Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Back at the frontier city, Xuan Hao was feeling a bit confused as he watched the colossal demon beast just harmlessly standing in front of the guardian formation of the frontier city without doing anything.

Although it was a bit disappointing considering that he had been looking forward to finally seeing how strong someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm was, he also felt a bit relived knowing that his disciple and her family wouldn’t be in any danger. After all, he doubted that the Astorion Empire didn’t have any safety measures in place in case a Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast happened to wander out from the primeval jungle and into their territory.

Whoosh~!

Not long after he thought about this, a powerful divine sense swept through the surroundings before locking on to the mountain sized demon beast, as a man appeared in the sky above the frontier city the next second. Showing no signs of fear in the face of the Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast.

That should be a Celestial Immortal from the Astorion Empire…

Narrowing both his eyes as he focused his full attention on the man that had appeared above the frontier city, Xuan Hao could not help feeling himself getting a bit excited to see the fight between two Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators.

After all, outside of just giving him a chance to see the current difference in strength between himself and someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm, it would also give him a chance to comprehend the different Daos that they had comprehended. Possibly giving him a chance to increase his own understanding or gain a foothold in comprehending a brand new dao he had yet to understand.

Roar?

Noticing the appearance of the Celestial Immortal from the Astorion Empire, the demon beast that had been casually observing the guardian formation of the frontier city turned to look up at the man. Not showing any sign of hostility in the process. Instead, just curiously examining the newcomer.

”Hm? Not one those five… A new demon beast that recently broke through to the Celestial Immortal Realm? No… This strength is definitely not the earlier stages of the Celestial Immortal Realm.” Seeing the Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast in person, the middle-aged man from the Astorion Empire could not help frowning as he said this himself while examining the mountain sized demon beast in towering above a few low hanging clouds.

Though its size was massive, the demon beast was not a mountain so to speak but was instead a kind of colossal dragon turtle with a small forest growing on top of its large shell.

Even from a simple scan with his divine sense just now, it was rather obvious that the demon beast hadn’t just reached the early stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm but was beyond that. Possibly even having reached the Late Stage of the Celestial Immortal Real!

Thinking about this to himself as he kept his attention focused on the colossal dragon turtle silently observing him, the middle-aged man could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine.

His own strength had only reached the Peak of the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm and was far from enough to fight the dragon turtle.

Though there might only be a difference of a single minor realm between the two of them, as someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm, he understood very well how massive the difference of a small minor realm was upon reaching the Celestial Immortal Realm.

The reason why the Astorion Empire had managed to establish itself and keep its current position as one of the peak powers on the continent was precisely because the Astorion Empire had a Celestial Immortal at the Intermediate Stage. Allowing it to stand above normal powers with Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators protecting them.

Unfortunately, that old man will be hard to contact now that he has run away… If only he had been the one to go instead of me…

Sighing internally as he thought this to himself, the Celestial Immortal from the Astorion Empire didn’t waste any time as he contacted the other two about the current situation through an emergency talisman. Hoping that the two would be able to show up and lend him a hand in dealing with the powerful demon beast-

”Rooar-! Wait!”

However, just as he took out the emergency talisman and contacted the other two about the current urgent situation, another roar echoed out from the primeval jungle partial hidden behind the massive frame of the dragon turtle. Followed by a broken voice speaking in the common language used by the entire Ewaria Continent before a human figure more than three meters tall covered in a thick layer of hair appeared beside the dragon turtle demon beast.

”Huh? Old Iron Fist?! What are you doing here? Have you also come to cause trouble for my Astorion Empire!?” Recognizing the other party as none other than one of the five Celestial Immortal Realm demon beasts living close to the primeval jungle’s border with the Astorion Empire- Or to be more precise, the human form of one of the demon beasts.

For demon beasts, after they broke through to the Celestial Immortal Realm. Not only would their intelligence reach a level no less than that of a human in the Celestial Immortal Realm, but they would also gain the ability to take on a human form… Though from the demon beast now floating in the air beside the colossal dragon turtle demon beast, it was obvious that this transformation was nowhere near perfect and could at most be considered an incomplete transformation.

Even then, it was a rather large shock to Xuan Hao observing the situation from afar, as he had never witnessed a demon beast capable of conversing normally like a human before. At most he could generally tell what his contracted demon beasts were trying to tell him through the contract he had established with them… And though intelligent, it wasn’t anywhere near the level of the floating hairy ball called Old Iron Fist.

”Trouble? I’m just here to pick up this fellow before your Astorion Empire ends up doing something stupid.” Rolling his eye upon hearing what the middle-aged man from the Astorion Empire said, the massive and buff looking hair ball turned to say something to the dragon turtle demon beast in a language that could only be described as a few random roars.

Rooar~!

However, the dragon turtle demon beast seemed to understand these few random roars, as it soon turned around and began to leave in the direction of the primeval jungle without doing anything to attack the guardian formation that it had been curiously observing for the past few minutes. Giving the cultivators hidden away inside the frontier city a chance to breath out a sigh of relief as they felt like they had just escaped from certain death.

”Haha! We are saved!”

”An Expert of our empire appeared! That is the only way that massive turtle demon beast would have run away without a fight! Haha! The Astorion Empire is indeed powerful. Even dealing with the terrifying demon beasts of the primeval jungle with ease!”

”Hehe, what do all of you know! I’m sure that it wasn’t just someone from the capital, it might have been the founder who came to confront the demon beast. After all, without the strength of the founder, how could such a powerful demon beast retreat without a fight?”

”Indeed! That makes sense.”

”Yeah, it has to be the founder!”

Outside of Xuan Hao and the other five Dao Seed Realm cultivators present in the frontier city at the moment, none of them had any idea about the appearance of a second Celestial Immortal Realm demon beast and just thought that the retreat of the dragon turtle demon beast was because the powerful founder had appeared and intimidated the demon beast into running away.

”Thank you for your grace, Great Founder!”

”””Thank you! Great Founder!”””

In the end, the large number of people hidden away inside the frontier city all came together and knelt down respectfully in the direction of the sky above the frontier city where they presumed the old founder to be standing at this moment. Quietly watching over all of them as the powerful demon beast retreated with its tail between its legs.

”…”

At the same time, in the sky above the frontier city, the middle-aged man could not help feeling his face starting to turn dark as he listened to the countless praises from the crowd below. Praising the lazy old man who had run away at the first sign of trouble as some kind of saint that had saved all of them from certain death.

”HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA! How did that lazy old fossil end up getting praised like this all of a sudden when he isn’t even here!? You humans really are unique! Hahaha! I can’t stop laughing!”

Not too far away, the demon beast in its incomplete human form could not stop itself as it began laughing loudly with a smile plastered all over its face after seeing the predicament of the middle-aged man. Almost reaching the point where it had to stop itself from falling backwards and accidentally crash into the ground below.
