The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Ants Bite the Elephant to Death

All the mermaids dared not refute, for one thing, she made a lot of sense, and for another, her immense divine power was keeping them in check, and they certainly did not dare to confront the strongest in the Mermaid Clan.

“Lan Wei sister said, we must get along well with humans! Have you not thought about it? Opposing humans, even the powerful Dragon race had to hide and does not dare to appear readily, can we mermaids really fight against the Human Clan?”

“Don’t talk about taking advantage of humans when they are weak and wiping them out. Have you thought about how many humans there are and how many we are?”

Orange, dissatisfied with Tao Ti, stood with her hands on her hips, angrily saying, “Don’t boost others’ morale and undermine our own authority! We are also very formidable, and every time, didn’t those humans flee in disarray?”

Lin Zhi stood next to Tao Ti, glaring at Orange, “Yes, every time the humans fled in disarray, but they were not harmed, right? Those ships are like impregnable fortresses; except for Tao Tao, who among you can break through and rush in to kill a human? That’s the humans’ shell, once they hide in there, what can you do to them?”

Orange was momentarily speechless and, after holding back for a while, mumbled, “As long as Tao Tao breaks those ships, we can rush in and kill them!”

...

“Ha! You make it sound so easy! One or two ships might be fine, but what if there are more? What if they come in droves? Wouldn’t Tao Tao be worn to death?”

Orange clenched her teeth in anger, tightening her fists, “Anyway, killing one is still one less; it was they who bullied us first!”

“Do you know why the Dragon race is hiding?” Lan Wei suddenly spoke up, her voice very gentle and slow.

Orange shook her head, also somewhat puzzled.

Why would the mighty Dragon race fear humans?

“Because of numbers,” Lan Wei sighed. “Even ants, in great enough numbers, can kill an elephant, and humans’ greatest strength is not the individual, but their unity. When humans unite, with our numbers, even if we have special abilities and spells, we can’t withstand their war of attrition.”

“Do you really think there are no Great Beings among humans?”

Lan Wei scoffed with a smirk, “Now, humans have initiated the wars, and those Great Beings reclusively living in the forests are unwilling to go to battle. But once the situation changes, once we become the slaughterers, the ones to start wars, they will not stand by idly! Then, that will be the time our nightmare begins!”

Silence, a deadly silence.

Lan Wei sighed softly, “We only have two options, one is to disappear like the Dragon race, not to let humans discover us. The second is to coexist peacefully with humans.”

At this moment, the warmongers dared not fan the flames any further and ceased their agitation.

Tao Ti patted her chest, “Rest assured, I will strive to let humans know our determination, that we wish to coexist peacefully with them! I will also show our sincerity, so they will welcome us, like us, accept us!”

“That’s easy to say!” Orange rolled her eyes, turning her head away.

Lin Zhi hummed at Orange, “Tao Tao and I will test the waters in human territory, you cowards can just hide here!”

Lan Wei shook her head, not reassured, “You’re still young, let me go instead.”

“Lan Wei sister is too beautiful, she can’t go!” Lin Zhi waved her hands repeatedly.

“You have to trust us, we can definitely do it!” Tao Ti clenched her little fists, displaying a confident aura of determination.

Lan Wei was amused by their adorable expressions, sighed, and said, “I won’t stop you from going, and you shouldn’t stop me either, let’s go together.”

Tao Tao and Lin Zhi exchanged glances and nodded.
