On the barren mountain, Lu Ye placated Yi Yi to help calm her down. Upon hearing Lu Ye’s explanation, she finally understood their current situation. “So, Soaring Dragon Boundary was destroyed long ago, and everything we’ve experienced is just an illusion. Is that right?”

“Well, you’re not wrong to say it’s an illusion, but it’s more like the reenactment of history.”

“Was Liuli really the manifestation of the World’s Will?”

“In the history of this world, Ye Liuli did exist, but the Ye Liuli we’ve come across is different from the real one. The one we bumped into bore the last bit of the World’s Source. She was also the World’s Will’s sense of obsession that never dissipated.”

Yi Yi went on to ask many questions, and Lu Ye answered them patiently.

After that, Yi Yi sported a conflicted expression. “That’s probably the best outcome. At the very least, the World’s Will saw everything you’d done. Liuli… must be pleased in the last moments of her life, That was why she gave you her power.”

Yi Yi had been downcast since Ye Liuli dissipated into this world. It wasn’t until this moment that the knot in her heart was untied.

Lu Ye couldn’t help but recall the last words Ye Liuli said to him on Sungazing Peak.

She said she had been waiting for a long time, and she couldn’t hold out any longer. It seemed that since the demise of Soaring Dragon Boundary, the World’s Will had been holding on to witness the other possibility that might not even come. Fortunately, her wish was fulfilled in the end.

Lu Ye pushed these thoughts to the back of his mind and looked around. His trip to Soaring Dragon Boundary had concluded, but he had no idea how he could leave.

The Divine Healer surely knew how to leave. It could even be said that it wouldn’t take her much effort to bring him out of this broken world, but she didn’t do that. Instead, she had deliberately left him here.

It seemed that the way to leave was hidden in this world. To be precise, it was hidden in the World’s Source given to him by Ye Liuli. He reckoned that he had to find out about it himself.

The environment on the peak was terrible as the sand swirled with the wind. Lu Ye took Yi Yi and Amber to walk down the mountain. When they were at the bottom, they found a suitable location and made a cave to shelter themselves from the sand and wind. He then sat down cross-legged and examined himself.

After Ye Liuli transferred the last bit of World’s Source to him, he had been busy executing the plan of mending the sky. Although he had tried to comprehend the abstrusity from time to time, he hadn’t had time to study it deeply.

Now, he no longer had to worry about Soaring Dragon Boundary, so he could comprehend the secrets behind the arcane power with peace of mind. As time passed, he remained unmoving.

Although it had been quite a while since he acquired the World’s Source, he still hadn’t been able to figure out what kind of power it was. It couldn’t help increase his power or strengthen his soul. It didn’t even teach him any moves that he could use to protect himself or kill the enemies.

However, he could feel that the power lay within him. It was everywhere, but he couldn’t activate it, nor could he touch or see it. Moreover, through this Source, he was closely knitted with this broken Soaring Dragon Boundary.

The Divine Healer said the world belonged to him. Although that sounded scary, she wasn’t wrong. Since he had the Source now, he was the owner of this world.

As he understood the Source better, he even had a feeling that he could do anything in this world with only a flash of thought. Certainly, the prerequisite was that the last bit of energy left in this world could help realise his ideas. Therefore, despite that realisation, he didn’t try to do anything on a whim. That was because this world was in a dilapidated state. If he still squeezed its power, the world would come apart.

Despite being dilapidated, it was a world, after all. Perhaps he would find a way to repair it in the future. If the world fell apart, he would blame himself for betraying Ye Liuli’s trust. He went on to comprehend the power.

Suddenly, in his heart, he saw a light so weak it might go out at any moment. That was the last bit of the World’s Source. As soon as Lu Ye saw the light, he figured out its nature. That was the Source Ye Liuli had given to him.

Although he knew that the Source wouldn’t be in a good state, considering the current situation of this world, he was still astonished when he saw the Source.

Its light flickered like the light emitting from a firefly, and it was so weak that it was almost imperceptible.

Perhaps the World’s Source wasn’t in such a terrible state back then. However, after years of waiting, coupled with the fact that the world itself was deteriorating, the Source fell into a horrible state.

The strength of the Source would invariably affect the state of the world. A flourishing world showed that the Source was powerful, and vice versa. Considering the current situation of Soaring Dragon Boundary, it was fortunate that the Source was still around. One couldn’t ask for more.

Furthermore, the Source relied on the Heavens of Jiu Zhou to survive. Otherwise, it would’ve been gone for good long ago.

Looking at the Source now, Lu Ye understood it wasn’t until this moment that he could be considered the owner of this world.

If one compared Soaring Dragon Boundary to a house, this Source was the key to the door. Although Lu Ye already had the key, he hadn’t been able to fish it out. Now that he could produce it, he naturally could enter or leave this world at will. It also meant that he could now leave this world at any moment.

He arched his brow, for it wasn’t as difficult as he had imagined. It was no wonder the Divine Healer ignored him when she left. It seemed that she was certain Lu Ye could find out the secrets.

Suddenly, something dawned on him. If he could enter or leave Soaring Dragon Boundary at will, it meant that whenever he fell into danger in the future, he would have a place to go to for sanctuary. In that case, he no longer had to worry about anyone hunting him down.

When he was in danger, he could hide inside Soaring Dragon Boundary and only leave when he was safe. There was nothing those of Thousand Demon Ridge could do to him.

However, he had to be wary of people waiting for him outside. It was a problem as to how he could find out if there was no more danger. He might come across powerful enemies when he left the Boundary. When that happened, he would be in hot water.

While he was in his thoughts, he realised that his idea might not be feasible. That was because his plan was too idealistic. There were certainly many things he wasn’t aware of.

Although he had found a way to leave this world, he didn’t immediately do it, for he hadn’t fully recovered.

When going from one place to another, he had to make sure he was in tip-top condition. That was a habit he had kept for a long time.

He had entered Soaring Dragon Boundary from a forbidden area outside Hundred Wards Tower. If his speculation was right, he would also return to that place when he left his world.

Prior to coming to his world, a lot of cultivators of Thousand Demon Ridge had been hunting him down.

A long time had passed, and he had no idea what was going on in the forbidden area. As such, he had to keep his guard up. When he was mending the sky, he had borne immense pressure, which resulted in him exerting himself and suffering some injuries. He still hadn’t fully recovered yet.

He wouldn’t have to worry if the Dragon Throne was still in a good state. With the treasure in possession, no enemies could harm him regardless of how many people there were. Nonetheless, the Dragon Throne was badly damaged in the real history of the Soaring Dragon Boundary. Before it was repaired, it couldn’t be used to deal with his enemies.

While recuperating, he took a look at the Source of Soaring Dragon Boundary. Even though the Source was weak, its use wouldn’t be limited to letting him enter or leave the world only. He wanted to find out more about its secrets.

He let his soul sink into it, after which he felt how insignificant he was.

Despite being frail, the Source was the heritage of this world, after all. Although its appearance didn’t look mighty at all, it was still unimaginably immense to a Cloud River Realm Master like Lu Ye.

It was like when a newborn goshawk recklessly flew into the expansive universe, and he was that reckless goshawk.

What came into his sight were countless twinkling Stars. He reckoned there were probably billions of them. Some of the Stars were dim while some of them were glowing. The only common thing was that they were all flickering, which dazzled his eyes.

When all of these lights gathered, they made up the Source that looked like the light of a firefly.

He didn’t expect there was such an expansive world in the Source. Moreover, when he looked at the innumerable Starlights, he couldn’t help but fall deep in thought. “What are these?”

As the owner of Soaring Dragon Boundary, he was able to look into the Source, but he couldn’t figure out what those Starlights were.

He tried to sense them, but he didn’t feel anything abstruse. Then, he controlled his soul to approach the Starlight nearest to him. He chose this particular Starlight because it was the brightest one in that area.

There was no obstruction. He let his soul stream into the Starlight. The next moment, the world around him spun, and his vision blurred. Soon, he heard the cries of a baby. A woman was moaning weakly, and someone ran out of the room in ecstasy.

“Madam has given birth to the child, Sir!”

“Is it a boy or a girl?”

“Congratulations, Sir! It’s a big boy.”

“Hahaha! I finally have a child of my own. It seems that the Heavens have mercy on our family, after all.”

Lu Ye was puzzled by the noise around him. [Where am I? What happened?]

He had only wanted to take a look at the Starlight in the Source, so how did he end up in such a chaotic state?

The cries of the baby continued, and it was at that moment that Lu Ye realised he had turned into a baby! To be precise, his soul had entered a baby. He could feel how frail and soft this newborn baby was, but he couldn’t control its body.

He was like a spectator in this world, standing behind the child as he felt and saw everything the baby could perceive, but he couldn’t control the baby. [What’s going on?]
