Chapter 1027: Chapter 1027:- Fate of People who get trapped in Dragon Mountain Range

”Aditya, where are you?” Rin became scared the moment she separated from her man. Just a few meters of distance between them, and she could not see him or anyone else anymore. Her only option was to use her voice and call him out.

”Don’t worry, I am here.” He came out of the purple fog with Athena and Laura following him behind. Both girls remained very close to him and did not dare to put more than 2 meters distance between them.

”You left me here?”

”Of course not. I saw a Sand Python, so I was checking it out.” Unlike others, Aditya could see through the purple fog. In fact, in his field of vision, there was no purple fog. He saw things very clearly.

He only saw the purple fog when he was outside the Dragon Mountain Range.

Aditya understood that his mistake had made her very scared.

”My fault.”

He pinched her right cheek and said with a gentle smile. ”Don’t worry, even if you are separated from me, I can always find you.”

Just then, they heard a loud roar.

Roar.....!!!!!

”What’s that?” Laura immediately asked.

”A horde of Peak 6th-order Lightning Lions is charging towards us.” Aditya immediately grabbed everyone and vanished with teleportation.

After a multiple series of short teleportations, he stopped in front of a cave.

There was already someone in the cave. Not to mention, what they saw in the cave put them on high alert.

”Are you guys new here?”

The man had very long, beautiful hair. But his appearance was dishevelled. Despite having a very handsome face, he looked like a beggar on the street.

His clothes were torn, dirty, and worn out. He did not look like a cultivator. He looked like someone who had not showered for who knows how long.

”Yes, we are new here,” Aditya replied while remaining cautious.

’Athena, I’m sure you can also send his cultivation right.’ Laura asked her other half through their mental link. Athena just gave her a very small nod in response while hearing what the man had to say.

The cultivation of this man was around mid-seventh order. This meant that even if all four of them perfectly coordinated their attacks, they still would not be able to win against someone like him. If he wanted, he could sever their heads before they could even birth their next thoughts.

”Do you guys know the exit to this place?”

Even though this random cultivator had had very little hope that this newcomer would know the exit or the direction of the exit, he still asked. Because after being trapped here for more than many thousands of years, even if there was just 0.0001 %, he would still take that chance just so that he could escape this forsaken place.

He was tired of seeing purple and purple in every single direction around him.

He had long forgotten what the sky even looked like.

He missed the starry night sky.

He missed those green trees that he never stopped to appreciate.

After being trapped here for who knows how long, he missed even the smallest things that he previously took for granted. Things as simple as seeing the beautiful sky or watching the quiet glow of the moon with a bottle of wine. In this place, those simple moments felt more distant than anything else he had ever lost.

Before coming to this place, he used to like the colour purple. In fact, Deep Purple cour used to be his favourite colour, but now, after being trapped in this forsaken place for who knows how long, he hated the colour purple more than anything else in his life.

Aditya was about to tell him the direction of the exit, but then he stopped when he noticed the large number of skeletons that were in his cave.

The man happened to see Aditya and the girls with him, staring at the skeletons in his cave.

”Don’t worry about this.” He said with a very casual and relaxed smile.

”These skeletons belong to those wandering cultivators like me who were stranded here. I happened to find them wandering near my cave, so I did them a favour and put them out of their misery and took their storage rings for my personal use.”

Aditya and the girls immediately understood that he did not kill them out of goodwill; instead, he killed them because he wanted to take their resources and increase his chances of survival in this place.

And the fact that he kept their skeletons in his cave just went to show how lonely he was after being trapped here for thousands of years.

This man was mentally unstable.

From the crazed look on his face, it was clear that he was willing to go to any length just to escape from this place.

Letting a man like this escape from this place was a crime against humanity. It was better for a lunatic like him to stay trapped in this purple fog world.

”I thought the purple fog did not affect anyone whose cultivation is in the seventh order?” Aditya could not help but ask the man this question.

”When I entered this place, I was a peak, sixth-order cultivator. But the purple fog has affected my mind so much that even after reaching mid-seventh order, I still haven’t been able to resist the purple fog’s effect.”

Aditya nodded his head as this clearly made sense. The creator of this place made sure that even if those trapped cultivated can reach seventh order, it would still not be enough for them to escape this place.

”But I have a theory that once I reach Peak Seventh order, I will be able to escape from this place. Unfortunately, it has been multiple centuries since I made any progress in my cultivation. Without any resources, my cultivation has been stuck in one place for centuries.” Without the resources that he took from those cultivators, he never would have reached Mid 7th-order.

The purple fog covered everything like a blanket, which meant that it was extremely difficult for anyone to count days or keep track of time. The fog naturally kept everything dark and cloudy. No sunlight, or any kind of external factor, can penetrate the fog.

”I only managed to reach mid-seventh order because I killed all those cultivators and took their resources. It was my own source of getting resources and ultimately key to my exit from this hell.” He had no shame in admitting this fact.

If Aditya were in his place, he also would have done the same, but after staying isolated and trapped in this place for thousands of years, he clearly wasn’t in the right state of mind. The most disturbing fact was that the cave, which is his home, was filled with skeletons, and he was sleeping with dead bodies.

This whole scene would have been more disturbing if, instead of seeing skeletons, they had seen rotting corpses of his victims inside the cave.

”Since everyone who enters this place has their senses so disoriented that they can’t even tell if they’ve been walking in circles for hundreds of years, how did you manage to overcome that and even find a cave to use as your shelter?”

”My mind was able to gain at least some form of resistance against the purple fog and its effects once I reached mid-seventh order. But even now, if I walk, just 200 m away in a straight line from the cave, I will completely forget the direction of my cave.” If he walked in a zigzag pattern or in some random pattern, then even 10 meters should be enough for him to forget the entrance of his cave, and he would keep wandering in search of his cave for many, many years.

Because the purple fog was so dense, it was impossible to see anything beyond a few meters at most.

”I did test this around a few hundred years back. As a result, I kept wondering for 191 years. In the end, the cave was just within 500 meters of my range, but because my senses became so disoriented, I was walking just a few meters from the entrance of my cave and did not even know it.” Just thinking about that time, he felt very depressed and angry.

”If you can walk 191 years continuously in search of your cave, why not just use that time to look for an exit?” Aditya asked again.

”My simple answer is that even I don’t know just how far I am away from the exit of this place. For the first thousands of years, I was roaming around this whole place without knowing or understanding which direction I was coming from or going in.”

”Understanding that this place is especially designed to keep its prisoners from reaching the exit. I just gave up and focused on cultivating and reaching peak seventh order as soon as possible.”

”By the way, I don’t know your name,” Aditya asked.

”It’s John Pedro.”

”Which Empire or Sect are you from?”

”I am a core discipline of the Night Rider Sect.”

”Then why haven’t your Night Rider Sect hasn’t sent anyone to rescue you?” If any outside 7th-order is not affected by the purple fog, the sect should have sent an elder to rescue him by now.

”Even I don’t have an answer to that question.”

”I will eventually get that answer, but now help me get out of this place.” Towards the end, his voice became sharp and cold.

From his tone and the way his Aura flared up, it was obvious that he wasn’t going to take No for an answer.
