Xue Zhou was located in the northernmost part of Soaring Dragon Boundary, and the weather was chilly all year round. Not only was the population sparse, but the environment was also more hostile than in other parts of the world.

The sky in Xue Zhou was almost always covered with dark clouds. It was rare to see a clear sky.

However, on this day, as the large Spirit Ships came over, the dark clouds started dissipating. The ships arrived as the Sunlight shone on the entire area.

It was as though all the cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary were blessed by the world’s will.

Several figures stood on the deck of the ship in front. They were Huang Liang, Yuan Changcun, Guang Jing, and the others. As they looked at the Heavenly Gully, they sported solemn expressions.

The previous battle made them realise that the Blood Race members were powerful and cunning. Almost all the cultivators from Soaring Dragon Boundary had arrived in Xue Zhou. If they couldn’t defeat the enemies this time, there wouldn’t be a future for this world.

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to gather more information about the Blood Race first, but they didn’t have time to do so.

From what they had gathered, if they wanted to get rid of the invaders, they had to do it as quickly as possible. There was no room for procrastination. If they put it off any longer, the situation would worsen.

Therefore, despite having little time to get prepared, they had no choice but to launch a war in a hurry.

As the three of them observed the Heavenly Gully, they also communicated with each other. The cultivators from the three hegemons around them passed on their orders.

Lu Ye stood somewhere near them.

Half a day ago, with Huang Liang and the others being the leaders, they set off from the Valley of Medicine and joined the helpers before inching towards the Heavenly Gully.

Naturally, Lu Ye had tagged along.

First of all, he had realised the ultimate goal of his trip to Soaring Dragon Boundary, so he couldn’t just stay in the Valley of Medicine, hoping to stay safe. Secondly, he was eager to kill more Blood Race members to get battle points.

Presently, he was only a Sixth-Order Cloud River Realm Master. If he wanted to make it to the Seventh Order, the thirty thousand battle points he had weren’t enough.

He needed more.

The war would determine the survival or death of this world. If he could save this world, he would get a lot of battle points. Perhaps after this incident, he would have enough capital to break through to the Seventh Order or even the Eighth Order.

Huang Liang and the others were done with the discussion. As they looked ahead, they could see that the Heavenly Gully was filled with blood light. Despite the long distance between the two parties, they could tell that the Blood Race members were eager to fight.

Other than the cultivators who had fled to the Valley of Medicine previously, the others had never come into contact with the Blood Race before. Nevertheless, they had learned a lot about the Blood Race in the past few days, so they were aware that their Secret Techniques were strange. As such, many people appeared nervous.

In the ships, the Masters comforted their disciples and ignited their fighting spirit. All of them started chanting to boost their morale.

“Little friend, it’ll be chaotic when the war breaks out, so you have to be careful,” Huang Liang said to Lu Ye.

He was more concerned about Lu Ye’s safety than anyone else because he believed the latter to be the saviour.

Initially, he didn’t want to take Lu Ye to this kind of dangerous place. However, after giving it some thought, he realised that if Lu Ye was indeed the saviour, he would be dragged into the storm regardless of where he was.

Rather than letting Lu Ye stay in the Valley of Medicine, Huang Liang decided to take the young man with him. Even if they came across any danger, he could take care of him.

“I’ll keep that in mind, Senior.” Lu Ye nodded.

After a moment of silence, Huang Liang continued, “Don’t use the Dragon Throne unless you have no other choice.”

If Lu Ye was indeed the saviour, the Dragon Throne must be a way to save Soaring Dragon Boundary in the face of calamity. Nevertheless, it was dangerous to activate the Dragon Throne.

Huang Liang was aware of what had happened to Zhuang Bufan. Now, Lu Ye was only a Sixth-Order Master. If he used the Dragon Throne, he might lose his life instantly.

Lu Ye dipped his head.

In his mind, he recalled what had happened in the past.

Zhuang Bufan passed the Dragon Throne to him before his death. In the past few days, Lu Ye had been studying the divine item.

He had a feeling that the Dragon Throne was naturally close to him.

He wasn’t sure if Zhuang Bufan felt the same when coming into contact with the Dragon Throne. It wasn’t like he could ask him. Nevertheless, he believed that the latter never had this feeling.

The Divine Healer had said that Zhuang Bufan didn’t acquire the Dragon Throne’s acknowledgement, so he couldn’t control it. He suffered immense damage by forcibly using it.

What if Lu Ye could gain the Dragon Throne’s acknowledgement? Did that mean he could control it?

He didn’t dare to give it a try. If things went contrary to his wishes, he would fall into a terrible situation.

The reason Zhuang Bufan became on his last legs was that he activated the Dragon Throne’s power after obtaining it to find out what it was. At that time, he didn’t use it to fight.

In the past few days, Lu Ye would try to refine the Dragon Throne whenever he had time, and quite some progress had been made. The divine item didn’t repel his Spiritual Power. Instead, it seemed eager to accept his power.

Presently, Lu Ye had fully refined the Dragon Throne, so he could activate its power at any moment.

Undoubtedly, this was good news to him. Regardless of how terrible the situation was, he had a trump card he could use.

The fleet of ships continued to sail forward and soon moved across dozens of kilometres.

They didn’t do any mobilisation before the war because they had said everything before setting off. Faced with invaders like the Blood Race, all these cultivators had to do was kill.

By killing all the Blood Race members, they could solve the crisis in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

As the distance shortened, the cultivators activated their powers and got ready to fight.

Fifteen kilometres, nine kilometres, three kilometres…

Given the distance, the cultivators could clearly see the unique appearances of Blood Race members.

Following a deafening buzzing sound, Lu Ye’s ship shook all of a sudden. Following that, a ray of light the size of a bucket shot forward like a bolt of lightning.

It was the power of the ward in the Spirit Ship.

In Jiu Zhou, they had Flying Dragon Boats that could be used to attack cities. Certainly, there were similar vessels in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

Nevertheless, due to the limit of cultivation in this world, the power of these Spirit Ships was much weaker than that of Flying Dragon Boats, and it was extremely difficult to build them.

There were only a total of ten warships of this kind in the entire Soaring Dragon Boundary, and they were all controlled by the three major Sects.

They lost a ship in the previous battle several days ago, so they only had nine now.

They had driven all nine warships to this place, and the vessels were lined up in a row. When the first buzzing sound was heard, the sounds from the remaining eight ships also went off.

At the same time, nine rays of light shot forward.

These powerful rays of light, which could easily destroy Cloud River Realm Masters, moved across three kilometres in the blink of an eye and charged towards the altar.

Although it was important to kill the Blood Race members, it was even more vital to destroy the altar.

Only by demolishing the altar could they stop Blood Boundary from getting attached to this world. At the same time, they could render the Blood Race members helpless.

If they could achieve that, they could certainly win the war. That was the plan that Huang Liang and the others discussed earlier.

All of them were anxious as they looked at what was going on before their eyes.

The nine light columns destroyed everything along the way and formed nine vacuum areas in the Void. Wherever they went, they left behind visible marks.

The Blood Race members, who had formed a defence line, were impacted by the light columns. Before they could even react, they had turned into blood mists.

Given the mighty attack, regardless of what the altar was made of, it would be destroyed once it was struck.

However, right before the light columns came into contact with the altar, a thick blood light screen appeared all of a sudden and covered the entire altar.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

When the loud noise was heard, the light columns struck the blood light screen and formed ripples as they spread.

Seeing that, Huang Liang and the others gritted their teeth.

Although they had already expected it, they were still unresigned that the Blood Race members had built a Defensive Ward around the altar.

“What a joke.”

The Blood Lord watched everything from the base camp with a calm expression.

The Blood Race members had invaded many worlds, so they knew full well how to deal with all sorts of situations. They had already expected all kinds of reactions the cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary might make.

The altar was important, so it was only natural that it was protected by a Defensive Ward.

Moreover, the wards they built couldn’t be destroyed by the cultivators in this world.

In other words, the Blood Race members were bound to win, not the cultivators in this world.

“Do it again!” Huang Liang ordered.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

Another round of attacks started as nine light columns the size of a bucket shot towards the altar like bolts of lightning. However, other than forming some ripples on the blood light screen, they couldn’t deal any damage.

The Defensive Ward’s power was beyond what the cultivators in this world could deal with.

“Again!” Huang Liang bellowed.

He didn’t believe the Defensive Ward would remain intact forever.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!*

When the light columns dissipated and the Spiritual Powers subsided, the sight before their eyes made them fall into a despairing state.

“Damn it!” Huang Liang was so furious that even his beard fluttered. Before he could give another order, Yuan Changcun stopped him. “There’s no point doing it again.”

They had launched three rounds of attacks in a short time, and the wards in the ships could no longer bear the pressure. If they did it one more time, there was no guarantee they could shatter the other party’s Defensive Ward, but their ships would certainly come apart.

Guang Jing let out a sigh. If they knew this would be the outcome, they would’ve attacked the Blood Race members first. At the very least, they could inflict some damage on them by doing so.

Anyway, these attacks required a long time of preparation and weren’t dexterous enough. Therefore, they were mostly used to attack cities. If the attacks were used to deal with individuals, the latter would’ve run away upon sensing danger before the preparation was done.

Therefore, even if they had done so, the Blood Race members wouldn’t have been affected.

Since the Spirit Ships were useless, they had no choice but to clash with the Blood Race members.

Many cultivators were bound to lose their lives in the war.

With sorrow rising with him, Huang Liang raised his hand. As everyone watched him, he brought down his hand and ordered, “Kill them all!”

The next moment, the cultivators from the three hegemons leapt from the ships and charged towards the defence line, followed by the cultivators from other great forces in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

The war broke out!
