Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to do anything about his special physique any time soon and the source crystal was too dangerous to consume at the moment, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit weird. Although the information on how to awaken the Stellar Dao Body was useful, and the source crystal would be a great help in archiving this, he didn’t really get anything he could use at the moment and would have to wait until he grew stronger before he could make use of any of it.

”Oh well, for now, I should just continue focusing on nurturing my disciples and have the rest of them reach the Nascent Soul Realm for another reward.” Muttering this to himself as he decided to focus on nurturing his disciple for more rewards now that he didn’t have any plans of leaving the sect in the foreseeable future, Xuan Hao closed both his eyes as his divine sense swept out and covered the training ground where Chun Hua and Chu Yang were busy trying to stabilize their cultivation base.

✧ Second Disciple, Chu Yang ✧

Race: Human Talent: 57 Dao: Dao of the Spear (Domain) Potential Dao: Dao of Earth, Dao of Blood, Dao of Slaughter, Dao of Death Physique: No Special Physique Recommended Physique: Six Paths of Slaughter Divine Physique (Can be refined) Realm: First Stage of the Domain Lord Realm Cultivation Mantra: Soul Spear Divine Mantra ✧ Fifth Disciple, Chun Hua ✧

Race: Nature Spirit, Tree Spirit Talent: 67 Dao: Dao of Nature (Domain) Potential Dao: Dao of Wood, Dao of Life, Dao of Water Physique: Spirit Physique Realm: First Stage of the Domain Lord Realm Profession: Alchemy (Peak Apprentice Realm) Cultivation Mantra: Heart of the Forest Deciding to look over their status now that they had both broken through to the Domain Lord Realm, Xuan Hao noticed that outside of the pseudo dao part of their dao changing to domain, nothing had changed outside of Chun Hua somehow managing to reach the Peak of the Apprentice Realm for alchemy, a change he guessed had happened because her insight into the Dao of Nature had deepened. Giving her far deeper insight into spiritual herbs compared to normal.

Thinking about, maybe she didn’t even practice or try to become an alchemist but had automatically managed to reach the Apprentice Realm as her insight into the Dao of Nature had deepened. Maybe in the future, her alchemy realm would unknowingly end up increasing as her insight into the Dao of Nature deepened.

”Now that I think about it, outside of increasing the strength of my disciples, there is also that limited time quest. Given how long it’s been, it should only be a few months before it’s completed...” Recalling the quest that was better left unnamed as he looked through the status of his disciples, Xuan Hao could not help glancing towards a certain number that he had done his best to ignore over the years.

[6358/1000]

Though he did still throw out a few interspatial rings every now and then, he no longer bothered to use his time on refining new interspatial rings and only used those he had picked up from cultivators he had killed or during his travels outside the sect.

Even then, the sheer number of interspatial rings he had thrown away had ended up attracting a lot of talented young people to the Star Shattering Sect from all across the Sky Empire and even the Blue Sea Empire. The test created by the system inside the interspatial ring proved to be convincing enough for the lucky few who managed to find one of the interspatial rings that they would take on the long journey to reach the Star Shattering Sect.

Of course, not a single one of the people who had happened to pick up one of the interspatial rings he had throw out during his travels through the Blue Sea Empire had managed to reach the Star Shattering Sect yet and only those within the territory of the Sky Empire had managed to reach the sect so far.

As for the reason why, he knew about this… That was because the system would remind him every time someone happened to chance upon one of the interspatial rings and trigger the test stored inside. Giving him a chance to observe the test and see if the people inside were fit as personal disciples.

Unfortunately, he had yet to find a single potential disciple this way, though, on the bright side, the Star Shattering Sect did attract quite a large number of talented young people this way. Even managing to attract two young wandering cultivators at the Nascent Soul Realm, who had happened to pass through the territory of Sky Empire to escape a recent flood of demonic cultivators that had overwhelmed one of the bordering kingdoms of the Onyx Empire.

With this in mind, even though he hadn’t managed to pick up a disciple with the help of the interspatial rings he had thrown out during his travels outside the sect, it had still ended up attracting a steady flow of talented young people to join the sect. Ensuring that the younger generation of the sect remained strong.

…

Squeak!?

At the same time Xuan Hao was pondering over the recent breakthrough of his two disciples and his longest quest to date, a certain rabbit demon beast was letting out a surprised squeak as it suddenly discovered that the spirit stones that had once covered every part of the pavilion it resided in had disappeared.

Not too far away, the human cultivator who had been taken in as the rabbit demon beast’s second subordinate rushed over with a worried expression on his face as he kneeled down. ”Lord Rabbit! Is there anything I can help with?”

SQUEAK! Squeak, squeak, squeak!

Seeing the respectful expression of its subordinate and hearing what he said, the rabbit demon beast didn’t hold back in the slightest as it directly asked about the sudden lack of spirit stones… And although the human cultivator had a hard time properly understanding the squeaking sounds of the rabbit demon beast, he still managed to catch the general gist of it with the help of the contract that had been established between them.

”…”

However, even if he knew about what his lord was complaining about, there was nothing he could do about it, as Yi Min had long since cut off the flow of spirit stones after discovering that the rabbit demon beast showed no signs of leaving and consumed a tremendous amount of spirit stones every day.

The spirit stones that the rabbit demon beast had been consuming for the last two months didn’t come from the Iron Sky Kingdom, but had instead come from his personal savings… And at this point in time, the rabbit demon beast had already consumed all of his spirit stones.

Leaving him with no choice but to face the anger of his lord!

”My lord… It-it’s like this…” Building up what little courage he had when facing the rabbit demon beast that essentially controlled his life, the random human subordinate did his best to explain that the Iron Sky Kingdom had stopped sending spirit stones and that they had no spirit stones left.

SQUEEEAAAK-!

Hearing this, the rabbit demon beast let out a loud squeak that left everyone in the capital city of the Iron Sky Kingdom shivering in fear. However, this was the extend of what the rabbit demon beast did, as it full well understood that it couldn’t go to Yi Min and try to get more spirit stones from her. Understanding very well that doing so would definitely anger its master.

In the worst-case scenario, its master might directly lock it up for years without giving it a single spirit stone! A fate worse than death!

Squeak… Squeak!

However, as it thought about its master, the rabbit demon beast suddenly remembered the reward that its master had promised it for helping Yi Min-

Whoosh~!

And so, without wasting a single second, the rabbit demon beast grabbed the squirrel that had been fully focused on cultivation not too far away before making its way back towards the Star Shattering Sect with its new human subordinate following close behind with a curious expression on his face. Feeling more curious than ever about the Star Shattering Sect that he had heard a lot about during the past few months.

…

At the same time, inside the main palace of the Iron Sky Kingdom, Yi Min let out a sigh of relief as she watched the rabbit demon beast leave through her divine sense.

”That greedy little rabbit finally left… I thought it was going to try and eat through all my spirit stones…” Muttering this to herself, Yi Min silently decided to never try and offer the rabbit demon beast spirit stones when it passed by, as the sheer number of spirit stones it ate on a daily basis had been enough to seriously affect the supply of spirit stones in the Iron Sky Kingdom.
