More light columns shattered the space and struck the altar.

The huge impact swept across the area. Although Lu Ye and the others had left the place in advance, they still collapsed to the ground upon impact. The Blood Race members, who were running after them, were killed on the spot.

When Lu Ye managed to stabilise himself, he turned to look at the altar.

However, he was astounded by what he saw.

“No way!” Huang Liang, who was watching everything in mid-air, was astonished.

He found it hard to believe what he saw. Without the Defensive Ward’s protection, the altar, which the Blood Race members had built, withstood the attacks from the Spirit Ships and remained intact.

There was no doubt they were utterly disappointed.

Just a moment ago, Huang Liang thought that after Lu Ye shattered the Defensive Ward, the altar would certainly be destroyed.

In truth, the altar was much sturdier than they thought.

All the cultivators from Soaring Dragon Boundary, who were paying attention to what was going on at the altar, fell into a dazed state.

“What do ants like all of you expect?” The Blood Lord sneered and charged towards a cultivator from Grandeur Academy nearest to him while engulfed in a layer of blood light.

Since the cultivator was beside himself, he was unable to fend off the Blood Lord, who jabbed his hand into the cultivator’s chest and pulled out the latter’s heart.

“Junior Brother Qi!” exclaimed more than ten cultivators from Grandeur Academy as they came to their senses and dashed towards the Blood Lord.

However, a member of their formation was destroyed, and they were dealing with a powerful cultivator like the Blood Lord. It was extremely difficult to sustain their formation. At that moment, their formation was on the brink of coming apart.

Yuan Changcun instantly realised that everything had been a pretence.

The Blood Lord and the Blood Race members protecting the altar were not forced to join the war, nor were they careless. It was because the altar was unbreakable.

After all, the altar was built from materials they had taken from Blood Boundary. As such, it couldn’t be destroyed easily.

The Defensive Ward was a layer of protection as well as a pretence, fooling the cultivators from Soaring Dragon Boundary into believing that they could destroy the altar as long as the Defensive Ward wasn’t around.

What happened was that they fell into a despairing state after breaking the Defensive Ward.

Their moment of astonishment caused many of them to lose their lives. Furthermore, due to the influence of the mysterious Grand Ward, the advantage that the cultivators from Soaring Dragon Boundary had accumulated was gone.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t the most despairing thing.

What made them feel even more despondent was that a lot of strange auras were felt coming from the Heavenly Gully, which was right above the altar. There were also many vague figures squirming in the Heavenly Gully. It was as though they would come out of it and arrive in this world at any moment.

The altar was meant to get Blood Boundary fully attached to this world, thus blurring the boundary between Blood Boundary and Soaring Dragon Boundary. Although they couldn’t achieve that in a short time, the next batch of Blood Race members was ready. They would probably arrive in this world in a short time.

Once that happened, the cultivators from Soaring Dragon Boundary would no longer be able to counterattack. What awaited them was destruction.

“Strike again!” Huang Liang bellowed.

Following his order, the Spirit Ships outside the battlefield started buzzing again. A moment later, light columns shot forward and struck the altar.

Nonetheless, the colossal altar only shook for a bit, but it remained intact.

The altar was more robust than they had imagined.

Huang Liang’s eyes already turned bloodshot.

Before he even gave the order, the third round of attacks arrived.

As he looked at everything from the sky, the light columns that looked like bolts of lightning would shoot forward and strike the altar at short intervals.

After five rounds, Huang Liang finally saw some hope. A particular spot of the altar that had been repeatedly attacked started cracking, and there was a dent.

There was no doubt that the altar was solid, but it wasn’t unbreakable. As long as they had enough power, they could destroy it.

Just as Huang Liang was feeling hopeful, he heard some explosions coming from outside the battlefield.

Shocked, he turned around and saw the Spirit Ships breaking apart.

They weren’t destroyed by the Blood Race members. Instead, the wards in the ships could no longer persevere after they were repeatedly activated in a short time.

The explosions of the wards caused the ships to come apart.

“Do Heavens want to destroy the Soaring Dragon Boundary?” Huang Liang felt gutted as some blood streamed towards his throat. He sprayed out a mouthful of blood, and his aura was rapidly weakening.

The hope was right before his eyes a moment ago, but it was mercilessly crushed the next instant. The emotional swings were unbearable even for someone like him.

“Hahahaha!” The Blood Lord guffawed as he extended his hand and grabbed the head of a Sword Cultivator from Grandeur Academy. It was as if he was merely holding a chick. His sneer reverberated across the battlefield. “I have to say that Humans in this world have the right to be our blood food. Resist now. You won’t have another chance!”

Upon finishing his words, he exerted more force on his hand, after which the cultivator’s head came apart.

He turned to look at Yuan Changcun, knowing that since this person was killed, the formation that had been bugging him would be broken.

On the other hand, Yuan Changcun was badly injured. The dent in his chest was caused by a single attack. When he met the Blood Lord’s gaze, he felt a sense of Death Qi engulfing him.

The idea of fleeing never crossed his mind. He held his sword in front of his chest and intertwined his aura with his weapon as the two of them became one.

He was a Sword Cultivator. Faced with such a calamity, he didn’t have a reason to back down, nor was it possible for him to do so.

Fighting his enemies until his death was his only option!

His aura surged as he was ready to contend with the Blood Lord. Just then, a ferocious aura broke out from the altar’s direction.

It was as though an ancient beast, which had been confined for millions of years, finally broke free from its cage.

The cacophonous battlefield fell silent in an instant. Both Blood Race members and Humans from this world felt horrified.

It was as if an invisible beast was crouching behind them and extending its long tongue to lick their necks.

The Blood Lord remained calm and collected despite being trapped in the formation. Nevertheless, his expression changed at this moment.

“Huh?”

He turned to look at the altar, only to see a scarlet and long figure hovering in mid-air.

The figure was a 9-metre-long Armour Golem, which was covered in scute. There were two inverted bone spurs on the elbows that radiated a cold glint.

The head of the Armour Golem was angular as it was apparently carved by the best Master in this field. It radiated a golden glow. The bloodshot eyes on the face gave off a horrifying feeling.

A rigid, savage, and ferocious aura spread across the area. The scarlet figure seemed to be the centre of this world at that moment.

“It’s the Dragon aura…” The Blood Lord frowned.

As a person from Blood Boundary, he was more knowledgeable than the cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

The cultivators in this world could only feel a savage and destructive aura from the scarlet figure. However, the Blood Lord could detect another kind of aura.

[It’s the Dragon aura! The real Dragon aura! The most powerful aura in the entire universe!]

“Armour Golem?” The Blood Lord was confused.

It was inconceivable that something with the Dragon aura even existed in this world, but it wasn’t impossible. After all, powerful creatures like Dragons wandered around the Void, and they might appear in any world.

What astounded him wasn’t the pure Dragon aura but the Armour Golem that appeared out of nowhere.

That was an Armour Golem that was made from a Dragon’s body.

It was unimaginable that someone could slay a Dragon and even use its body to craft such an Armour Golem.

This kind of treasure was rare even in Blood Boundary, not to mention Soaring Dragon Boundary.

It wasn’t something that belonged in this world. Even though Divine Ocean Realm Masters once existed in this world, they didn’t have the right to craft such a divine item.

On the other hand, Huang Liang looked dazedly at the scarlet figure and let out a sigh.

[He’s eventually forced to use that thing…]

He was aware that the Dragon Throne was in Lu Ye’s possession. If his judgement was right, Lu Ye was supposed to be the saviour, and the Dragon Throne would be used to save the world. It was the way this world dealt with a calamity. That was the reason the Dragon Throne accurately appeared at this point and miraculously fell into Lu Ye’s hands.

Nevertheless, from his perspective, he didn’t want Lu Ye to use the thing.

He still vividly remembered what had happened to Zhuang Bufan. Anyone who used the divine item would end up in a horrible state.

However, those from Soaring Dragon Boundary had used all their trump cards, and they no longer had any solution to counter the calamity. As such, the Dragon Throne was their last hope, and he understood why Lu Ye made such a decision.

In the centre of the world, Lu Ye, who was covered in the scarlet figure, felt his mind being elevated infinitely.

He had considered the pros and cons before using the Dragon Throne.

After witnessing what had happened to Zhuang Bufan, he knew what kind of burden he would face if he activated the divine item.

However, he had the confidence to control the divine item, unlike Zhuang Bufan.

The confidence came from the sensation he felt when refining the Dragon Throne. During the process, he didn’t face any obstacles at all. It was as though he was refining an ordinary Spirit Artifact, not a divine item.

Also, he could feel that the Dragon Throne had been friendly to him.

As such, he believed that what the Divine Healer had said might be true.

The reason Zhuang Bufan bore such a huge burden and passed away was that he didn’t obtain the Dragon Throne’s acknowledgement, so he was unable to control it. Certainly, he would be doomed by forcibly activating its power.

Nonetheless, if one could get the Dragon Throne’s acknowledgement, things probably wouldn’t become dreadful.

Having said that, Lu Ye wouldn’t dare to give it a try on a whim. As such, he had only kept the Dragon Throne in his Storage Bag.

It wasn’t until this moment that he decided to use it.

All the Spirit Ships had exploded, so they no longer had any way to counter the threat posed by the altar. With the altar’s help, the next batch of Blood Race members would arrive at any moment.

Those from Soaring Dragon Boundary were pushed over the edge. They were at the most critical moment when their life or death would be determined.

Without hesitation, Lu Ye fished out the Dragon Throne and infused his Spiritual Power into it.
