In retrospect, Yi Yi regretted not insisting on going down the path of the Way of Medicine.

However, it wasn’t like she could easily change her path, especially when she was a Cloud River Realm Master now. She could only cultivate the Way of Medicine in her spare time.

She decided that if she could safely return to Jiu Zhou this time, she would ask Shui Yuan to teach her more about the Way of Medicine.

“Where’s Liuli?” Lu Ye looked around, but Ye Liuli was nowhere in sight. Yi Yi shook her head as she had no idea where the young girl was either. She was distraught, so she didn’t have any energy left to pay attention to other matters.

Inside the hut, the Divine Healer was mixing up the herbs when Ye Liuli stepped into it.

As if having expected her visit, the Divine Healer said without lifting her head, “You’re awake.”

What she had said was strange because Ye Liuli didn’t wake up from her sleep or regain consciousness.

“Older Sister,” Ye Liuli called out gently.

If Lu Ye heard it, he would be surprised.

That was because since their arrival in the Valley of Medicine, Ye Liuli and Yi Yi had been calling the Divine Healer ‘Senior’. As such, it was awkward that Ye Liuli called the woman ‘Older Sister’ all of a sudden.

What was even stranger was that the Divine Healer didn’t find it unusual at all.

“Thanks for letting me stay by your side and taking care of me. If not for you, I would’ve been gone for good and wouldn’t have developed any sentience.” Upon finishing her words, Ye Liuli saluted the woman.

The Divine Healer never stopped what she was doing as she replied softly, “Our fates are intertwined, so you don’t have to thank me. Have you made a decision?”

Ye Liuli nodded. “Sixth Brother… has done a great job. He’s the person I’ve been waiting for. I’m sure he’ll succeed.”

The Divine Healer let out a sigh. “I hope you’ll quit being obstinate after this.”

“I will.” Ye Liuli dipped her head.

“Go ahead.”

Ye Liuli fell to her knees and pressed her head against the floor in front of the Divine Healer. When she got to her feet, she beamed and said, “Please take care of yourself, Older Sister.”

The moment she turned around, it meant that they would never meet again. Looking at the doorway, the Divine Healer remained silent for a long time before she let out a sorrowful sigh.

Inside the hut, Lu Ye was lying on the bed while Ye Liuli was helping him take medicine.

After Lu Ye borrowed energy from the world and cast an attack, it entered the Heavenly Gully and weakened the connection between Blood Boundary and Soaring Dragon Boundary. Following the epic battle under the Heavenly Gully, Ye Liuli recovered rapidly, and there were no signs of her suffering a relapse.

“I can take the medicine myself.” Lu Ye wasn’t used to anyone serving him.

Ye Liuli put on a faint smile. “You used to take care of me in the past, so I should do the same now. It’s called…” She gave it a thought. “Reciprocation.”

Upon hearing that, Yi Yi was amused. Lu Ye could hardly hold back his laughter as well while Amber covered its eyes, feeling awkward.

An annoyed Ye Liuli said, “Sixth Brother, look at Sister-in-law. She’s laughing at me!” Despite what she said, she was just trying to get Lu Ye’s attention.

Although Yi Yi had stopped trying to correct Ye Liuli, she still felt bashful whenever the latter called her ‘Sister-in-law’.

She stole a glance at Lu Ye, who remained calm as though he didn’t hear her.

“You have to lecture her!” Ye Liuli pouted and held out a spoon of medicine for Lu Ye.

Soon, Lu Ye finished taking the medicine. Ye Liuli put down the bowl and wiped his mouth for him before saying gently, “Let’s leave this place, Sixth Brother.”

A puzzled Lu Ye asked, “Where are we going?”

“Wherever.” Ye Liuli appeared expectant. “I had always stayed in Feng Zhou. It wasn’t until I left our hometown with you that I realised the world is so beautiful. Let’s walk around to look at the wonderful sights and enjoy the delicious food. It’s better than staying in this hut all the time.”

As if having made up her mind, she continued, “Perhaps you’ll get better when we go out there and walk around.”

Yi Yi initially wanted to stop them upon hearing that. Given Lu Ye’s condition, he wasn’t supposed to leave the valley. However, when she heard Ye Liuli’s last sentence, she gulped down the words she had yet to say.

Lu Ye was tempted by what Ye Liuli had said as he fell into his thoughts.

It wasn’t that he found her words sensible.

It was just that as he recalled his life for the past few years, he realised that since he was saved from the Evil Moon Valley by those from the Grand Sky Coalition and became a cultivator, he had been working hard to improve his cultivation and contending with the cultivators from Thousand Demon Ridge. Regardless of how much growth he had attained, he never felt it was enough. There seemed to be some constant pressure on his shoulders.

He had been to many places on the Spirit Creek Battlefield and the Cloud River Battlefield. However, wherever he went, he had to deal with conflicts and slaughter.

He didn’t even have time to take in the beautiful sights of these two Battlefields.

Also, he had never left Crimson Blood Sect when he was in Jiu Zhou, so he hadn’t had a chance to experience its charm.

It would be a shame if he passed away just like this.

His life was coming to an end. Even though he couldn’t take in the scenery of Jiu Zhou, it would be a good idea to take a good look at Soaring Dragon Boundary.

Perhaps his health had affected his mindset. All of a sudden, he realised that there wasn’t always a need to rapidly increase his power.

Unfortunately, the realisation didn’t dawn on him in the past, but it still wasn’t too late.

“Let’s go, then?” Lu Ye arched his brow. They decided to leave without informing anyone about it. Yi Yi and Ye Liuli took Lu Ye away the same night. They set off from the northernmost area to the south. That was because Ye Liuli said that the south of Soaring Dragon Boundary was a scenic area with brilliant people and splendid buildings.

Two people, one apparition, and one tiger stealthily left the Valley of Medicine.

In the following days, they just walked around leisurely. Whenever they arrived at a new area, they would visit the most prosperous city and take in the scenery. They were left with many wonderful memories.

To help Lu Ye move around with ease, Ye Liuli and Yi Yi crafted a wheelchair for him. When they were in a prosperous city, the two of them would help push Lu Ye’s wheelchair as they observed the people around them.

The epic battle under the Heavenly Gully had a huge impact on the cultivation community in Soaring Dragon Boundary, but the commoners were mostly unaffected. Although many of them had heard about what had happened, those things were far removed from their daily life, and they didn’t have a right to interfere anyway.

Their survival depended on the cultivators in this world. If the cultivators succeeded, the commoners would survive as well. However, if the cultivators failed, the rest of them would also be doomed.

It was a miserable notion, but they could also be considered lucky.

Lu Ye had never been calmer in his life. Since leaving the Valley of Medicine, he had never thought about cultivating. That way, he felt that his mind had been elevated.

In comparison, his health was getting worse by the day.

Just like what the Divine Healer had said, every world had a source, and it was the same case for Humans. His source had been hollowed out, so there was no way it could be replenished.

His worsening health also caused him to be sleepy most of the time. Sometimes, he would just fall asleep in the middle of something.

When he woke up, he would occasionally hear Yi Yi’s suppressed sobs.

When they arrived at Tyrant Blade Manor in Feng Zhou again, Ye Liuli pushed Lu Ye’s wheelchair forward as they walked around the familiar environment.

Although only a short time had passed, the manor, which had been famous throughout the area for the past few decades, was now in a dilapidated state.

It was a lovely night. On the island in the middle of the saber-shaped lake, Ye Liuli spread her arms as if trying to embrace the entire night sky. She asked cheerfully, “Sixth Brother, do you remember what happened when we were young kids?”

“Which incident are you talking about?” Lu Ye asked. He didn’t know anything about their past. In fact, after he arrived in this world, he only received some limited information.

“You, Big Brother, and Second Brother stole an ancient scroll from Father’s library. I don’t know what’s written on it. After Father discovered it, he hung the three of you here and whipped you.”

Lu Ye felt the corners of his eyes twitching when he imagined the scene. “Oh, that incident.”

Ye Liuli put on a faint smile. “I brought you guys some food. Big Brother and Second Brother ate it, but you were obstinate and refused to eat. Then, you passed out because you were too hungry. Father was scared out of his wits. Since then, he had never been harsh to all of you.”

Lu Ye listened to her in silence. He didn’t have any siblings, but as he listened to Ye Liuli’s narration, he found the incident interesting.

“Sixth Brother, what was written on the ancient scroll?” Ye Liuli asked.

“I don’t know because I didn’t see it,” Lu Ye replied honestly as he shook his head.

“Alright…” Ye Liuli stopped asking as she touched her face and spoke calmly. “There’s some wind.”

The wind was filled with murderous intent. In the darkness, many figures came over and surrounded the island.

Lu Ye and Yi Yi remained calm and collected. Even Ye Liuli wasn’t flustered.

Upon seeing that, the burly man in front felt his chest tightening and instinctively realised that something was off. However, it had come to a point where there was no turning back.

“Xiong Tieshan?” When Lu Ye registered the burly man’s presence, he realised who the person was.

The man was none other than the Sect Master of Divine Will Sect, Xiong Tieshan. He was also the one who killed Ye Ying. All the Sects in Soaring Dragon Boundary were dragged into the war under the Heavenly Gully. Naturally, those from Divine Will Sect had participated in it as well.

They suffered huge losses during the war as most of them were killed by the Blood Race members. Xiong Tieshan managed to survive.

He had been feeling uneasy recently because he recognised Lu Ye, who became the spotlight on the battlefield. It could even be said that the young man had single-handedly saved the Soaring Dragon Boundary.

Much to his surprise, the young man was the sixth Son of Ye Ying, and that was bad news for him.

He had killed Ye Six’s Father, and this kind of feud was never reconcilable.

Following the war, Ye Six became the saviour of the world and an important guest of the three major Sects. Someone like him could easily kill Xiong Tieshan by ordering other people to do it for him.

As such, Xiong Tieshan had been suffering from insomnia. He had repeatedly thought about killing Lu Ye first.

However, many cultivators had been moving around the Valley of Medicine, so there wasn’t a chance for him to do so.

He didn’t expect Lu Ye to leave the valley without anyone’s knowledge and never hide his whereabouts. This gave him a chance to achieve his goal.

He had gathered some people together and started tailing them. When they reached Tyrant Blade Manor, he could no longer contain his urge to destroy Lu Ye.

“It’s me.” Xiong Tieshan didn’t have the intention of hiding his identity as he directly admitted to it. He stared fixedly at Lu Ye with his eagle-like eyes. “Give me the Dragon Throne, Ye Six.”
