The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Culinary Endorsement Olive Branch

Under Cheng Guodong’s operation, that short video overseas was translated into various languages, along with introductions to the characters.

Among them, Tao Ti’s character introduction included a video clip which one could click to watch. In the video, Little Taotie was seen practicing martial arts with young monks in the early morning.

Cheng Guodong had people note below: Chinese Kung Fu, Kung Fu Little Taotie, a real power-type contender, with no special effects.

Comments in various languages flowed rapidly:

“Is the ship real?”

“Are the rocks real?”

...

“Is Chinese Kung Fu real?”

“Little Taotie is mighty!”

“This child, I declare, is my idol now!”

“Kung Fu Little Taotie, mom loves you!”…

Unbeknownst to Tao Ti, she had gained a group of international fans.

PR Person 1 contacted fans from different countries to set up fan clubs, giving every fan a paradise to discuss their idol.

Lin Zhi’s agent also realized this was a great opportunity and, mimicking Tao Ti’s company’s actions, started to establish Xiao Lingzhi’s international fan clubs. The effect was very good—although Xiao Lingzhi’s fame wasn’t as widespread as Kung Fu Little Taotie, she also managed to carve out a niche for herself.

Orange’s agent wanted to do the same but found that their Orange hardly had any fans. That’s because the latter half of the short video was actually focusing on Tao Ti, Lin Zhi, and Lan Wei, showcasing how they integrated with humans and gained human affection.

Orange’s role in it felt somewhat like a minor antagonist, including her initial scenes where she was portrayed as bellicose. These did not endear her to the audience and even caused discomfort.

The agent scolded furiously, “It’s all your own fault. If you hadn’t stirred up trouble and angered the scriptwriter, the script wouldn’t have been drastically changed. They wouldn’t have intentionally made you into what you were!”

The script had undergone major changes after Little Taotie’s punch broke the ship. Initially, the story just involved the three Little Mermaids blending in with humans to seek revenge—there was no particular message, and it was just meant to be an interesting tale.

However, subsequent overall changes were made because Orange did not get along with the other two children and was the one to instigate trouble. Therefore, she was given the role of having a falling out with them, and as a result, she ended up with very little screen time.

Orange hung her head low, her eyes brimming with tears, and her little fists clenched tightly. She felt all kinds of unfairness in her heart. She thought the scriptwriter was biased and that Little Taotie was cheating her way to the top, but she dared not say anything, nor even cry.

“There’s a remake of the short video into a full-length movie coming up, and they’re insisting on the original cast. This is your only chance! You must perform well this time. Considering the short video’s fame overseas, the movie will definitely be released internationally. You must carve out a reputation for yourself overseas!”

“Orange, I don’t expect you to be more famous than Tao Ti and Lin Zhi, but you shouldn’t be without any fame at all, just an also-ran, right?”

At those words, Orange finally couldn’t hold back her tears and started crying profusely.

“I won’t be just a foil! I will be more famous than them all!”

Her agent didn’t have the heart to crush her spirits but knew very well that it was impossible.

After becoming famous, Tao Ti received many invitations, and quite a few endorsement deals came knocking.

Looking at a stack of documents related to gourmet food, Cheng Guodong laughed and said, “This does give her an official reason to eat more!”

PR Person 1 said, “These have already been selected, they are well-known food brands with a good reputation.”

PR Person 2 added, “Like Candied Hawthorn, traditional green bean cakes, nuts all are pretty good choices.”

Cheng Guodong shook his head, “I can’t be the one to decide this.”

PR Person 3 asked, “Then who will choose?”

Cheng Guodong smiled slyly, “Let my sister have a taste and choose for herself!”
