Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1011: Chapter 1011:- Regret of Life

”Why is the potion not working?” The girls could not understand why the potion made from two extremely rare herbs with very strong healing properties was not working on him. The potion was so potent that it could literally bring anyone back to full health from the brink of death.

Riya and Julia were the most shocked ones. After all, both of them understood just how potent the healing properties of both potions were better than anyone else. Yet the potion was showing no sign of working.

”Did we do something wrong?” Even Riya sounded unsure.

”I don’t know,” Julia replied in a low tone.

Even though she was the goddess of alchemy, creating an antidote to a poison that she had never seen before within less than three minutes was basically impossible. And she was so shaken that her mind wasn’t even working properly. She couldn’t process things normally.

’Is there nothing I can do?’ Realising that she might not be able to do anything for her beloved, her eyes red, she was almost on the verge of crying.

Riya wasn’t doing better. Her eyes were also red.

Seeing their expressions, Lilith also wanted to give up. If the goddess of nature and the goddess of alchemy together cannot do anything, what was she supposed to do?

But then she looked at his face, which was turning pale, and the bedsheet was soaked in his blood now.

Seeing him like this, she knew that she could not accept this outcome. ’No! You can’t die like this. I won’t allow it.’

Her mind, soul and heart simply refused to accept this kind of outcome.

”Poison!!!”

”Divine blood!”

”Rin’s divine blood!”

It was as if at that moment she had found a little bit of hope.

She horribly turned to Julia and Riya.

”What if....” She took a deep breath so that her voice would stop shaking from nervousness and fear.

”What if we mixed Rin’s divine blood into the potion and then fed it to him?”

Hearing this, Julia and the elven Princess exchanged a look. Although the chances of this working were very slim, this was the only logical solution they had right now.

”Where is Rin?” Julia asked. She had not seen Rin since having breakfast together.

”She is somewhere within the Dragon Palace. I will go and bring her within a minute.” The good thing was that Rin was within the Dragon Palace. Before leaving the Floating Island, she had caught a glimpse of her walking with Lara and Clara.

Lilith looked at Aditya one last second before disappearing. Never in her life had she moved this fast before. It was like her legs moved before her brain could think.

Within less than 10 seconds, she found Rin at the edge of the floating island. Still trying to see where Aditya was. She was standing with Lara and Clara. All of them looked extremely worried. After all, they had seen it get hit by the gigantic claw of the Black Dragon.

She was not alone.

There were other girls with her.

But Lilith did not care. At that moment, she only needed it her.

”Come with me.”

Before Rin could react, Lilith grabbed her and forcefully dragged her to the laboratory, where others were anxiously waiting for her.

Rin was completely confused about the entire thing before her gaze landed on Aditya, and her expression instantly changed. Before she could rush to hug him, others stopped her.

”This isn’t the time.” Riya tried to speak in a gentle tone.

”He is dying.”

”How did this happen?” Rin asked in a trembling tone.

”Now isn’t the time to explain.” Julia said in a cold tone. There was not enough time to explain everything. If they started explaining, Aditya might be dead before she finished her explanation or before Rin truly understood the gravity of the situation.

”Give us a few drops of your divine blood. This is the only way he can survive this now.” Hearing this, the Female Divine Dragon did not even think twice before putting a knife and making a large cut on her left wrist.

”Take as much of my divine blood as you need. But Aditya must live.”

Julia grabbed a glass tube and filled it with her blood. Julia had calmed down enough to get her mind to work on making an antidote for the poison.

”Normally, I would do some tests to see the ratio of her blood I need to mix with the potion to create an antidote. But there simply isn’t enough time for it.” So she decided to add 5 drops of her blood into the potion. The potion that she created had 5 drops of Dragon Grass extract and 5 drops of Nine-Leaf Spirit Orchid mixed with a few drops of other very rare healing herb extracts.

Julia created a small flame on her left palm and then used it to gently heat the potion. She increased the heat to a point where the potion just boiled.

”What are you doing?” Lilith almost lost her patience. She felt this was unnecessary.

Rin also learned that Aditya had less than 45 seconds to live. Hearing this, she also became extremely tense, so much so that her body was shaking and she was sweating.

”The potion is thick and heavy. Divine Dragon blood drops simply cannot be added to the potion and stirred. For the potion properties to properly bond together, the potion must be heated to a boil.”

Right now, Julia feels extremely stressed. She never felt this stressed in her entire life.

This was undoubtedly the most stressful moment of her life. Now his life was in her hands, and if she failed in this, then he would die. A part of her felt afraid that this new potion would not work.

For the first time in her life, she was doubting her own words. But she did not say it out loud. She did not want to destroy the hopes of others. As the First Lady, she decided to be bold and courageous at this moment. As for what would happen next, she had not thought that far.

A few more seconds silently passed. Julia began adding one drop at a time and then gently stirring it for a few seconds before adding another drop.

”How much longer do you need?” Riya asked while looking at Aditya.

His condition was getting worse and worse. Even his gaze was starting to look unfocused. It was as if he were on the verge of losing his consciousness.

”30 seconds.”

”Why is it taking that long?” Rin asked in a desperate tone.

”Well, this is the minimum time needed for the potion to be ready. It cannot be rushed; otherwise, this potion will be considered imperfect, and the effect might not be as good as a perfect and finished antidote.”

”If it takes 30 seconds, he will be left with just less than 15 seconds. Is it enough for the antidote to take effect?”

Julia did not look at the speaker. Her whole focus was on making the antidote. But she listened to whatever everyone was saying.

”15 seconds will be more than enough.”

Meanwhile, in the last seconds of his life, Aditya began to reflect on the life he had had since he came to this world.

It has been more than two years since he came to this world.

Within such a short time, he had accomplished so much that his accomplishments would put 99.99999% Emperors to shame. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest Emperors in the history of this world.

’My only regret is not leaving a safer world for my family.’ He knew how much of a big threat the Organisation was.

’Once I am dead, surely they will come for the girls.’

In the long term, the Istarin Empire will collapse. The fate of everyone around me will change.’

By this moment, Aditya could hear what the girls were saying, but could not see them anymore because of the purple blood flowing out of his eyes in the form of blood tears.

『Ding! Time until the Host dies 18 seconds』

’I am sorry!!!’At this moment, he wasn’t a Monarch or the King of Dragons. His regrets involved not leaving a better future for his family.

He could only apologise. He felt he could have done so much more for them.

『Ding! Time until the Host dies 17 seconds』

’At the very least, I should have created safe escape plans for everyone so that even after my death, everyone can safely live their lives.’

『Ding! Time until the Host dies 16 seconds』

”It’s done!!!” Riya gently raised his head by placing her palm at the back of his head. Using her other palm, she gently opened his mouth.

Julia slowly began pouring the newly made antidote into his mouth. The girls anxiously watched as the entire antidote reached down his throat and reached his stomach.

『Ding! You have taken the Antidote.』

『Ding! It will take 11 seconds for the antidote to stop the Poison’s spread.』
