Medical and Martial God

Chapter 357: Chapter 357: Kill Him for Me

”Boss Zhou, this is all my fault for my lack of consideration. Please, calm down,” Jin Peng said, quickly rising to his feet and chuckling. ”How could I possibly neglect a distinguished guest like you? Here, I’ll have someone prepare our best private room and host you there separately.”

As he spoke, he glared fiercely at his son, Jin Ming, as if to say, Who told you to invite this thug here?

I didn’t invite him! He just showed up! Jin Ming was so wronged he was on the verge of tears. Zhou Wenlong had come on his own. Not only had he failed to bring a birthday gift, but he also hadn’t even offered a single word of congratulations. To top it off, he had brought a dozen of his lackeys, clearly intending to freeload.

”Now I don’t like the sound of that, Old Master Jin,” Zhou Wenlong said angrily. ”I came to wish you a happy birthday. What do you mean by not letting me eat and drink with everyone else and isolating me in a private room?”

”You’ve misunderstood, Boss Zhou!” Jin Peng felt a headache coming on, internally bemoaning how difficult his eightieth birthday was turning out to be. He quickly explained, ”I was only trying to show you proper respect. Since you wish to remain in the main hall, then by all means, stay. It will be as you say.”

The Jin Family truly couldn’t afford to offend this kind of local riffraff.

”That’s more like it!” Zhou Wenlong was extremely satisfied to see Jin Peng groveling before him in public. He felt that at this moment, he was the true star of the banquet. ”Well, hurry up and serve the food. I can see that everyone’s getting hungry.”

”About that...” Jin Peng began, looking troubled.

”What’s the problem?” Zhou Wenlong’s expression darkened as he barked, ”Does Old Master Jin intend to make me keep waiting?”

SMACK!

Zhou Wenlong’s dozen or so lackeys slapped their tables, stood up, and started walking over.

”What’s your problem, Jin Peng? You’re not taking Brother Long seriously?”

”How dare you make Brother Long wait? Not even the top boss on Qingfeng Road has the right to make Brother Long wait!”

”Brother Long is honoring you by coming here personally to celebrate your birthday. Don’t be so shameless as to reject it.”

”Do as Brother Long says and serve the food now, or we’ll wreck this banquet of yours!”

The dozen men looked fierce and menacing, ready to start a brawl at the slightest provocation. Seeing this, the guests all frowned. If this kept up, tonight’s banquet would probably be ruined.

”Boss Zhou, please let me explain.” Jin Peng knew he couldn’t keep things under wraps any longer. ”Actually, the person we are waiting for is none other than the Medicine King Xuanse, the Divine Doctor Ye Xiu.”

Ye Xiu?

The uninformed guests were stunned. No wonder Jin Peng was willing to risk upsetting everyone just to wait for this final guest. So it was Ye Xiu who was coming! At that thought, all their complaints vanished. The chance to meet Divine Doctor Ye Xiu at Jin Peng’s birthday banquet made the entire trip worthwhile.

”Ye Xiu?” Zhou Wenlong’s embarrassment turned to rage. ”You’re making me wait for a doctor? In your eyes, am I less important than a doctor? You’re looking down on me!”

Ha! You’re just a low-life gangster. You’re not even worthy to drink the water Divine Doctor Ye washes his feet with. The guests scoffed internally, though none dared to say it aloud.

”Brother Long, Jin Peng is disrespecting you! We can’t let this stand.”

”When has Brother Long ever been humiliated like this? Let’s go! Since Jin Peng is being shameless, there’s no need for Brother Long to give him any face.”

”Jin Peng is making a fool of Brother Long in public! Damn it, let’s smash up his party!”

The lackeys were fuming with righteous indignation. Jin Peng, Jin Lian, and the rest of the Jin Family grew anxious. Jin Peng’s eightieth birthday had already been full of twists and turns. First, a flood of wealthy out-of-towners with whom they weren’t particularly close had shown up, hoping to get an introduction to Ye Xiu through their family. Then, the Fei Family had caused a scene. Now, Zhou Wenlong was stirring up trouble.

If the birthday banquet gets wrecked, the Jin Family will lose all its prestige!

”Smash it all!” Zhou Wenlong commanded with a grand wave of his hand. ”Today, I’ll use the Jin Family to make a point and let everyone on Qingfeng Road know the consequences of looking down on me, Zhou Wenlong!”

He was about to flip a table when a shoe suddenly flew through the air and slapped him across the side of his face.

WHAP!

”Who the hell ambushed me?” Zhou Wenlong roared, his face stinging.

The scene stunned everyone into a momentary silence. Then, they all began scanning the room, searching for Zhou Wenlong’s attacker.

”Huh? Where did my shoe go?”

Just then, a young man hopping on one foot entered their line of sight.

Seeing this person, Jin Lian couldn’t help but burst out laughing. The Jin family members and the guests who recognized Ye Xiu also started to laugh. Those who had never seen Ye Xiu before, however, were shocked, wondering if this kid had a death wish. How dare he sneak-attack Zhou Wenlong?

”Is this your shoe?” Zhou Wenlong asked, picking it up and glaring coldly at Ye Xiu.

”Oh, there it is,” Ye Xiu said as he hopped over apologetically. ”I’m so sorry. My shoe has developed a mind of its own lately. It’s quite mischievous and always running off.”

”Hahahaha...”

Those in the crowd who knew Ye Xiu roared with laughter. They truly hadn’t expected the dignified Medicine King Xuanse to have such a playful side.

”You’re fucking looking for death!” Zhou Wenlong was furious. He was already seething from Jin Peng’s disrespect, and now he had been hit with a shoe, only to be laughed at by the entire room. He was so enraged he nearly passed out. ”Get him for me!”

His dozen lackeys swarmed forward.

”You dare ambush Brother Long? I’ll fucking kill you!”

”You’ve pissed off the King of Hell himself today!”

”Break his shoeless leg!”

”Chop off the hand he used to throw that shoe!”

The thugs charged with vicious intent, but in the next moment, disaster struck them all. Ye Xiu sent them sprawling with a single backhanded slap for each of them.

Zhou Wenlong’s face drained of color. His towering rage instantly morphed into shock and apprehension, though not quite fear. The guests who didn’t know Ye Xiu were also astonished. They never expected the man who dared to ambush Zhou Wenlong to be such a highly skilled martial artist.

”Kid, I’m Zhou Wenlong. On Qingfeng Road’s turf, no one dares to provoke me. You hit my men—do you have a death wish?” Zhou Wenlong announced his name, his voice a cold threat.

”Put my shoe on for me, then kowtow ten times to Old Master Jin to wish him a happy birthday. Do that, and you can walk out of here in one piece,” Ye Xiu stated coldly.

”Ha! Kid, I thought I was arrogant, but you’re even crazier than me. I fucking think you’re looking for—”

SLAP!

Ye Xiu’s slap cut off Zhou Wenlong’s words. The force of the blow was so great that it sent Zhou Wenlong’s stout body sprawling to the ground.

”Do as I say,” Ye Xiu said, extending his foot toward Zhou Wenlong.

”You’re fucking courting death...” Having never suffered such humiliation, Zhou Wenlong became enraged and tried to scramble to his feet to fight Ye Xiu.

CRACK!

Ye Xiu stomped on Zhou Wenlong’s ankle. With a sharp crack, the bone shattered.

”AAAGH...” Zhou Wenlong let out a scream like a stuck pig.

Everyone present gasped.

Ye Xiu is too ruthless! Too cruel!

”I’ll say this one last time. Do as I say,” Ye Xiu said impatiently.

”In your dreams! You just wait! If I don’t kill you, my name isn’t Zhou—” Zhou Wenlong remained defiant, roaring through the intense pain.

CRACK!

His other ankle shattered.

”AAAGH...” Zhou Wenlong screamed again.

”I gave you a chance. You didn’t take it.”

Ye Xiu raised his foot, aiming for Zhou Wenlong’s arm.
