While controlling the Grand Ward to help the cultivators from the allied forces defeat the enemies, Lu Ye was also observing the Blood Race members.

Just like the cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary, it was his first time coming into contact with such a unique Race, so he had to take the opportunity to observe them. Anyway, they were the invaders, so there were bound to be conflicts in the future. As such, he had to find out more about them to defeat them.

Blood Race members were generally taller than Humans. Their most conspicuous features were their blood-coloured skin and pointed ears.

Their Blood Qi was also highly corrosive. It wasn’t a result of cultivating any technique because every Blood Race member shared the same characteristic.

It was probably an ability they were born with.

There was no doubt this kind of ability was hard for cultivators to deal with.

Lu Ye had seen how the Spiritual Power Shields of some cultivators were corroded, and they were subsequently killed. There were also cultivators whose Spirit Artifacts had lost their spiritualities due to the corrosion, thus undermining their abilities to fight.

The insectoids didn’t have any sentience, so they would only bring destruction and slaughter with them.

In comparison, the innate ability of the Blood Race seemed to specifically target cultivators.

Moreover, these Blood Race members were well-versed in some Blood Secret Techniques, which were so strange that it was almost useless for cultivators to be vigilant.

Undoubtedly, the Blood Race members were powerful, but they had some obvious weaknesses.

The chanting of Vajra Temple’s monks could greatly distract them. Therefore, many of the Blood Race members were at a disadvantage when dealing with the monks.

Also, lightning seemed to be highly damaging to them.

The many Lightning Invocation Wards that Lu Ye had built in the valley proved to be very useful. A lot of Spell Cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary had cultivated Lightning Technique. When these spells were used, the Blood Race members would be injured badly.

Fire Technique came in second place. Although it wasn’t as suppressive as Lightning Technique, it was damaging to the Blood Race as well.

There was no doubt such information was valuable. It would be of great help if they went against the Blood Race in the future.

With that said, Lu Ye wasn’t most concerned about this issue. There were more than ten Blood Race members who seemed to be particularly powerful.

The powers they displayed were indeed at the peak of the Cloud River Realm, but the heritages they possessed were beyond that Realm.

Therefore, even though Lu Ye had been helping them in secret, the cultivators who had to deal with those particularly strong Blood Race members would still end up in a horrible state.

Left with no choice, Lu Ye activated the Grand Ward’s power and trapped them, making sure they couldn’t come into contact with the cultivators from the allied forces.

There was something off about these particularly mighty Blood Race members.

This kind of feeling made Lu Ye recall his Eldest Senior Sister, Mo Yuan, who was able to kill her enemies with ease on the Goldentip.

At that time, Mo Yuan barged into the Spirit Creek Battlefield as a Peak Ninth-Order Real Lake Realm Master. Although she could only use the power of Peak Cloud River Realm following the Heavens’ rebalancing, she had the heritage of Real Lake Realm, after all. As such, no one was a match for her.

At the thought of this, Lu Ye finally realised what was going on.

The Blood Race members he had been paying attention to weren’t Cloud River Realm Masters. They were probably in the Real Lake Realm.

Soaring Dragon Boundary was no longer able to accommodate cultivators above the Cloud River Realm. Therefore, after they barged into this world, they could only use the power of the Peak Cloud River Realm.

In other words, this world had suppressed their true powers.

Otherwise, the cultivators of the allied forces would’ve been destroyed long ago.

This was good news as well as bad news.

Even though these invaders could only activate the powers of the Peak Cloud River Realm, their heritages allowed them to easily destroy the average Cloud River Realm Master.

Since these Blood Race members were already so powerful, what about the Blood Lord?

All the signs showed that the Blood Lord was the leader of these invaders. There was no doubt that he was the strongest one.

“Huh?” Just as Lu Ye was deep in thought, the particularly strong Blood Race members started doing something unusual.

It wasn’t certain what technique they had used, but they exploded at the same time and turned into streams of blood.

Following that, the more than ten streams of blood approached each other as though they had received some instructions.

Lu Ye instantly realised that these powerful Blood Race members must have sensed danger, so they activated a mighty Secret Technique to get out of the woods.

Certainly, he wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen. He immediately activated the power of the Grand Ward to separate these streams of blood. At the same time, he activated the Killing Wards.

Explosions were heard as the fog rolled violently.

However, regardless of what Lu Ye did, he was unable to stop these streams of blood from coming together. They seemed able to detect each other’s locations despite the fog.

Lu Ye wondered what kind of Secret Technique that was.

Soon enough, these streams of blood gathered in the same place and turned into a hideous Blood Dragon.

The Blood Dragon zigzagged across the Grand Ward and destroyed everything along the way. Even though Lu Ye had activated a lot of Killing Wards, he still couldn’t stop it.

Wherever the Blood Dragon went, the plants withered and the vitality dissipated. When the cultivators were accidentally struck, they went to Hell before they could even grunt in pain.

Lu Ye was glad that only the strongest Blood Race members could use this kind of Secret Technique. The others didn’t seem capable of doing that.

However, the Blood Dragon was ferocious. Whenever a Blood Race member was saved, he would integrate into the Blood Dragon. As more and more of them became part of the Blood Dragon, it grew larger in size.

Lu Ye sported a solemn expression.

He didn’t expect the Blood Race members to deal with the Grand Ward in such a way. He initially thought that he could destroy all of them who had the guts to enter the valley.

Now, as he looked at the colossal Blood Dragon in the valley, he knew that he couldn’t stop these people with his current power.

Regardless of what Secret Technique that was, it must be damaging to the Blood Race members. Otherwise, they would’ve used it long ago.

After weighing the pros and cons, Lu Ye sighed helplessly and waved his hand, after which the fog started fluctuating.

The fog in front of the Blood Dragon parted and revealed a passageway that led to the exit.

Although Lu Ye could forcibly make the Blood Dragon stay, many more cultivators would be injured or killed because of that. The other party appeared determined to destroy everything. If Lu Ye wanted to save these cultivators, he had to release the Blood Dragon.

The Blood Dragon must have realised Lu Ye’s intention, so the moment the passageway appeared, it charged towards the exit without hesitation. It saved many Blood Race members along the way.

It wasn’t until it left the Valley of Medicine that it let out a growl of fury and resentment before zigzagging away.

After the hideous Blood Dragon moved across hundreds of kilometres, it broke apart as the streams of blood squirmed and revealed their original figures.

However, not all the Blood Race members who had integrated into the Blood Dragon could escape alive. Some of them had turned into blood and could never recover.

Even those who had returned to their original state appeared frail. Their blood-coloured skin seemed to have turned dull.

Just as Lu Ye had expected, the Secret Technique that was exclusive to the Blood Race was mighty, but its backlash was also severe. They wouldn’t use this Secret Technique unless it was absolutely necessary to do so.

Over a thousand Blood Race members had left the valley, but only seven hundred were still alive.

An old-looking Blood Race member in front of everyone turned to look in the valley’s direction, still reeling from the shock. “I didn’t expect to see such a powerful ward in this world.”

Another Blood Race member, who appeared to be a woman, covered her chest and said, “There were Divine Ocean Realm Masters in this world back then, after all. Although a lot of the world’s capacity is gone following eight hundred years of suction, there are records on the secrets of higher Realms.”

The old Blood Race member shook his head. “Even so, such a Grand Ward shouldn’t have existed. It isn’t a ward a Cloud River Realm Master can build.”

“Anyway, let’s go back and report to the Blood Lord about what has happened. I hope he won’t be too furious.”

At the mention of the Blood Lord, all of them appeared terrified. It was apparent that the Blood Lord was a horrifying being in their eyes.

After the strongest Blood Race members left the Valley of Medicine, Lu Ye felt less pressure. As such, he could focus on controlling the Grand Ward.

With his assistance, the cultivators from the allied forces became even more fearless. Many Blood Race members were killed as their blood formed into a river.

It wasn’t until half a day later that the fog around the valley dissipated. All the surviving cultivators looked around and realised that the entire valley had been dyed red. Corpses of Humans or the Blood Race were lying on the floor. There were much fewer surviving cultivators than when they had entered the valley.

Fortunately, those who were still alive were all Human cultivators.

They had won the war!

They were initially doomed, but after they entered the valley, the situation took a drastic turn. Certainly, they were aware that the reason they could survive and even kill the enemies was thanks to the person who had built the Grand Ward.

All of them turned to look at the centre of the valley where Lu Ye was several metres above the ground. With a pale face, he slowly landed on the floor.

Huang Liang rushed over and asked caringly, “Are you alright, little friend?”

After the war, he was more certain than ever that Lu Ye was the saviour who was the new bearer of the world’s luck. Therefore, when the war ended, he quickly went looking for Lu Ye as he was worried that something might’ve happened to the latter.

Lu Ye shook his head. “I’m just exhausted.”

“Get some rest, little friend. I’ll handle the rest.”

Lu Ye nodded and went on to say, “I’ve captured some Blood Race members. They’re detained in a ward. Please ask some people to keep an eye on them and make sure they can’t run away.”

Then, he raised his hand and revealed a Concealment Ward where seven to eight Blood Race members were trapped. However, they were all horribly injured as they appeared listless. Covered in the ward, they were unable to flee.

Since they wanted to find out more about the Blood Race, they had to glean the information from the Blood Race members. In the last stage of the war, Lu Ye had time to capture some of the opponents.

As for how much information he could pry from these Blood Race members, it depended on his capabilities. At the very least, he had to find out what the Heavenly Gully was all about and the heritages of the Blood Race so that he could come up with a way to deal with them.
