besides, she didn’t know the value of it.”

“This matter is now in your hands, make sure to retrieve it and return it to its owner.”

“Ah?”

Officer B scratched his head, feeling the task was too difficult.

“Can someone else do it? I actually…” He squirmed and whispered, “I’m a fan of Channel No. 3, I really like Little Mermaid Tao Tao, I can’t pressure her, I’ll get too emotionally involved. Please assign someone else, boss!”

“What nonsense is this? You young people always like all sorts of strange things, and this fan business, I on the other hand like to eat spicy glass noodles!” his superior said with annoyance, casting him a disdainful look, “When you’re assigned a task, you always come up with excuses. Not like our generation, we were eager to work without being asked!”

Officer B muttered under his breath, “If I really were eager to work, you might think I lack organization and discipline, that I’m not a good comrade.”

“What are you mumbling about?”

“Nothing! Didn’t say anything!”

His superior took a sip of tea and said helplessly, “I can still accommodate your personal wishes. Since you don’t want to do it, I’ll assign someone else.”

Officer B was endlessly grateful, said a bunch of nice things, and was about to leave when he heard his superior call him back.

Officer B turned around in bewilderment just as his superior coughed, looked around cautiously, and lowered his voice to ask, “Channel No. 3, where do I watch it?”

Officer B, taken aback for a moment, hurried forward, took out his phone, and proudly showed off his treasured Channel No. 3 videos, “Look, look how awesome my Little Taotie is, punching a hole through a boat with one punch!”

The superior watched with relish. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, and in a split second, he changed his demeanor, raised his voice in reprimand, “During work hours, what kind of behavior is this! Alright, since you don’t want to do it, I´ll arrange for someone else. You may go now. Come in, please!”

Officer B: “…”

Hypocrite!

Officer B left in frustration, only to see a breathtakingly beautiful woman standing at the door.

Her aura was indeed noble!

She clearly came from wealth and prestige!

As she passed by, he even smelled a delicate, comforting scent, not of perfume, but like that of sandalwood.

“Hello, I am Gu Lanxin. I heard that the Rainbow Monk’s Relic stolen from the auction three years ago had been recovered, so I came to have a look.”

“Hello, hello, you must be the owner?” the superior greeted her warmly and instructed Officer B, who was heading to the door, “Hurry up and bring some tea!”

Officer B: “…”

Fine then!

Serving tea to a beautiful lady was also a pleasant duty!

“Here’s the situation, the thief has been captured, but there’s a bit of a problem, the Rainbow Relic is not currently in the hands of the police.”
