Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Returning to the Star Shattering Sect’s territory without any more interruptions, Xuan Hao first decided to stop by the Iron Sky Kingdom on the way to the sect. Intending to pick up the rabbit demon beast he had help Yi Min deal with her situation.

”Huh?”

However, before he arrived at the capital city of the Iron Sky Kingdom, he noticed a certain Soul Ascension Realm cultivator dutifully standing beside the rabbit demon beast while feeding it a few spirit stones every now and then.

What in the- Did it tame one of the people attacking the Iron Sky Kingdom!?

Not knowing what was happening, Xuan Hao could only guess that his little demon beast had somehow managed to tame one of the Soul Ascension Realm cultivators that had been attacking the Iron Sky Kingdom. Even then, the thought of his pet taking a human subordinate felt a little weird and made him wonder if he should do something about it and prevent the rabbit demon beast from trying to recruit any more humans.

After all, carrying the rabbit demon beast and the squirrel demon beast around in his sleeve was fine, but carrying a group of humans around in a similar fashion felt a bit weird…

But… That person is in the Soul Ascension Realm and will definitely be useful to the Star Shattering Sect….

Feeling conflicted and not knowing what to do about the rabbit demon beast’s newest subordinate, Xuan Hao decided to ignore the situation for now and return to the sect together with Chun Hua first while leaving the rabbit demon beast to do its own thing in the Iron Sky Kingdom for now.

Whenever it grew bored or wanted the spirit stones, he had promised it in return for protecting the Iron Sky Kingdom, it would inevitably return, and he could find a solution to this problem at that time.

”Time for you to return to your lord.”

Whoosh-!

With that in mind, he gently waved his sleeve, causing the squirrel demon beast to fly out in the direction of pavilion that the rabbit demon beast was currently inside of. Indulging in the spirit stones that Yi Min had provided it with after the end of the battle. Not intending to look after one of the rabbit demon beast’s subordinates while it wasn’t even around.

Squeeaaaaak~!

Suddenly being sent flying through the air at a terrifying speed, the squirrel demon beast inevitably let out a fearful scream as it directly broke the sound barrier. Alerting everyone below about its presence-

BANG!

Unfortunately, it was too late for anyone to stop it, as it directly crashed into the pavilion where the rabbit demon beast was happily indulging in spirit stones while being served by its newest subordinate-

Squeak!?

Causing the rabbit demon beast in question to let out a surprised squeak. Only calming down again after realizing that the intruder was none other than its first subordinate. Not taking long after that to realize that the person behind the appearance was most likely its master… And given that its master had not appeared, it guessed that its master had agreed to it staying in the Iron Sky Kingdom to enjoy the spirit stones given by Yi Min.

Squeak~!

Feeling grateful for this, the rabbit demon beast let out a thankful squeaking sound while looking up in the direction that the squirrel demon beast had come flying in from.

”…”

Well, I guess it’s better this way…

Seeing the grateful expression of the rabbit demon beast through his divine sense and sensing its thoughts, Xuan Hao could only smile wryly as he thought this to himself before turning around to make his way back towards the Star Shattering Sect.

Given that the matter with the rabbit demon beast had been settled for now and he didn’t have to worry about the newest human subordinate for now, Xuan Hao didn’t intend to dwell on the matter any longer. Instead deciding to focus on properly introducing his newest disciple to the Star Shattering Sect.

After all, even if she had learnt a bit about the Star Shattering Sect in the past when she had tried to sneak into the sect, she didn’t know much outside of a few things that could be considered standard for most sects.

…

At the same time Xuan Hao arrived in the Iron Sky Kingdom together with Chun Hua and threw the squirrel demon beast to the rabbit demon beast, he also decided to inform his disciples about his return and the fact that they would have a new junior sister in the future.

”Master is returning! And with a new disciple! Hehe! I will no longer be the youngest! I wonder if it’s a junior brother or sister….” Among Xuan Hao’s disciples, the most excited among them was none other than Mui, who felt excited at the prospect of no longer being the youngest disciple and having someone who would look up to her as a big sister.

”From what master said, it seems to be a junior sister.” Seeing the excited expression on Mui’s face as their master informed them about the new disciple, Qing Yi happily informed her junior sister about the part she had missed out on due to her excitement upon hearing that she would get a junior and her master would be returning to the sect.

”I’m curious about how strong she is… Maybe she will be able to become my training partner in the future!” Standing not too far away from the two, Chu Yang muttered this to himself while looking forward to finding out how strong this junior sister was.

After all, from the way their master took disciples, it didn’t seem like he cared too much about their age or cultivation realm when taking them in. Not like some elders who preferred taking in someone before they started cultivating or had grown up inside the sect.

It was due to this fact that Chu Yang felt hopeful that the newest disciple of their master might be someone strong enough to fight with him and serve as a proper training partner. After all, the elders of the sect were no longer sufficient for him to properly train and only the ones at the Domain Lord Realm gave him a chance to go all out after he established his pseudo domain.

”Another junior sister…” Not too far away from the three, Bai Ning, who had just returned from the Sea of a Thousand Furnaces, could not help frowning to himself as he recalled his time together with Mui and the countless spiritual metals, she had ended up destroying.

If the new junior sister ended up being anything like Mui… He dared not think about it! The supply of spiritual metal in the Star Shattering Sect had already been severely damaged due to Mui, another one would strain it to the point where his and the rest of the blacksmiths in the sect would get affected and have the spiritual metal available to them for forging reduced!

Whoosh-!

Thinking about this, Bai Ning directly turned around and rushed back towards the Sea of a Thousand Furnaces. Intending to warn the elders of the Blacksmithing Hall to prepare in case the new disciple of his master turned out similar to Mui and wanted to try her hand at blacksmithing.

”Huh? Senior brother Bai? Where is he going?”

”No clue, he properly had something important to attend to, likely something related to one of his artifacts.”

”I see…”

Not paying too much attention to Bai Ning, as they had already gotten used to him running off whenever something came up regarding artifacts he was in the process of creating or when someone from the Blacksmithing Hall had found a type of spiritual metal he had been looking for, Qing Yi, Mui and Chu Yang didn’t think too much about him leaving as they continued chatting about their new junior sister.

All of them felt curious about her and how she had ended up as a disciple of their master. After all, their master had been gone for quite some time and none of them had any idea where he had gone outside of the fact that it had been somewhere outside the Sky Empire according to what little information Feng Chen had told them when they had asked him about it in the past.

In the end, the three of them soon finished their conversation and went on to do their own thing while waiting for their master and new junior sister to show up. After all, according to what their master had told him, he would be back in a few days. Intending to show their new junior sister around the territory of the Star Shattering Sect first before returning to the sect.

Not that surprising considering that there wouldn’t be much of a chance for her to leave the sect in the short term after arriving at the Shattered Star Peaks. Not so much because their master restricted their access to the outside world, but more so because there wasn’t anywhere else comparable to the cultivation environment in the Shattered Star Peaks.
