Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Seeing how Mui had left her senior brother in a devasted state as she was making her way towards him, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly as he quietly sent a message to Elder Song and had him allocate a bit more mystic grade spiritual metal to Bai Ning. Making sure that he would at least get the three pieces of mystic grade spiritual metal that he had prepared before Mui swept through his forge and took them with her during the short time, he had left them alone.

”Maaaster!”

Not even a few seconds after he sent the message to Elder Song, Mui came rushing into his palace as she called out to him with an excited expression on her face. Obviously having arrived to show off the artifact that she had created with her senior brother’s precious spiritual metals.

”Come in…” Knowing there was no stopping this girl, Xuan Hao just shook his head as he allowed her to come in and show off, also feeling a bit curious about what kind of artifact she had ended up creating with the three different mystic grade spiritual metals that she by all means shouldn’t have been able to use with her current level of skill in blacksmithing, then again… Her abysmal realm didn’t follow the ordinary path of progress.

”Master, look! This is…”

As she rushed inside following the door to his cultivation room opening, Mui didn’t waste a second as she began to happily show off the strange spherical artifact that she had created. Making sure that he knew just how awesome it was.

The only problem with the artifact was that it didn’t really have any real use, outside of the fact that it was hard to the point that it would be hard for anyone below the Soul Ascension Realm to leave as much as a scratch on it.

However, even if this was the case, Xuan Hao still made sure to praise Mui to continue working hard. After all, the formation she had created in the training ground for the younger disciples, had become an important resource for the sect when it came to nurturing the younger disciples below the Core Formation Realm.

Even if she ended up wasting a few of the sect’s resources every now and then on seemingly useless things like the incredibly durable spherical artifact she had created this time around, it was still worth it if she could create something similar to the red slime creation formation again.

For this reason alone, Elder Song didn’t try to interfere with Mui after learning about the loss of the three different mystic grade spiritual metals from him, his view on the situation being similar to his own.

In the end, after Mui finished showing off her artifact to him, Xuan Hao took the opportunity to teach her. Spending the next few hours together with her while teaching her about the Nascent Soul Realm and at the same time getting a better understanding of his disciple’s progress so far. Making sure that there wasn’t anything wrong with her foundation due to how fast she had progressed through the Nascent Soul Realm…

”Bye, bye, master!”

Watching a Mui left his cultivation room with a happy smile still present on her face, Xuan Hao similarly smiled at her as he waved to her as she dashed off in the direction of the qi spring lake at the center of the sect.

If he didn’t guess wrong, she should be heading there to show off her artifact to Zu Fei- Or anyone who happened to run into her along the way.

”I should get back to cultivating...” Muttering this to himself as he turned his attention away from Mui, Xuan Hao couldn’t help feeling a hint of anticipation as he began to look forward to the reward he would get when the interspatial ring quest finished in another two months… And considering that time passed by the fastest while fully focused on comprehending the dao, Xuan Hao didn’t waste any more time as he sat back down and closed his eyes to focus on comprehending the Dao of Space.

Considering that he needed to comprehend the Dao of Space to the Perfection Realm before he could awaken his physique, he had already decided to focus his full attention on trying to comprehend the Dao of Space.

Even though his cultivation realm was still nowhere near the required cultivation realm, he could at least try to complete the other requirements. Not to mention, increasing his comprehension of the Dao of Space would also allow him to create more layers around his dao seed and thus progress his cultivation realm at the same time.

Although inevitably slower than if he just comprehended a large number of Daos to the Small Success Realm, comprehending the Dao of Space would be more beneficial in the long run, as he would have to comprehend it at some point in time if he wanted to awaken his physique.

As for the Dao of Time… He had tried to comprehend it during the past few months but had been unsuccessful.

According to what little he had managed to learn about the Dao of Time from asking Pei Yang, the Dao of Time was considered one of the hardest Daos to comprehend.

Without any special opportunity, it would be close to impossible to even reach the Elementary Realm in the Dao, as anyone who managed to comprehend even a small fraction of the Dao of Time could already be considered to have some control over their own time.

One of the only people in known records to have comprehended the Dao of Time, although not known for his strength, had managed to live for over three hundred thousand years while only being at the earlier stages of the Dao Seed Realm before disappearing from the face of the continent. Rumored to have gone into seclusion a little over a hundred thousand years ago and still thought to be alive and in the process of comprehending the Dao of Time.

And this person was just one of the people who had comprehended the Dao of Time in recent times. Following the same path, anyone who comprehended the Dao of Time seemed to have a lifespan unimaginable to anyone at the same realm, while at the same time also having an incredibly slow cultivation speed for some unknown reason. Staying in the same realm for hundreds of thousands of years without any progress.

But then again, it could also just be that those comprehending the Dao of Time decided to hide their own cultivation base. After all, none of the people who had comprehended the Dao of Time according to Pei Yang, had ended up dying. Instead, they just disappeared from the world after a period of time. Leaving no traces of where they had gone behind…

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao focused his attention on comprehending the Dao of Space.

Although he was really curious about the Dao of Time and the people who had managed to successfully comprehend it, he also understood that it wasn’t something he could learn about at the moment.

…

”Hm? Is this where all those people escaped to?” At the same time Xuan Hao once again began to dwell into the mysterious of the Dao of Space, a demonic figure standing a little over two meters tall appeared close to the edge of the Star Shattering Sect’s territory as he muttered this to himself while staring in the direction of one of the Nascent Soul Realm elders of the sect who had been put in charge of helping guard the borders of the sect.

”Nascent Soul Realm… And around the later stages of the realm as well. Not to mention, there are a few other Nascent Soul Realm cultivators nearby, together with a Domain Lord Realm Expert a bit further away. Looks like this should be the territory of some local power.” Continuing to examine the situation while also turning to look in the direction where of the Star Shattering Sect’s elders who had just recently broken through to the Domain Lord Realm was staying, the demonic figures showed a serious expression on his face upon the mention of a local power.

In his eyes, a local power wasn’t something like a small kingdom or sect, but instead a power at the level of the Onyx Empire or Sky Empire before its fall, a force with the backing of someone in the Soul Ascension Realm. Only a power of this level would have the power to dispatch someone in the Domain Lord Realm to guard their border!

”Not to mention it being a local power, it might also be related to the strange barrier that blocked off the Frozen Wasteland from this place. Hm… Looks like I will have to check out the situation myself.” Narrowing both his eyes as he said this, the demonic figure turned into a black mist that quickly flew into the territory of the Star Shattering Sect without being noticed by the Domain Lord Realm Elder in charge of guarding the border from any demonic cultivators who might try and do just that.
