“Brother Ye!” Zhuang Bufan suddenly shouted while moving forward. “This is the last thing I can do for you, so you have to watch carefully!”

The next moment, something appeared in his hand.

The thing looked like a ball the size of a baby’s skull as he grabbed it in his hand.

Although the ball looked ordinary, an anomaly took place the next moment. The ball suddenly disintegrated and turned into countless pieces, which engulfed Zhuang Bufan as though they had a spirituality of their own.

Following some explosive sounds, the broken pieces covered Zhuang Bufan in the blink of an eye. The man with the average height went through a drastic transformation.

Presently, a red figure stood in the spot where Zhuang Bufan was previously located. The figure was tall and muscular. He looked like a statue that a skilled sculptor had spent years making.

The space around the red figure was slightly contorted as though it was bearing some immense pressure. Streams of air were seen drifting around the red figure and turning into all sorts of illusions.

The anomaly was caused when a person’s power reached the maximum limit.

Although the red figure was facing away from Lu Ye and the others, they still felt tremendous pressure.

On the other hand, the cultivators from Heavenly Gully Cult, who were directly facing the red figure, were horrified. They felt as if an invisible had grabbed their hearts, making them unable to breathe for a moment.

Both sides were equally shocked by the anomaly.

“Is that…” As Huang Liang looked at the red tall figure, he recalled something.

Just then, the Divine Healer let out a sigh. “It’s indeed the Dragon Throne!”

“Dragon Throne!” Huang Liang gasped and came to his senses. “That’s right! It’s the Dragon Throne!”

Lu Ye frowned. Judging from their conversation, he realised that the Dragon Throne was what transformed Zhuang Bufan into such a red figure.

This kind of strange item had another name in Jiu Zhou, which was an Armour Golem.

The Golem Masters belonged to a small faction in Jiu Zhou. Since Lu Ye started cultivating, he had only come across a small number of Golem Masters.

Moreover, the Golem Masters he met weren’t powerful. They mostly made some mechanical items such as mechanical spiders and snakes. Those things were not useful when dealing with enemies, but they were practical when used to explore dangerous areas.

If the biggest secret of the Beastmasters was Beast Form Secret Technique, then it was Armour Golems for the Golem Masters.

Armour Golems were divided into two types, which were half-body armour and full-body armour. A half-body armour couldn’t cover a person’s entire figure, but it could increase a cultivator’s power to a certain extent. It was said that a Divine Ocean Realm Master from Thousand Gear Pavilion had half-body armour. He wasn’t particularly outstanding among the Divine Ocean Realm Masters, but with the half-body armour’s help, he wouldn’t be at a disadvantage when dealing with someone who was several Minor Realms ahead of him.

Unfortunately, Golem Masters were too focused on external powers when cultivating, and they ignored the development of their own powers. Therefore, few people were willing to become Golem Masters these days.

There were only a small number of people in the Thousand Gear Pavilion. Even though they had a Divine Ocean Realm Master, it was considered a Tier-Seven or Tier-Eight Sect according to the Heavens’ evaluation.

Their situation was similar to that of the Crimson Blood Sect.

As for full-body armour, such a thing didn’t exist in Jiu Zhou. That was because no Golem Master in Jiu Zhou was capable of crafting full-body armour.

In the past, Lu Ye had tried to learn more about the Golem Masters because he was interested in the faction. He was especially interested in the legendary Armour Golems.

Since he was a Glyphweaver, it would be easier for him to learn the Way of Golem Making because some special glyphs were required when making Golems.

However, after he learned more about it, he gave up on the idea of becoming a Golem Master. First of all, he didn’t have so much energy to learn another Way. Secondly, the real Armour Golems were different from what he had imagined.

He had never expected to see such a well-made Armour Golem in Soaring Dragon Boundary. What was more, it was full-body armour, which perfectly matched what he had imagined it to be.

Zhuang Bufan’s entire figure was covered in the Armour Golem, and every part of it was smooth. On both of the elbows, there were sharp barbs that radiated a cold glint.

What was icier than the barbs was the scarlet gaze behind the Armour Golem.

Like a beast that had finally gotten rid of the cage after countless years of confinement, the person seemed eager to swallow anyone. The violent aura billowed from the Armour Golem along with the streams of air.

“What on Earth is that!?” Yun Haitian exclaimed. Despite being powerful, he still felt a sense of horror sweeping over him when met with the red gaze. Death Qi seemed to rise within him and engulf his entire figure, causing him to feel cold all over his body.

Given enough time, he would’ve recalled an ancient legend that had been circulating around Soaring Dragon Boundary for a long time. However, since he was flabbergasted, he couldn’t recall anything.

Even Huang Liang, who was an experienced person, only realised what the thing was upon the Divine Healer’s reminder, let alone Yun Haitian.

He was the Sixth Elder from Heavenly Gully Cult, after all. The moment he realised something was off, he formed a layer of blood mist around him. His burly figure seemed to have shrunk as he quickly retreated while being covered in the blood mist.

He instantly realised that he couldn’t defeat the other party.

Although he didn’t recall the legend, he had made the right decision. In such a situation, he had to run as far away as possible.

“Go to Hell!” A suppressed growl was heard just then.

That voice sounded like a Dragon’s cry or a beast’s growl. The aura of endless wrath reverberated across the place.

The moment the voice sounded, the red figure turned into a ray of scarlet light and crashed into the cultivators from the Cult.

No one could clearly see how he moved. His movements were so rapid that not even a bit of noise was heard. Blood mists expanded around him like blooming flowers, which was somewhat of a beautiful sight.

At that moment, all of them were equal.

Be it the common cultivators or the Elders from the Cult, they lost their lives simultaneously.

“Ah!” some cultivators exclaimed while appearing flustered. The sight before their eyes was beyond them. Faced with such a life-and-death situation, they had no idea what to do.

“Kill him!” an Elder from the Cult bellowed. At the same time, he cast a spell on the red tall figure.

The figure remained unfazed as he extended one hand and penetrated the powerful spell before grabbing the Elder from the Cult.

Although the Elder was pretty sturdy, he was grabbed in someone else’s hand like he was a chick. Regardless of how hard he tried, he was unable to struggle out of the person’s grip.

All of a sudden, a snap was heard. The Elder fell apart like a bubble bursting.

Countless attacks came from all directions, but the red figure never dodged them. On the other hand, his attacks were simple and savage as though he was a commoner who had never cultivated before. It was as if he had gotten into a brawl with a group of people.

However, these ordinary moves made the cultivators from the Cult feel despondent.

The repercussions from the red figure’s attacks were lethal enough to kill them. Even the Elders were easily destroyed.

Whoever was targeted by the red figure would never survive the next breath of time.

Looking at the shocking sight from afar, Lu Ye finally realised what Zhuang Bufan was trying to achieve.

Just like what Zhuang Bufan had said, there wouldn’t be another chance like this if he missed it.

If he didn’t seize the chance, he would gradually wither and die. However, at this moment, he had never shone more brightly in his life.

His life would be worth it if his death was meaningful.

“He hasn’t managed to take full control of the Dragon Throne, so he isn’t able to fully activate its power,” the Divine Healer was heard saying just then. It was as though she was trying to tell Lu Ye something. That was the reason the red figure’s movements were simple when he dealt with the enemies. Since Zhuang Bufan couldn’t take control of the treasure, he could only try to kill the enemies using some straightforward moves. Moreover, his mind must be heavily affected as well. “For a divine item like the Dragon Throne, one would suffer a backlash if he tries to activate it without taking control of it first. The damage in foundation and soul is only a symptom.”

Only then did Lu Ye realise how Zhuang Bufan was even injured.

Zhuang Bufan had said that the Divine Healer must have some speculation about his injury. Now, it indeed seemed to be the case.

The Divine Healer had treated countless cultivators before, but none of them was in the same condition as Zhuang Bufan.

It would’ve been fine if he were wounded when fighting his enemies. Nevertheless, the Divine Healer could tell that Zhuang Bufan wasn’t injured during a fight. Instead, he had suffered some damage when cultivating a Secret Technique.

Coupled with some rumours the Divine Healer had heard a while back, she formed some speculation.

However, she had never asked Zhuang Bufan about it. For a doctor like her, she just had to treat the patients after receiving the medical expenses.

If not for Zhuang Bufan’s words before he left, she wouldn’t have explained so much to Lu Ye.

“Half a month ago, a divine item appeared in Nan Zhou, which caused countless cultivators to get into a fight, and many people were killed. In the end, the divine item went missing… I see. That’s how it is,” Huang Liang muttered under his breath.

As the Sect Master of the Imperial Sect, he was in control of a huge information network. He received the news as soon as the incident happened in Nan Zhou.

Soaring Dragon Boundary had a long history, and there were Divine Ocean Realm Masters and Real Lake Realm Masters in the past. Therefore, many ancient things were still valuable to the current cultivators.

The appearance of a divine item wasn’t rare in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

However, the Dragon Throne was no ordinary item.

Now, it seemed that the incident that took place in Nan Zhou half a month ago had everything to do with the Dragon Throne. As for why the item ended up in Zhuang Bufan’s hands, no one knew the reason.

If Huang Liang were aware of Zhuang Bufan’s real identity, he would’ve cast his doubt away.

Zhuang Bufan wasn’t called the Master of Theft for nothing. He was adept at taking a treasure away without anyone noticing it. However, he didn’t expect that the treasure he had taken would turn out to be something that would kill him.
