Medical and Martial God

Chapter 387: Chapter 387: Assemble the Blood Cloth Guards, Let’s Go Sharpen Our Blades at the Border

Ye Xiu was baffled. I’m making Yin Tianxi my godson, so why the hell are you kicking up a fuss?

”Godfather, please accept me as your godson!” Ling Yun pleaded, kowtowing three times with a loud THUD, THUD, THUD.

Actually, Ling Yun wasn’t stupid. He knew very well the immense benefits he would gain by acknowledging Ye Xiu as his godfather. First, as Ye Xiu’s godson, he could join him in entering the medical field. Second, he could learn Ye Xiu’s Sword Intent and become an existence that could surpass a War God. As for the age difference, so what if he was only three years younger than Ye Xiu?

”Um... Ye Liangchen, why don’t you just accept Ling Yun as your godson?” Kong Ruoruo urged, trying hard to suppress her laughter.

At these words, Ling Yun quickly shot a grateful look at Kong Ruoruo, who returned an ”I’ve got your back” glance.

”Alright, since you are so filial, I will accept you as my godson,” Ye Xiu said as he helped Ling Yun up. In truth, he wanted to make Yin Tianxi his godson not because he was impressed with Yin Tianxi’s strength or talent, but because he would need a local power like him when he went to Hexia Road to crush the Long Family. The Ling Family was also a local power on Hexia Road, so taking Ling Yun as a godson was a good choice as well.

”Thank you, Godfather!” Ling Yun was ecstatic. He looked at Yin Tianxi and said, ”Miss this opportunity and you won’t get another. You need to think this through, Yin Tianxi.”

Yin Tianxi was still hesitating. Staring at Ye Xiu, he asked, ”Can you really help me grasp Sword Intent?”

”Is there any reason for me to deceive you?” Ye Xiu retorted.

Yin Tianxi was taken aback, but on second thought, it made sense. ’Ye Liangchen’ could kill me with ease; there was no reason to lie.

So, he knelt and said, ”Alright, from now on, you are my godfather. Godfather, please accept these three bows from your godson.” With that, he gave Ye Xiu three solid kowtows.

After getting up, he asked, ”May I ask, Godfather, when do you plan to help me grasp Sword Intent?”

”Give me your phone number. I’ll send you something to start with,” Ye Xiu said. Yin Tianxi and Ling Yun quickly exchanged phone numbers with Ye Xiu.

”Ling Yun, remember to go to the school authorities and compensate for the lawn and goalposts,” Ye Xiu reminded him. He then left alone, not taking Kong Ruoruo with him for fear that Yin Tianxi might suspect his identity.

”Don’t worry, Godfather!” Ling Yun said respectfully. Watching Ye Xiu walk away, Yin Tianxi asked, ”Ling Yun, Ye Liangchen—oh no, what is our godfather’s identity?”

Heh, as if I’d dare to tell you, Ling Yun sneered inwardly. Aloud, he said, ”I don’t know either. He must be a hermit master.”

Yin Tianxi nodded in agreement. An existence that surpasses a War God, over eighty years old yet looking like a man in his twenties... He must be a hermit master. A true hermit master who seeks neither fame nor fortune. Otherwise, if he had participated in the War God assessment, I never would have gotten first place!

After leaving Jin Ye City University, Ye Xiu went to Qiancheng Farm. While he cured the Night Banquet Bounty Hunters of their ailments, they, in turn, told him everything they knew about the Fire Seed Company.

During dinner, Gong Jin and Qing Luan arrived one after the other. ”Why are you two here?” Ye Xiu asked, startled. Qin Qing’s heart sank. Gong Jin and Qing Luan arriving together meant that something major had happened—something that required a face-to-face discussion.

”You go first,” Gong Jin said, signaling for Qing Luan to speak.

Qing Luan nodded, her voice grave. ”The 300,000-strong Allied Forces have amassed at the border.”

”So fast? Their marching speed is impressive,” Ye Xiu said with a smile.

”Their target is you!” Qing Luan added weakly.

”Me?” Ye Xiu was taken aback. ”What do you mean?”

Qin Qing immediately grew tense. An allied army of 300,000 targeting Ye Xiu? Even if he was Huang Quan, he couldn’t possibly take on 300,000 enemies alone, could he?

”The Allied Forces are pressuring Xuanse. If you are not handed over, they will invade,” Qing Luan said through gritted teeth. ”Additionally, the eight disciples of the Eight Great National Protector War Gods, who were guarding the Battle Soul Blade, were ambushed an hour ago. They were all captured, and the Battle Soul Blade, which was set in the Boundary Monument, was also stolen.”

After hearing Qing Luan’s report, the warmth vanished from my face. It wasn’t surprising that the 300,000-strong Allied Forces were targeting me; it was clearly the Long Family pulling strings from behind the scenes. Once I killed Ba Dao, they would likely disperse. It wasn’t worth a full-scale response. But for those bastards to dare touch the Battle Soul Blade and even capture the disciples of Qing Luan and the other seven War Gods—that was unforgivable.

”Which countries do the 300,000 Allied Forces come from?” Ye Xiu asked, his expression icy.

”They’re all mercenaries and Martial Artists,” Qing Luan replied. ”I haven’t yet identified which mercenary organizations they belong to.”

”The intelligence system of you Eight Great National Protector War Gods is rather average.” Gong Jin smiled, not in mockery, but in pride of his own network.

”I admit that our nation’s foreign intelligence infiltration is weak,” Qing Luan said with embarrassment, not daring to talk back to Gong Jin.

Gong Jin gave her a friendly smile and said, ”Young Master, I’ve discovered something. In the last two days, five countries suddenly saw a large number of their active-duty soldiers retire. These soldiers immediately formed mercenary groups and joined the Allied Forces. I’ve also uncovered the background of those 10,000 Martial Artists. Here is the list!” As he spoke, he handed Ye Xiu a file.

Qing Luan was secretly amazed. Huang Quan’s intelligence network is incredible! The 300,000-strong Allied Forces were formed less than two days ago, and Ming Feng Tower has already figured out every detail about them.

After reviewing the file, Ye Xiu immediately called Leng Yue. ”Gather the Blood Cloth Guards. We’re going to the border to sharpen our blades!”

After hanging up, he said to Qing Luan, ”Go prepare the plane.” Qing Luan’s scalp tingled. Is Huang Quan really planning to take the Blood Cloth Guards to fight the 300,000-strong Allied Forces?

”Are you insane?” Qin Qing exclaimed in shock. ”There are only thirty-six Blood Cloth Guards! Are you planning to take thirty-six people into a bloodbath against 300,000?”

”I also advise against it,” Qing Luan quickly chimed in. ”There’s a limit to what any person can do. No matter how strong you and the Blood Cloth Guards are, you can’t defeat 300,000 people. You’ll die from sheer exhaustion! Besides, your duel with Ba Dao is the day after tomorrow. Once you kill him, the 300,000-strong Allied Forces will disperse on their own.”

”They are nothing but a disorganized mob, nothing to fear!” Ye Xiu declared arrogantly. ”Since they dared to touch the Battle Soul Blade, they should be prepared to die.”

The Battle Soul Blade is my weapon. If those bastards steal it and I don’t even make a peep, the deterrent power I’ve built up over the last ten years will vanish like smoke.

”There’s no need to stop him. Go arrange the plane,” Gong Jin said with a relaxed expression.

”Oh, alright then!” Qing Luan dared not object further.

Seeing that Ye Xiu was determined to go and could not be stopped, Qin Qing could only say, ”I’ll be waiting at home for you to come back!”

”Mm!” Ye Xiu nodded, went upstairs to retrieve his Huang Quan Suit, and then hurriedly left.

At the border, countless tents were arranged haphazardly, stretching for dozens of miles. As the saying goes, a crowd of over ten thousand can blot out the sun. The visual impact of 300,000 people scattered together was truly staggering; one couldn’t see the end of them at a glance. Even Yin Tianxi, number one on the War God Ranking, would probably feel his knees go weak and lose control of his bowels if faced with the 300,000-strong Allied Forces.
