Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1044: Chapter 1044:- Lies and Deception

The next second, the warm smile on Aditya’s face vanished. ”The Celestial Dragon Empire needs its rightful Emperor.”

”The days of you deceiving everyone by wearing a fake Crown and sitting on a Fake Throne of the Celestial Dragon Empire are done.”

The moment Aditya spoke those words, everyone, regardless of which side they picked, froze in place. The whole hall suddenly became silent.

The only people who remained calm were Boris, Athena, Laura, and Rin.

Even the Goddess of War stared at Ren with a shocked face.

”You sent your men to the Dwarf Tribe living in the Tunnel World so that their Tribe Leader would personally come and alter the runes, allowing you to sit on the throne and wear the crown.”

”Aditya, what nonsense are you uttering?” Ren, unable to endure the truth any longer, unleashed his full Aura and focused it on Aditya.

Even before his Aura could lock onto Aditya, the Auras of Boris and Malakor Harrington erupted from behind and countered the Aura of Ren. In fact, the combined Auras of two old monsters were so strong that Ren found himself suppressed.

For a moment, he felt suffocated and found it hard to breathe. Suddenly, his body had become 50 times heavier.

”Aditya, you continue.” Boris knew the consequences of not being able to wear the Crown and sit on the Throne meant very well. In fact, he understood the consequences better than anyone else.

”All this time, my dear cousin.....!!!” Ren looked like he wanted to kill Aditya. But couldn’t because of Boris and Harrington suppressing him. At this moment, he regretted coming to this funeral more than anything.

He thought he had done his preparation and was confident. But in reality, what he believed was his confidence was actually his overconfidence. He regretted being so overconfident.

”My dear cousin, have been wearing fake replicas to fool everyone.”

”Ren, is that true?” Boris looked like a Dragon who was on the verge of losing it. The old man slowly stepped forward and stood between Aditya and Ren.

Meanwhile, every single noble in the empire nervously held their breath. Standing in the presence of the old Emperor, who had ruled the empire for more than 20,000 years with an iron fist, there was not a single person who did not feel fear. No matter how powerful or influential they were, none of them could remain completely calm in front of him.

Boris was the very definition of a ruthless ruler. When he first took the throne, he was inexperienced and had little to no support behind him. But over time, he changed everything. Through his decisions, his strength, and his absolute authority, he transformed the Celestial Dragon Empire into something far greater than before.

And when he finally stepped down, he did not leave behind a weak or unstable empire. He left it at the peak of its power. At its Golden Age.

Ren did not reply. What was he supposed to say in this? Ren knew that he would lose many of his supporters the moment he admitted the truth or backed down a little.

He did not expect Aditya to know this. Even with the organisation’s scouts keeping their eyes on his cousin almost all the time since he left the six continents, there were still instances where they completely lost track of Aditya. For example, the organisation had little to almost no information about Aditya’s meeting with the Dwarf Tribe Leader. The Organisation also did not know about the secret tunnel that he used every time to cross the Sand Mirage Desert within hours to reach his allies.

Ren did not expect the dwarf tribe to support Aditya. If he had known that Aditya knew the truth so well, then instead of confronting his cousin at the funeral, he would have just launched an attack.

Seeing Ren remaining silent, Boris’s Aura flared. His Aura was now mixed with killing intent and anger.

Boom.....!!!!!

Despite being a mid-7th order, Ren felt suffocated. He felt like his lungs could not take any air. He felt like he was able to fall to his knees at any given second. But how could he allow that to happen? Even if the one who was trying to suppress him was the Old Emperor Boris, Ren would not bend his knees.

His ego and pride would rather tell him to die than bend his knees and fall on his knees.

”As the Emperor, he always carries the Crown with him.” Aditya looked at Ren before looking at Boris.

”Ask him to take out the Crown. Grandpa, you have worn that Crown for almost 20,000 years. Surely, you would be the best person in this hall to determine if the Crown is Real or not.”

”Ren, take out the crown,” Boris demanded in anger. Aditya had not told Boris about this part when he took Boris to meet his parents. Boris already disliked Ren because he was one of those people who managed to see through Ren’s pretentious character.

Now, after learning everything from Aditya and his son, Boris could hardly believe that such a disappointment came from his own blood. In fact, Boris was so mad that he almost rushed to end Ren’s life with his own hand. It was better to kill his own blood before this disappointment could shame the Royal Family even more.

Ren did not know what to do. This whole situation wasn’t supposed to go this way. He had envisioned a scenario of the funeral, where Aditya would come with two goddesses, only to be mocked in the face by him and his followers.

The Goddess of War wasn’t present in his imagined version of this funeral. The old Emperor Boris was the last person he had ever expected to appear with Aditya?

”Mister Boris, Ren is currently the emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire. Even if the throne and the crown aren’t accepting him as the true Emperor, he is still the Emperor of this Empire.”

”I demand that you respect him as the Emperor.” It was Ren’s best friend and the current Prime Minister of the Celestial Dragon Empire.

Boris coldly looked at Murphy. Facing the Old Emperor’s cold gaze, even Murphy was afraid. But at this moment, if they let their fear be visible on their faces. It will only put them in a more disadvantageous situation.

And as a result, things will only get worse for them.

”Son of Barajas, as the current Prime Minister, you should understand this better than anyone else. If the Royal Crown and the Throne of the Empire do not accept someone as the Emperor, then that person has no right to wear the crown or sit upon the throne. And if that is the case, then it clearly means that Ren, at this very moment, is unworthy of being the Emperor.”

Boris then looked at everyone and continued. ”This also means the idiots who chose to fight for the Emperor are fighting for a king who isn’t even worthy of ruling the Empire.”

It was clear what Boris was trying to do here. He wanted to use this moment to gather everyone’s support. If the nobles stood together and supported Aditya, then even if Ren refused to step down from the throne on his own, it would not matter. With the combined power of all the noble houses, they could easily suppress him and strip him of his authority in less than twelve hours. Once that happened, there would be no need for a long and destructive conflict.

For the former Emperor, this was the best possible outcome of the civil war. After all, he had spent more than 20,000 years of his life building and protecting this empire. He did not want to see the noble houses turn against each other and destroy everything from within. The thought of the empire being consumed by the flames of civil war was something that deeply pained him.

He had seen too much, fought too much, and sacrificed too much to let everything fall apart like this.

The four National Treasures behind Ren helped the Emperor by shielding Ren from Boris’s Aura.

Ren also found some courage. He looked at everyone before looking at his grandfather.

”Yes, I can’t wear the Royal Crown.”

”Yes, I can’t sit on the royal throne.”

”But there is a much bigger reason for this than just being unqualified.”

”But my short answer is, uncle was so mad at my cousin that he decided to change the runes on the Crown and Throne so that Aditya can never be the emperor. But in the process of trying to do that, he accidentally damaged the runes.”

”This is why, after becoming the Emperor, I had no choice but to contact the same Dwarf Tribe. The Ancestors of that tribe were responsible for the creation of the Royal Crown and the Royal Throne.”
