The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 60: Chapter 60: Want to Experience Shaolin Temple

The duck frame was sent away, and another chef came to continue slicing duck meat. By the time this roasted duck was finished, the frame of the previous duck had already been turned into a bowl of duck soup and served.

Besides roasted duck, the restaurant also offered other hot and cold dishes.

The waitress brought over a box of tofu, which was placed in a wooden frame next to which were several small white plates filled with raisins, meat floss, crushed cashews, and more…

Tao Ti asked Lin Zhi, “Have you tried this before?”

Lin Zhi shook her head.

The two kids stared wide-eyed at the waitress, who felt embarrassed and smiled gently, “This is milk tofu. You will definitely like it.”

...

The tofu, in the wooden frame, was cut into small pieces by the waitress and then topped with crushed cashews, raisins, and more.

“There, give it a try.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Zhi couldn’t wait and scooped a spoonful, opened her mouth wide, and took a bite, her mouth filling with a milky fragrance. She nodded repeatedly to Tao Ti, indicating it was delicious.

Tao Ti also scooped a spoonful and took a big bite, her eyes blissfully squinting like little crescents, and her small dimples deepened. The tofu in her mouth was sweet and fragrant, her appearance even sweeter than the milk tofu itself.

The waitress almost couldn’t resist pinching her pale, tender cheeks that resembled the milk tofu, but professional ethics held her back.

Several more dishes were served one after another, including stir-fried beef cubes, dragon fish, and treasure shrimp…

After a full meal, Lin Zhi slumped in her chair, ungracefully sprawled out. Her manager cradled his forehead, unable to watch.

Tao Ti continued fighting valiantly, the table almost swept clean.

Tao Shen grew anxious and occasionally worriedly glanced at his sister’s small belly. Although he had heard that his sister was a Big Stomach King, seeing it with his own eyes still shocked him.

Three or four grown men probably couldn’t eat that much, right?

Seeing his concern, Cheng Guodong said, “Don’t worry, I’ve taken her for a check-up, and there’s no issue.”

“Is the hospital reliable?” Tao Shen couldn’t help but start to doubt.

Cheng Guodong glanced at him, “Would I be at ease if it wasn’t? Besides, she is my sister, why do you seem more worried than I am?” Cheng Guodong eyed Tao Shen with a probing, suspicious look.

Tao Shen pursed his lips and vaguely said, “You will understand later.”

Lin Zhi couldn’t eat anymore, so she turned her head to watch Tao Ti eat. As she watched, her eyes widened in shock, and she tugged at her manager’s sleeve, lowering her voice, “Her foodie persona, isn’t it just for show?”

The astonishment of Lin Zhi’s manager matched hers; he had also thought that Tao Ti’s public image as a Big Stomach King and a little gourmet was merely a public facade—who knew she could really eat like this!

Cheng Guodong looked at them and explained again, “It’s okay, she has no health issues, she’s just a natural Big Stomach King.”

Lin Zhi admired her greatly and exclaimed, “If I could eat that much, my strength would be really great. Then when master asks me to chop bricks with my bare hands, I could do it!”

Cheng Guodong asked, “Is your master still accepting disciples?”

Lin Zhi waved her hand, “He always says having me as a disciple will shorten his lifespan by ten years; getting another one would kill him on the spot.”

Cheng Guodong looked slightly disappointed, “I was thinking of having my sister learn martial arts with you, so she could defend herself too.”

Tao Shen’s eyes lit up, and he suggested, “My brother is studying kung fu at Shaolin Temple. How about letting Little Taotie experience it there?””

Tao Ti wiped her hands clean with a wet cloth and tilted her head to ask, “The Shaolin Temple that released the Eighteen Arhats?””

Cheng Guodong, somewhat surprised, laughed and asked, “You know about the Eighteen Arhats?””

Tao Ti’s eyes sparkled brilliantly as she nodded, “Grandpa told me the story of the Eighteen Arhats. Only by defeating the Eighteen Arhats can you get the ‘Green Dragon to the left and the White Tiger to the right,’ which means mastering martial arts!”

“So, do you want to go to Shaolin Temple?” Cheng Guodong asked.

Tao Ti nodded vigorously, “Yes!”
