The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 66: Chapter 66: Fierce Luo Hanchen

“Junior Brother…” the old monk was caught red-handed, looking utterly drained.

The tall, thin man in the monk’s robe, although much younger than the old monk, was one of the Eighteen Arhats and highly skilled in Martial Arts, commanding great respect.

“This is?” Luo Hanchen looked at Tao Ti, his eyes full of inquiry.

The old monk hurriedly explained.

“You’re sending a girl here to learn Martial Arts?” Luo Hanchen frowned, looking every bit the stern academic old-fashioned type.

“What era are we in? Your old-fashioned thinking needs to keep up with the times!” the old monk argued earnestly.

...

Luo Hanchen glanced at him sideways, “To learn like you, immature enough to steal food from the kitchen?”

“I…” The old monk was temporarily at a loss for words.

Luo Hanchen: “Little guy, can you knock down a tree with one punch?”

Tao Ti nodded, “I’ve even broken a boat.”

“Not a small feat, but you’re not lying, are you?”

“Good children don’t lie!” Tao Ti said earnestly, looking very serious.

Usually very strict with the young monks, Luo Hanchen suddenly laughed, a fleeting look of fondness flashed in his eyes, then he resumed his stern expression and said seriously, “I’ll test you. If you can do what I ask, I’ll take you as my disciple.”

“No way.” Tao Ti shook her head decisively, scurrying behind the old monk to hide, peeking cautiously at Luo Hanchen. Seeing Luo Hanchen look her way, she quickly pulled her head back.

As if she would want to become a disciple of this fierce-looking monk!

Clinging desperately to the old monk’s robe, Tao Ti pleaded pitifully, “Master, Master, you are my true master!”

The old monk: “…”

Her fear of her Junior Brother was deeply ingrained!

Sorry, Little Taotie!

The old monk ruthlessly stepped aside, exposing Tao Ti completely.

With her human shield gone, Tao Ti panicked, running to hide behind the old monk again, but he moved faster, propelling them both into a run.

“Stop chasing, I’m old and can’t run anymore!”

“Don’t run, let me hide a bit!”

“My Junior Brother wants to take you as his disciple, which many people would beg for; how can you be unwilling?”

“He’s too fierce, I don’t want to!”

The old monk cast a reproachful look at Luo Hanchen, as if to say with his eyes: You look so intimidating; not only does the child fear you, but even I, an old monk, am scared upon seeing you!

Luo Hanchen, struggling to keep from laughing, kept a straight face as he slowly stepped forward; within just a step or two, he was already behind Tao Ti. Too late to run, she screamed as her destiny was sealed by a firm grip on her collar!

“Come with me.”

Thus, Luo Hanchen led the little Tao Ti away.

Watching their figures disappear, the old monk patted his chest, “Truly frightening.”

When Tao Bin and the others finished their training and came looking, they only saw the old monk hiding from the sun under a big tree.

Tao Bin asked anxiously, “Where is my sister?”

The old monk paused his chewing on dried tofu, sighed, and mumbled vaguely, “She’s in for a big fortune.”

“What big fortune?” Tao Bin pressed him further.

The old monk turned away, “Don’t ask me anymore, I won’t tell.”

Tao Bin kept asking several times but didn’t get an answer, and just as he was getting a headache from it, Hua Jinyan spoke up, “Imagine a skinny old monk clinging to your leg, asking for dried tofu to eat.”

The old monk: “…”

He knew Hua Jinyan could see those things but didn’t expect them to be in the temple as well.

It must be those remnants of monks who lingered in the temple.

The old monk shuddered at the thought of a skinny monk hugging his thigh, a chill running down his back.

“He’s gone, he’s come back, and he brought several skinny monks…”

“Please, shut up!” the old monk nearly in tears, “I’ll tell you, Little Taotie was taken away by Luo Hanchen! Go bother him, don’t bother me anymore!”
