Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following Shen Xuefeng breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm, it did not take long before the rest of the sect’s elders began to make significant progress towards the Domain Lord Realm… And although none of them managed to break through to the Domain Lord Realm in the week after Shen Xuefeng’s breakthrough, a few of them had managed to take another step forward and established a pseudo domain. Meaning that it would only be a matter of time before they broke through.

In the end, among the people who had already broken through to the Domain Lord Realm, Feng Chen managed to directly break through to the Third Stage of the Domain Lord Realm after spending a single day in front of the Dao Enlightenment Monument, while Shu Yao also managed to breakthrough to the Second Stage of the Domain.

The rest of the sect’s Domain Lord Realm each made significant progress towards the Second Stage of the Domain Lord Realm. Only needing more time to breakthrough and follow in the footsteps of Feng Chen and Shu Yao.

Of course, with such a rapid speed of improvement, Pei Yang who had spent most of his time recovering in a courtyard not too far away from the core of the sect, also grew interested in the Dao Enlightenment Monument and decided to pay it a visit.

Although he had also heard about the Dao Seed Realm that Xuan Hao had mentioned to Wei Chin when he tasked him with setting up the place, he didn’t think too much about it and just guessed that it should be a different name for the Earth Immortal Realm. After all, the enclosed lotus that formed in the dantian after reaching the Earth Immortal Realm could be considered a seed that had to be nurtured into blooming inside the dantian.

However, after personally visiting the Dao Enlightenment Monument, he was shocked to discover that the dao carvings left on the monument were also useful for his cultivation. Although nowhere near as useful as it was to those elders in the Nascent Soul Realm trying to reach the Domain Lord Realm, they were still useful to him.

Meaning… That he hadn’t reached the Dao Seed Realm that Xuan Hao had mentioned. Making him start to second guess his earlier thoughts of the realm being the same as the Earth Immortal Realm.

I will have to ask him about this…

Thinking this to himself as he left the Dao Enlightenment Monument after spending an entire week spell bound by a dao carving that corresponded with the dao he had comprehended back when he broke through to the Earth Immortal Realm, Pei Yang didn’t waste any time as he headed directly towards Xuan Hao’s place. Fully intend on finding out more about the Dao Seed Realm.

”Hm? Pei Yang is here to see me?”

Given the fact that he intended to visit Xuan Hao, it did not take long before the person in question found out about it after a quick message sent through his divine sense. Resulting in Xuan Hao postponing a training session that he planned to have with his newest disciple in a few minutes.

The reason behind Xuan Hao decision to do this was rather simple. This was the first time Pei Yang had asked for a meeting with him ever since he became a part of the Star Shattering Sect.

Delaying Chun Hua’s training session by an hour or two for something like this wouldn’t hurt. Not to mention, Chun Hua might even be happy to get another hour or two longer to focus on her cultivation.

As for why this would be the case… That had to do with the rivalry that had bloomed between her and Chu Yang during the short time she had been living in the Star Shattering Sect.

At the moment, both of them were fully focused on seeing who among them would be able to break through to the Domain Lord Realm first. Resulting in both of them focusing all of their time on cultivating, while ignoring everything else.

Even he, the master, had a hard time trying to set aside time for teaching the two of them, as both of them already had a clear path towards the Domain Lord Realm and didn’t need his help on this matter. Already being as prepared as they could be for the breakthrough…

”Pei Yang, what do I owe the pleasure?” For this reason, Xuan Hao happily greeted Pei Yang as he appeared at the entrance to his home before motioning for him to follow him inside where Zhi Ruo was already in the process of preparing a few simple snacks and tea for them.

”Xuan Hao… Or do prefer Grand Elder Xuan?”

”Ah… Xuan Hao is just fine.”

”Then, Xuan Hao, I have something I wanted to ask you about, so I ended up rudely inviting myself.”

”Hehe, it’s no problem at all, you can ask away and I will do my best to help resolve your doubts.” Hearing that Pei Yang had come to him to ask about something, Xuan Hao could not help wondering what he wanted to ask him about as the two of them ended up in one of the larger rooms for receiving guests where Zhi Ruo had already finished preparing a few simple snacks and tea for them.

”Ah, it’s nothing serious, I just wanted to ask about the Dao Seed Realm that I heard you mention to Wei Chin back when you set up the Dao Enlightenment Monument.” Seeing the somewhat serious expression on Xuan Hao’s face, Pei Yang decided to directly ask his question before some kind of misunderstanding was created.

”The Dao Seed Realm? I see… Guess its only a given that you would want to know about it after I ended up mentioning it to Wei Chin…” Hearing what Pei Yang said, Xuan Hao silently let out a breath of relief at the fact that it wasn’t anything serious as he sat down took a sip of the tea that Zhi Ruo had prepared for them.

”Hm… How much do you know about the Earth Immortal Realm and the Celestial Immortal Realm that comes after it?” Not knowing where to start his explanation of the Dao Seed Realm to someone who had only ever known about the Earth Immortal Realm, Xuan Hao decided to first ask what Pei Yang knew about the Earth Immortal Realm and the Celestial Realm to both gauge where to start his explanation and at the same time see if he could learn more about the Celestial Immortal Realm from Pei Yang.

”How much do I know? Hm… For the Earth Immortal Realm, I know that it’s divided into…” Hearing what Xuan Hao said, Pei Yang thought about the question for a few seconds before starting to explain the Earth Immortal Realm in detail.

Although the information was far more expansive and in-depth than what Xuan Hao knew about the realm, it was nothing new.

”… When it comes to the Celestial Immortal Realm…”

Only upon reaching the Celestial Immortal Realm did he start to pay more attention. Unfortunately, Pei Yang’s knowledge on the Celestial Immortal Realm was worse than his own. Not really providing any new insights into the realm itself.

”… That is all I know about the Earth Immortal Realm and the Celestial Immortal Realm; I wonder if there is anything I’m wrong about?” As he finished explaining his understanding of the two realms, Pei Yang felt even more so than before that there was something special about the Dao Seed Realm, as it didn’t seem to fit into the Earth Immortal Realm or the Celestial Immortal Realm that he knew about.

After all, he could tell from how useful the Dao Enlightenment Monument was to him that it wouldn’t be useful after his strength reached the later stages of the Earth Immortal Realm. Meaning that the Dao Seed Realm should be located somewhere inside the Earth Immortal Realm.

”No, there isn’t anything wrong with it so to speak, it’s just that your understanding of the Earth Immortal Realm is limited. Well… Not really the Earth Immortal Realm, but the Dao Seed Realm as it was called in the past.”

”The past! Is the Dao Seed Realm perhaps the name of the Earth Immortal Realm during the ancient era!?”

”Indeed! Not just that, but the Dao Seed Realm is far more profound and also has a far higher upper limit compared to the Earth Immortal Realm of today. Not to mention, the realm after the Dao Seed Realm is different than the one after breaking through at the Peak of the Earth Immortal Realm…” Seeing that he had Pei Yang’s full attention, Xuan Hao didn’t intend to hide anything regarding the Dao Seed Realm from Pei Yang as he began to explain both the Dao Seed Realm and the Profound Immortal Realm that came after it in detail.

After all, Pei Yang was now a part of the Star Shattering Sect, and it would be bad for the sect if he reached what he thought was the Peak of the Earth Immortal Realm and decided to break through to the Celestial Immortal Realm instead of trying to reach the Profound Immortal Realm.
