Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Seeing the winged snake demon beast running rampant as it killed off the different people who had forcefully woken it up from its slumber, the leader of the group in question fearfully did his best to rush in the direction of his ancestor. Hoping that his superior cultivation at the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm would give him enough speed to escape before the winged snake demon beast finished up the rest of his companions.

Whoosh-!

Unfortunately, the powerful wind forcing him back seemed to indicate that the winged snake demon beast also thought of this, as he soon found himself being forcibly dragged back in the direction of the winged snake demon beast.

”Nooo-!”

Realizing that he wouldn’t be able to reach his ancestor in time, he could only scream out helplessly as the winged snake demon beast finished up the last of his companions before turning its attention towards him.

Although this did result in the powerful winds affecting the rest of the cultivators around him, he didn’t feel the slightest bit happy knowing that their possible escape of the other noble family cultivators would come at the cost of his life. Especially so when some of the people who now stood a chance at escaping were the weaker Domain Lord Realm cultivators.

If I can’t escape, I might as well use everything at my disposal…

Not wanting to go down without a fight, while at the same time believing that he might have a chance to delay the winged snake demon beast for long enough to have his ancestor catch up an save him, the helpless noble family cultivator decided to use everything in his interspatial ring to fight back against what seemed like an inevitable death-

Swish-!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

And not a second later, countless talismans, artifacts and other powerful trump cards that had been saved up over a lifetime flew out towards the rapidly approaching winged snake demon beast before erupting with a power far beyond that of a cultivator in the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm. Reaching a level close to that of someone at the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm in terms of power.

Even when the first Soul Ascension Realm cultivator had fallen to the winged snake demon beast, the level of their trump cards had never reached this level before. Showing that the cultivator in the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm wasn’t someone ordinary but had a certain degree of power inside the noble family!

ROOOAR-!

Unfortunately, the difference between someone in the Soul Ascension Realm and the Dao Seed Realm was not that easy to cross and the powerful trump cards only ended up further enraging the winged snake demon beast without doing any real damage-

”No! Don’t-”

Crunch~

And before the Soul Ascension Realm cultivator had a chance to do anything more, the winged snake demon beast opened its mouth wide and chomped down on him. Instantly killing him in body and soul with a simple yet effective attack.

Will it leave?

Not able to stop this thought from emerging as they watched the last person of the group that had been tasked with attracting the winged snake demon beast to the frontier city, the few noble family cultivators who were unfortunate enough to find themselves right next to the winged snake demon beast could not help thinking this to themselves as they remained frozen on the spot. Not daring to move a single muscle out of fear that they might attract the attention of the terrifying demon beast.

Roar~

Not caring the slightest bit about the noble family cultivators around it, the winged snake demon beast let out a satisfied roar after having successfully hunted down the troublemakers daring enough to disturb its slumber before it turned around about to leave-

Roar?

But just as the noble family cultivators around it were about to let out a sigh of relief, the winged snake demon beast tensed up as it seemed to have discovered the ancestor at the Dao Seed Realm currently rushing directly towards it filled with killing intent. By accident, it also noticed the dozen or so noble family cultivators all around it.

Given that they were only around the Domain Lord Realm, the winged snake demon beast simply didn’t care enough to pay any attention to them earlier…

”Oh no, it noticed us!”

”Ancestor… Why do you have to do this to us?”

”If just the ancestor hadn’t shown up…”

Knowing what was about to happen as they felt the winged snake demon beast’s gaze focus on them, the dozen or so noble family cultivators could not help silently cursing at their ancestor before all of them turned and escaped in different directions with all their power. No longer caring about trying to remain hidden from the winged snake demon beast.

Rooar-!

However, if the difference between the Soul Ascension Realm and the Dao Seed Realm was already massive, the gap between the Domain Lord Realm and the Dao Seed Realm was simply unimaginable-

WHOOOOOOSH-!

”Ahh-!”

”Noo-!”

”Damnable ancestor!”

And before any of them had a chance to escape more than a few thousand meters, a terrifying wind swept over them and tore them apart. Instantly killing all of them without any resistance. The Dao of Wind comprehended by the winged snake demon beast was on full display for all to see. Confirming the earlier thoughts of the noble family cultivators that the winged snake demon beast was indeed the one behind the terrifying wind that suddenly prevented their escape.

”Dao of Wind… And such a terrifying level as well…” Not aware of what had happened earlier, the ancestor from the noble family could not help frowning to herself as she witnessed the winged snake demon beast using the Dao of Wind to kill the dozen or so Domain Lord Realm cultivators.

Although the winged snake demon beast’s strength was far below her, she clearly sensed that its comprehension of the Dao of Wind was superior to that of a normal demon beast that should have just recently broken through. Maybe it would even be able to fight equally against her with the help of its powerful comprehension of the Dao of Wind!

”Hmph! No use thinking about that, all I have to do is hold it off for a bit so they can escape back to the frontier city.” Shaking her head as she muttered this to herself, the old ancestor of the noble family sped up and soon appeared directly in front of the winged snake demon beast before it could kill any more of her people-

BOOOOOM-!

ROOOOAR-!

Not a second later, a terrifying battle began, as the ancestor from the noble family and the winged snake demon beast began clashing violently with each other. Killing off a few of the noble family cultivators too slow to escape, while the rest used all of their strength to rush towards the frontier city. None of them intending to waste the opportunity that their ancestor had given them.

Even more so because they all understood that their ancestor wouldn’t be able to hold on for long, as she would also be forced to retreat when the rest of the demon beast caught up!

…

Looks like she didn’t notice me and thinks everything was done by that demon beast, I guess I’m quite lucky that it’s comprehension of the Dao of Wind is so high, or she would have inevitably felt more suspicious about it being able to slow down everyone so far away.

Watching everything play out from shadows, Xuan Hao could not help letting out a sigh of relief as he kept his attention focused on the ancestor from the noble family violently clashing with the winged snake demon beast midair.

Although he had managed to successfully fool her and make her fight the winged snake demon beast, he also understood that it would be impossible for him to kill someone in the Dao Seed Realm in a single attack without the other party being injured.

Of course, this didn’t mean that he had no way to deal with the ancestor from the noble family…

Hm… The time for me to strike should be when those cultivators from the noble family are just about to reach the frontier city, as the rest of the Dao Seed Realm demon beast will arrive at that point. Forcing the ancestor from the noble family to retreat while enduring their attacks, a perfect moment to strike. Not to mention, I don’t have to kill her by myself and can also rely on the help of the demon beasts chasing her.

Smiling confidently to himself as he thought of this, Xuan Hao leaned back on a cloud next to him as he watched the ancestor of the noble family valiantly fight against the winged snake demon beast. Waiting for the rest of the Dao Seed Realm demon beast to catch up.

Waiting for the opportunity he had created for himself to show up…
