Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1015: Chapter 1015:- The Truth Behind the Exile

”Son, would you believe me that in the last 7 years, what I was doing wasn’t even in my control?” Suddenly, Alen’s words made Aditya freeze.

”What do you mean?” Aditya lost his calm and composure for a moment there.

Alen looked at his son before looking at the Dragon Palace. From his expression, even he looked unsure.

After taking a deep breath, Aditya also calmed down and just silently sat beside his father and waited for him to speak.

Both of them remain silent for almost 10 minutes. Those 10 minutes were very slow and heavy, especially for the former Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire.

Aditya did not force him to speak. He just patiently waited for his father to speak. What he wanted was answers that he was certain of.

The ice between them broke when Alen let out a tired and exhausted sigh.

Sigh....!!!!

”Now that I look back, the things that I did in the last few years of being the Emperor are so strange. These are things that I would never do.”

Hearing this, Aditya looked at his dad. He still had not decided whether he should trust this man’s words. But he let him continue speaking as he wanted to know more.

Perhaps somewhere in his heart, he wanted some kind of explanation that would give him that ultimate closure to move forward or erase that anger and hatred that had built up in his heart towards his parents.

”When you were born, the entire Celestial Dragon Empire held a banquet that lasted for forty days. For ninety-nine days, I personally donated gold bars to the needy and the poor of the empire. I donated so much gold that the price of gold within the empire dropped significantly, and even the gold market of the main continent was heavily affected.”

”We loved you so much that even before you were born, your mother and I had already decided that you would be engaged to all seven goddesses and become their husband. We did not do this to gain political leverage or form alliances. We did it because, even if our child were born without any talent, with the support of the seven goddesses, our child would still become extraordinary; someone who could stand above even the past Emperors of the Celestial Dragon Empire.”

Aditya did not know any of this. But he had heard from Alfred when he was young that gold was very cheap within the Celestial Dragon Empire.

’I guess this explains why gold was so cheap.’

”My son, we love you more than words can describe. The part that I find the most strange and weird is why we suddenly stopped loving you and became so cruel towards you.” He did not look at Aditya. His gaze lingered on the Dragon Palace as the Palace continued floating in their direction.

Aditya looks at his dad, as if to say, ” You would know the answer.

”When I ask myself why I did this to you, I can’t find a valid reason. Even if you had 1000s of faults in you, you are still our son. Abandoning you to the streets is something that we would never do, even if you committed treason.”

Only he and his wife truly knew what they had gone through just to have a child. They did not do this because they wanted their child to inherit the throne. They did not do this because they wanted someone to carry on their legacy. They did it simply because they wanted a child who would be the proof of their love and their union.

It was extremely hard for them to have a child because of many factors. First of all, the stronger a cultivator was, the harder it was for that cultivator to have a child. Even if the cultivator can get pregnant, giving birth comes with extreme life-threatening risks, which his wife went through during Aditya’s birth.

Second, it was extremely hard for dragons to get pregnant. Dragon males have a very high sex drive. They have the second-highest sex drive after incubus. Despite that, it isn’t unusual for a dragon couple to take an average of a hundred to 500 years to have a child. And for them, the process was even tougher.

Both Alen and his wife were very strong. Not to mention, they had a very strong dragon bloodline. Both of these factors made it so difficult that even after 2000 years of trying, they could not have a child. But Heaven finally decided to favour them, and they finally had Aditya.

Why would they abandon a child that was born after 2000 years of trying? It simply did not make any sense.

”The reason I claim that I was not in control of my actions is that a few years before exiling you, things were completely different. But it was as if something was slowly poisoning our minds to stop loving you and slowly treat you with more cruelty and disrespect.” A few years back, within the span of months, their behaviour towards him had completely changed. At first, even Aditya found it strange.

”Here is the part that I find the most strange. After exiling you, it’s like both of us became completely emotionless.”

”Like, we completely lost or erased our emotions. Even when both of us were alone, there was no form of emotion expressed. There was no love. There was no joy. It was as if both of us acted like puppets following our normal routines with a fake smile.”

”Then one day, I don’t know what happened out of nowhere, where I decided to retire and give up the position of the emperor and the throne to your cousin. After giving the throne, I spent a few more days helping him adjust to his new role, and then I don’t know what happened. I can’t remember anything else beyond that.”

Hearing everything, Aditya became silent. He really felt that the points his father raised were very convincing and well-founded. He could not find any reason to doubt them.

’Did someone slowly influence their thoughts and actions in their favour?’ In this world, almost anything was possible. Mind control was almost very common. There was no reason for him not to think that might be a very plausible possibility.

He had just seen a very powerful ancient black dragon being controlled by the organisation leader, Leo.

’Mind control.... Black dragon....’

’Only someone who tries to slowly brainwash and control my parents would be doing it to gain some kind of benefit from this.’

’Who is the person that benefited the most from my exile?’The answer was his cousin.

The more he thought about this, the more he felt that if his parents were indeed being mind-controlled, then it would be his cousin, who is also a member of the organisation.

’It all makes sense now.’ At that moment, Aditya should be feeling a deep hatred towards his cousin, but strangely enough, he felt nothing or rather, he felt his emotions being suppressed because it was just too overwhelming.

”Rin, I want to meet Mom.” Aditya still wasn’t one hundred per cent sure that his parents were brainwashed by his cousin and the organisation. Others who were watching and hearing everything while hiding themselves noticed that after his father’s explanation, his attitude towards his parents had softened.

Alen just silently watched as a beautiful woman with long black hair that almost reached her calves appeared in front of her son and father.

The beautiful woman stood at a height of 5’4” tall. She was fair-skinned and had a small brown horn coming out of her left forehead near her hairline. The small horn did not make her look ugly. Instead, it made her look even more elegant and captivating.

She wore a beautiful, Deep Purple long dress that only made her more beautiful.

This was Aditya’s mother.

Empress Elena.

The moment Elena appeared, her gaze was instantly locked onto Aditya. Unlike her husband, who needed time to sit down and calm himself to remember everything, she did not need that.

The moment she saw Aditya, she remembered everything. She remembered every horrible thing that she did to her baby.

Without any hesitation, she rushed to Aditya and tightly hugged him.

She broke down and started sobbing loudly.

”My baby........!”

The love that a mother had for her child was truly special. Regardless of how much time passed, it did not even take her a second to recognise Aditya. Regardless of how much he changes, she can always recognise him at a glance.

”Aditya.......!!!” Her body trembled as she cried loudly while hugging him. Aditya looked at his dad, who was also silently shedding tears, before looking at his mom.

Aditya caught sight of Rin, Athena, and Alfred nodding at him. Alen could not see them since Rin had made them invisible to Alen.

Slowly, he gently held her.

”Mom.....!!!” The Monarch felt a lump in his throat. Just uttering that single word seems to have taken all of his strength.
