The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 85: Chapter 85 Humans Keep Getting Stronger

In the short video, the Little Mermaids drove away the invaders, but what they were met with was not a retreat, instead, a gathering of more powerful artillery attacking the Mermaid’s domain.

Mermaids are a strong and dangerous race, and allowing such a powerful race to exist poses a danger to humans. Destroying them before they attack humans is the most thorough method.

Originally, among humans, differences in skin color classified them into different races, leading to discrimination based on those differences, eventually intensifying into the root cause of wars.

The wars on land came to an abrupt halt because the might of the Mermaid Clan was formidable, causing the previously warring humans to unite, hand in hand, different races collaborated to attack the mermaids.

Yet even with the most advanced weapons, humans are weak in the face of the powerful Mermaid Clan. When the mermaids’ singing arises, the warriors controlling the weapons become drowsy and gradually controlled, turning the firepower against the humans themselves.

The kind-hearted mermaids didn’t wish to see slaughter and thus didn’t let the warriors fire. They only wanted to send a warning and a threat to humans.

...

“Leave our territory! The Mermaid Clan has no intention of being enemies with humans, our ancestors all originated from the same source!” The beautiful Lan Wei stood on a huge rock as the waves beat upon it, countless conches floating on the sea’s surface amplified and repeated her voice again and again…

Lan Wei’s warnings were of little use; humans kept coming time and time again.

In response to the mermaids’ singing, they invented isolating earmuffs, but when they were able to fire, the waves gathered, forming a colossal wall of water that submerged all attacks.

Once again, the humans ended in failure.

Here, the mermaids gathered together, and Lan Wei sighed lightly, “Humans are smarter than I imagined. Even though they do not possess powerful special abilities and magic, they can create magic. Those things that can launch attacks are their inventions. They keep evolving those weapons, and one day, we will lose to them.”

Humans possess wisdom, inventiveness, and persistence that the Mermaid Clan does not have.

The most terrifying aspect is persistence.

When humans focus on a target, determined to eradicate it, Lan Wei knew that sooner or later, they would lose.

Just like the extinct Dragon race, the vanished Kirin…

Unless humans could accept them.

“Well, let’s make humans accept us!” Tao Ti tilted her head, smiling, “Let them like us more, not want to hurt us!”

Lin Zhi thought for a moment and in agreement said, “We should showcase our strengths, show how we can be of use to humans! My healing arts can help them heal diseases and injuries; we can start by showing them goodwill, maybe then they will accept us!”

Orange shook her head in disagreement, “We live in the sea, we’ve never been in their way, it’s their own narrow-mindedness that can’t accommodate us! Why should we please them! Why should we be the ones to flatter them!”

Some mermaids agreed with Orange’s words; there were even those that were indignant, vehemently saying, “Why should we wait for them to attack us? Give them time to invent weapons to counter us? I think we should take the initiative to strike, destroy humans now while they have no means to deal with us!”

“Yes! We can’t sit idly by! We should take the offensive!”

“Destroy humans! Destroy humans! Destroy humans!”

“Bang!” With a loud noise, Tao Ti burst a rock with her fist, sitting up high, she looked down upon the crowd, “This is precisely why humans must eliminate us, because you are in this state right now, that’s why they have to eradicate us!”
