The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 95: Chapter 95 Happy New Year, Give Me the Red Envelope

In front of the camera, Tao Ti was dressed in a red jacket, with two little buns in her hair, her face dabbed with a bit of blush, and the red ribbons tied to her buns fluttering in the wind.

Originally, the Makeup Artist had prepared a full set of makeup tools, but upon seeing Little Taotie, she decided that a little blush was all that was needed to perfect her look because her eyes were so beautiful. She feared that adding more makeup would be gilding the lily.

Thus, an adorable Chinese doll appeared in front of everyone, bowing with her hands together, exuding a festive vibe and winning everyone’s adoration.

When Cheng Guodong saw her, he almost pulled out a big red envelope to give her on the spot.

During the New Year, which elder wouldn’t like such a cute little girl?

The director of the commercial kept praising Tao Ti’s outfit after seeing it: “Good, good, very good! The New Year is almost here. Not to mention the ‘twists,’ this outfit alone is going to go viral!”

...

The director’s light-hearted comment unexpectedly turned prophetic.

“Move to the center, yes, yes, right into the ‘twist’ pile, let them surround you!”

This idea also originated from Tao Ti’s snack tasting video, those snacks sprawled on the ground, though not selected, had briefly trended because of the video.

Those advertisers initially felt downbeat about losing to mere twists, but after the daily short video went viral, netizens compiled a list of all the snacks from the video.

Many netizens then scrambled to buy all the snacks on the list, lay them on the ground, sit amidst them to make videos, and then upload them to Douyin.

Because of this marketing blitz, those snacks saw a surge in sales.

Therefore, those advertisers were especially grateful to Little Taotie and even thought about sending money as a token of thanks, which Cheng Guodong declined.

In Cheng Guodong’s view, shooting the taste-testing video was to show advertisers that it was a fair selection, absolutely no shady dealings, and no bias towards higher bidders, completely based on Little Taotie’s real and effective taste preferences.

If they accepted the money now, it would look as though the advertising from the start was planned, and if the netizens found out, who knows what they would think. If black piece found out, who knows how he would slander Little Taotie.

Although there was hardly anyone criticizing Little Taotie now, and those who did criticize didn’t get much attention, there were still many black pieces lying in wait, always ready to strike.

The content of the ad was simple: Little Taotie sitting in a pile of twists, eating them and shouting at the camera, “Happy New Year! Give me the red packets!”

Little Taotie, like a little squirrel with her mouth full of twists, mumbled: “Happy New Year! Give me the blue packets!”

Just when everyone thought they had to do another take, they heard the director shout, “Good, that’s a wrap!”

A wrap?

Wait, wasn’t that off-key?

And it was unclear! How could that be a wrap?

The cameraman looked at the director with a skeptical gaze.

The director smiled enigmatically: “Let me ask you, was it cute?”

The cameraman nodded.

“Was that little baby voice charming?”

The cameraman nodded again.

“That unclear baby voice, doesn’t it just make you want to spend money?”

The cameraman got it!

The director clapped his hands in approval: “Everything went incredibly smoothly today, I’m treating everyone to dinner!”

Cheng Guodong, however, politely declined: “We have a flight this afternoon.”

“Ah? That’s a pity.” The director wanted to get closer to Chairman Cheng, hoping someday he might invest in a good project.

“Sis, say goodbye to everyone,” Cheng Guodong said, holding Tao Ti’s hand.

“Wait, don’t go!” An elderly man hurried over with a walking stick, causing everyone to fret, fearing he might fall.
