Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Finding out about the history of the empty plain and how it had been established, Xuan Hao retracted his divine sense and dao domain as he felt himself relaxing his nerves. From the information that he had gathered about the different city states, the strongest people on the empty plain had only reached the Soul Ascension Realm, while most of the city states scattered across the plain were governed by powerful Domain Lord Realm Experts ranging between the Middle and Later Stages of the realm.

For this reason, whenever an especially powerful demon beast happened to pass through the empty plain, the people hidden away inside the different cities would either escape somewhere else or hide away underground and pray that the demon beast didn’t notice them.

Of course, situations like that were rare and only happened once every few hundred years, as demon beasts strong enough to force everyone on the empty plain to run away and hide underground had at least reached the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm and possibly even the Dao Seed Realm.

Large as the empty plain was, it was still rather small in comparison to the entire primeval jungle. Not to mention, it was located close to the edge of the primeval jungle where the more powerful demon beasts rarely ventured.

Whoosh~!

With all of this in mind, Xuan Hao continued moving in the direction of the mark he had left behind in Chun Hua’s soul. Not intending to waste any time investigating the large empty plain, as he had already found out why so many cultivators decided to risk their life to settle down in such a dangerous place, the blood left behind by the powerful Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts that had fought the equally powerful human cultivators in the past.

The blood was so powerful that it could help someone overcome the tribulation and step into the Soul Ascension Realm and was even rumored to be capable of helping those in the Soul Ascension Realm progress through the Soul Ascension Realm smoothly. Allowing them to directly step into the Dao Seed Realm if they had enough blood.

Even though Xuan Hao doubted that the blood of the two demon beasts in the Celestial Immortal Realm would be as useful as described in the rumors he overheard about it, the rumors should be true to some extent.

If not, there wouldn’t be so many people gathered at the empty plain devoid of resources outside of the relatively higher spiritual qi concentration compared to an empire like the Sky Empire.

The main reason that he wasn’t really interested in the blood of the Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts that had the magical effect of helping someone step in the Soul Ascension Realm and progress all the way to the Dao Seed Realm was rather simple, as there would be a very obvious drawback from consuming the blood of spiritual beast.

The drawback in question being the remnant will of the demon beast still left in the blood and the changes that consuming the blood would have on one’s body.

Of just the few Domain Lord Realm cultivators that he had seen so far, there were quite a few of them that had the very obvious characteristics belonging to a demon beast somewhere on their bodies. Even though they did their best to hide it, it was easy for Xuan Hao to notice with his powerful divine sense.

Not to mention, those people had clearly only consumed a very small among of the blood. Making Xuan Hao guess that the Soul Ascension Realm Experts on the plain wouldn’t look much different from a demon beast.

”I wonder if Chun Hua had to pass through this place as well… And more importantly, if she happened to consume some of the blood to increase her strength…” Muttering this to himself as he spotted a group of Domain Lord Realm Experts fighting to the death over a small drop of blood floating a few feet off the ground, Xuan Hao could not help waving his hand as he used his dao domain to grab the drop of blood and take it away before the Domain Lord Realm Experts had a chance to notice.

”Huh? Where did the divine blood go!?”

”Wha-!? Did you take it!?”

”No, it wasn’t me!”

”He’s lying for sure! I saw him sneakily put it in his interspatial ring earlier!”

”Ha!? What are you talking about!? You were clearly the one who…”

As the Domain Lord Realm Experts noticed that the drop of blood disappeared, they not only didn’t stop fighting, but instead began fighting with far more energy compared to before as they looked like a bunch of wild animals who had seen fresh prey after starving for weeks without anything to eat.

If not for the fact that Xuan Hao could clearly tell that the group of cultivators were normal cultivators without anything special to them outside of a few scales and horns at random on their bodies, he would have thought he had encountered a bunch of demonic cultivators- No, the group of Domain Lord Realm cultivators below were far more violent than any demonic cultivator he had encountered…

Is this perhaps another side effect of consuming the blood of the two Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts?

Thinking this to himself as he examined the drop of blood, Xuan Hao could only shake his head helplessly after realizing that he couldn’t see through the drop of blood. The only thing he could see was the abundant and powerful vitality contained inside the drop of blood.

Although meaningless to someone like himself, it would undoubtedly be of great help to anyone below the Dao Seed Realm. Especially if they practiced a body refining method that could make use of the powerful vitality to strengthen their bodies with the help of the powerful vitality.

Whoosh~

Deciding to not think too much about the mystery behind the blood for now, he threw it into his interspatial ring before continuing in the direction of Chun Hua’s soul mark.

Given that he had already gotten close to the edge of the primeval jungle, he could tell that Chun Hua had managed to safely make it out of the primeval jungle and wasn’t too far away from his current location.

Continuing at his current speed, Xuan Hao felt like it shouldn’t take more than a week for him to reach Chun Hua, as long as he wasn’t unlucky enough to run into a few Dao Seed Realm demon beasts fighting with each other along the way.

…

At the same time Xuan Hao was making his way through the empty plain inside the primeval jungle, picking up any of the mysterious demon beast blood that he found along the way, Chun Hua, the person he was trying to find, stepped into a large city that made even the capital city of the Sky Empire seem small in comparison.

”I’m finally back…” Muttering this to herself as she glanced around at the bustling city streets that appeared in front of her, Chun Hua quickly lowered her head and covered her face with the large cloak she was wearing.

Though happy to have returned safely after years of travelling through the deadly primeval jungle, she also understood that she would be targeted by the enemies of her family the moment she was noticed by them. Only by safely making her way back to the part of the massive city that fell under the control of her family could she be considered to be safe to some degree.

Although she felt confident in the mark Xuan Hao had left on her after seeing it in action, she also understood that there were people far stronger than the Soul Ascension Realm present inside the city and some of those people were also the ones targeting her family. No matter what, she didn’t want those people to realize that she had returned.

Whoosh~

With all of this in mind, Chun Hua didn’t waste a second as she began heading straight towards the part of the massive city that fell under her family’s management.

The only problem with this being the fact that it would take her over a day to reach the place with her current strength in the Nascent Soul Realm. Even though this was also due to her not daring to use her full strength to rush there in fear of drawing attention to herself, it still spoke to the sheer size of the city that it would take such a long time for a Nascent Soul Realm Expert to reach a place inside the city.

In terms of size alone, the city could rival the part of the old Heavenly Sky Kingdom that fell under the Star Shattering Sect’s control!

Undoubtedly, the strength of the empire behind such a massive city could easily be imagined to not be any weaker than the Blue Sea Empire that dominated the region where the Star Shattering Sect was located…
