Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Kill Ye Xiu to Sacrifice the Sword

Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin’s expressions changed slightly.

Shen Songshan tentatively asked, ”What do you want with Ye Xiu?”

Could it be that Aoki was ill and looking for Ye Xiu for treatment?

”To kill him!” Ba Dao declared, emanating a chilling killing intent.

Oh?

Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin’s eyes lit up. They had been wondering how to get Ba Dao to kill Ye Xiu, and now here he was, intending to do just that.

What a fortuitous coincidence!

”As far as I know, the martial artists of Qi Yun Dao will gather at the Heavenly Dragon Sect today to elect the Alliance Hierarch of the Ancient Martial Circle. I imagine Ye Xiu will probably go to join in on the excitement,” Shen Songshan said. He didn’t ask Ba Dao why he wanted to kill Ye Xiu; to him, it wasn’t important.

”Where is the Heavenly Dragon Sect?” Ba Dao asked.

”Let’s have some tea first. I’ll take you there in a little while,” Shen Songshan said with a smile, in an utterly joyous mood. With Ba Dao making a move, Ye Xiu was as good as dead. Once Ba Dao killed Huang Quan as well, the Shen Family would have no more worries.

Shen Qilin asked timidly, ”Elder Aoki, why are you making such a grand challenge to Huang Quan?”

”I am old and in my twilight years,” Ba Dao stated. ”I want to slay Huang Quan with my blade, letting it shine its brightest light. I will let the world know that I, Ba Dao, am a true, unbeaten legend.”

An overwhelming aura of dominance and astonishing killing intent radiated from Ba Dao as he declared ferociously, ”As for why I’m making such a spectacle, it’s because I want to draw all the world’s martial artists to Jin Ye City and annihilate them in one fell swoop. That way, the glorious name of Ba Dao will live on for eternity.”

Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin felt their scalps tingle.

Ba Dao is a complete lunatic, wanting to slaughter every martial artist in the world just for fame.

However, Ba Dao’s words also made Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin’s blood boil. As martial artists, who among them didn’t dream of being as renowned and powerful as Huang Quan and Ba Dao?

”We now interrupt this program for a special news bulletin.”

Just then, the looping news report about Ba Dao’s challenge to Huang Quan was suddenly replaced by a beautiful female anchor.

Shen Songshan, Shen Qilin, and Ba Dao all turned to look at the screen.

The beautiful anchor announced, ”Moments ago, Huang Quan issued the Huang Quan Soul Chasing Order. The battle between Huang Quan and Ba Dao is closed to all spectators. The Blood Cloth Guards will be dispatched to deal with any unauthorized onlookers, and their entire clans will face annihilation. Furthermore, the battle will be broadcast live...”

Hearing this, Ba Dao’s face went black, and he felt the stinging slap of Huang Quan’s retort. He had just declared his intention to lure all the nation’s martial artists to Jin Ye City for a wholesale slaughter, only for Huang Quan to foil his plan the very next moment.

”Damn it!” Ba Dao roared, slamming his hand down and shattering the coffee table. He shot to his feet, his killing intent surging. ”Huang Quan has ruined my plans. He’s courting death!”

Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin exchanged glances, both of them reeling under the oppressive killing intent radiating from Ba Dao.

”I’m going to call the kings of every nation! I’ll inform all the world’s martial artists that I will annihilate the entire clan of anyone who dares not come to Jin Ye City to spectate!” Ba Dao took out his phone, livid and ready to make the calls.

”Aoki, don’t waste your energy,” Shen Songshan said, forcing himself to intervene. ”Huang Quan’s influence is far greater than yours. He has the Blood Cloth Guards, who are feared by the entire world, not to mention the Thirteen Protectors. You are just one man.”

”And they aren’t afraid of me?” Ba Dao demanded angrily.

”You may be strong, but the official families of every country have a file on you, making it easy to take precautions,” Shen Songshan explained. ”The Blood Cloth Guards and the Thirteen Protectors, however, are different. No one has seen their true faces. If they decide to kill someone, it’s impossible to defend against.”

Shen Qilin added, ”It’s said that one of Huang Quan’s Thirteen Protectors is a master hacker who invades the systems of various nations for fun.”

Ba Dao’s expression crumbled. His face was a mask of pure shock and astonishment. He never expected Huang Quan to be so formidable, capable of intimidating the entire world with his influence alone. He himself possessed great personal strength, but his power and influence were nothing compared to Huang Quan’s.

”If I kill a man like that, the world will be even more stunned by my power,” Ba Dao suddenly declared, his fighting spirit surging once more. ”Let’s go. Take me to Green Leaf Island now. I want to kill Ye Xiu and consecrate my blade with his blood!”

Shen Songshan and Shen Qilin glanced at each other. Heh, Ba Dao is certainly good at consoling himself.

「...」

Ye Xiu arrived at Mandarin Duck Mountain on Green Leaf Island.

At the foot of the mountain, a dense crowd of martial artists had gathered. They were from the various Ancient Martial Families and Sects of Qi Yun Dao, along with some Loose Cultivators. The Clan Leaders and Sect heads were all at the summit of Mandarin Duck Mountain; these underlings weren’t qualified to go up.

At that moment, the group was gathered together, fiercely debating Ba Dao’s challenge to Huang Quan.

”Ye Xiu?” When the members of the Xiong Family saw him approaching, their expressions turned ferocious, their eyes filled with hatred.

The other martial artists, however, looked at Ye Xiu with great interest. The story of how he had single-handedly ruined the Shen, Lian, and Xiong Families had already spread throughout the Qi Yun Dao Ancient Martial Circle. However, very few had actually seen him in person.

”Ye Xiu, today is the election for the Alliance Hierarch of the Qi Yun Dao Ancient Martial Circle. What are you doing here?” Xiong Jun demanded coldly, blocking his path.

”You’re from Jin Ye City! You have no right to interfere in the affairs of Qi Yun Dao’s martial artists, so get lost!” roared Xiong Hai, Xiong Ba’s son and Xiong Jun’s father.

”Don’t tell me you’re aiming for the position of Alliance Hierarch of the Qi Yun Dao Ancient Martial Circle! Hah! As if you’re worthy!”

”Why don’t you take a look in the mirror? What gives you the right to compete for the position of Alliance Hierarch?”

”Today, Mandarin Duck Mountain has been claimed by the martial artists of Qi Yun Dao. You’re not welcome here, so get lost!”

The other members of the Xiong Family joined in, shouting angrily at Ye Xiu. Hatred flared in their eyes at the sight of him. If not for the fact they couldn’t defeat him, they would have torn him limb from limb long ago.

”Who is Xiong Jun?” Ye Xiu asked.

”I am. What of it?” Xiong Jun retorted, tilting his head back arrogantly. At 1.9 meters tall, he loomed over Ye Xiu.

”Is the Skull Club yours?” Ye Xiu asked.

”What damn business is it of yours?” Xiong Jun cursed.

Ye Xiu’s hand shot out and clamped around Xiong Jun’s neck. ”Answer my question,” he said coldly, ”or I’ll snap it.”

”I won’t talk. Kill me if you’ve got the guts,” Xiong Jun said, utterly defiant.

”As you wish.”

CRACK!

Ye Xiu snapped Xiong Jun’s neck.

The crowd erupted. Everyone stared at Ye Xiu in utter shock.

My God! He’s no doctor, he’s a murder enthusiast! He kills at the slightest disagreement. So brutal!

”Now you answer my question,” Ye Xiu said, his cold gaze landing on Xiong Hai, Xiong Jun’s father.

His son had been brutally killed before his eyes. Xiong Hai was overwhelmed with grief and fury, but he knew with chilling certainty that if Ye Xiu dared to kill Xiong Jun in public, he wouldn’t hesitate to slaughter every member of the Xiong Family present.

Weighing his options, Xiong Hai finally spoke. ”The Skull Club was indeed Xiong Jun’s, but not his alone.”

”Oh?” Ye Xiu’s eyes narrowed. ”Who are the other shareholders of the Skull Club?”

”The Xing Family of Guangling!” Xiong Hai said.

Ye Xiu scanned the crowd of martial artists. ”Everyone from the Xing Family, step forward!”

Instantly, dozens of people stepped out from the crowd.

The young man in the lead said coldly, ”Ye Xiu, our Xing Family’s investment in the Skull Club is none of your damn business. You should stop meddling in things that don’t concern you. The Xing Family isn’t the Xiong Family. We aren’t afraid of you.”
