I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

138: Chapter 138 The Godfather Will Have to Make a Difficult DecisionChu Yuan wants to adopt her daughter as his goddaughter?

This bolt from the blue struck her hard. Even with Su Mingyue’s firm resolve, being hit by this sudden news left her head buzzing.

It was only when a small hand cautiously tugged at the corner of her clothes that Su Mingyue slowly came back to her senses.

She forcibly calmed her emotions and looked at Chu Yuan in disbelief: ”Young Master Chu, are you serious? Do you really intend to adopt Xiao Ling as your goddaughter?”

”Naturally.” Chu Yuan nodded again: ”The moment I saw Xiao Ling, I felt a connection with her. I liked her at first sight, so naturally, I want to take such a well-behaved and sensible little girl as my goddaughter.”

Of course, this was just a high-sounding excuse.

The real reason was...

Su Mingyue was full of excitement, but then suddenly thought of something and asked with some doubt: ”Chu Yuan, the age difference between you and Xiao Ling is not that large, this seems...”

Knowing what Su Mingyue was concerned about, Chu Yuan remained indifferent: ”My age is more than double Xiao Ling’s; there doesn’t seem to be anything inappropriate about it.”

”Besides, this is a matter between Xiao Ling and me. Why should I be afraid of what outsiders might say?”

That’s right.

With her last shred of concern dispelled, Su Mingyue turned her gaze to Ye Xiaoling. If her daughter agreed, she, as a mother, would naturally not object.

”Mom, I’m willing to accept Uncle Chu as my godfather.”

Ye Xiaoling nodded vigorously, her voice ringing out crisp and clear.

She had lost her father at a young age and had never experienced a father’s love. Growing up, she had always been looked down upon and called a fatherless bastard.

Now that she had met Chu Yuan, even though she had known him for less than a month, she could feel a trace of warmth from him. She felt that being by Uncle Chu’s side made her the safest and happiest.

Seeing that her daughter agreed, Su Mingyue had no intention of objecting and even revealed a smile: ”Xiao Ling lost her father early on and lacked a father’s companionship. Now that she has such a godfather who dotes on her, it is Xiao Ling’s good fortune.”

”Good. From now on, Xiao Ling is my, Chu Yuan’s, goddaughter.”

”Goddaughter, call me Godfather and let me hear it.”

”Godfather!”

Ye Xiaoling’s voice was crisp and heart-stirring.

As soon as she finished speaking, Chu Yuan scooped Ye Xiaoling up and spun around the room several times, venting the excitement in his heart.

”Ding! The host has accepted the Protagonist Ye Yun’s daughter, Ye Xiaoling, as a goddaughter, causing the other party to acknowledge a thief as a father. The host has gained 5000 villain points.”

Just as Chu Yuan had guessed, when Ye Xiaoling’s ”Godfather” slipped out, it really did yield a harvest.

However, the system’s prompt of ”acknowledging a thief as a father” made Chu Yuan’s face darken.

What kind of talk was that?

It was clearly abandoning darkness for light and embracing a great father.

Chu Yuan cast his gaze upon Su Mingyue, an immature idea beginning to form.

Would she be so angry that she’d bleed from all seven orifices and ascend to heaven on the spot?

Watching the harmonious scene between Chu Yuan and Ye Xiaoling, a pair who were not father and daughter but were better than father and daughter, her long-dormant heart could no longer remain calm.

A family of three, living in harmony—this had always been what Su Mingyue longed for in her heart.

With a father, Ye Xiaoling would from now on be someone loved by a father.

Overjoyed and dancing with excitement, Ye Xiaoling subconsciously opened her arms and hugged both Chu Yuan and Su Mingyue.

Although her strength was minimal, neither Chu Yuan nor Su Mingyue offered any resistance; in fact, they subconsciously leaned closer to Ye Xiaoling’s small hands.

It was this unconscious behavior that caused the two of them to be pushed a few inches closer together in Ye Xiaoling’s embrace.

The two, who were already standing very close, were now pressed tightly against each other.

Feeling a soft warmth, the corners of Chu Yuan’s mouth curled up.

He could clearly feel their two cheeks pressed closely together.

Not only did he perceive the warmth radiating from Su Mingyue’s face, but the hot air from her rapid breathing also rushed toward him.

This sudden turn of events gave Su Mingyue a huge shock, leaving her mind completely blank.

She had never imagined that she would have such intimate contact with Chu Yuan.

At this moment, Su Mingyue’s head was buzzing, and her heart was filled with mixed feelings—a sensation that was difficult to describe or explain.

It wasn’t until Chu Yuan noticed something was wrong with her that he turned slightly to the side, resolving the awkwardness.

Su Mingyue was blushing with shyness, her cheeks so red that even her ears felt like they were being roasted.

She subconsciously lowered her head, like a prisoner waiting for judgment, not daring to look Chu Yuan in the eye, feeling so shy that she didn’t know where to hide.

Her slender, jade-like hands were tightly clasped together, constantly fiddling with the corner of her clothes, appearing so unsettled.

How could this woman be so shy, just like an innocent little girl?

Such an interesting scene made Chu Yuan unable to resist taking a few extra looks.

”Alright, both of you mother and daughter are still injured, and you just cooked, wasting quite a bit of energy. Go and get some good rest now.”

”Thank... thank you, Young Master Chu.”

With these words from Chu Yuan, Su Mingyue felt as if she had been granted amnesty and hurried back to her room as if fleeing for her life.

She didn’t even pay attention to Ye Xiaoling, who was following behind her and calling out ”Mom.”

The two of them quickly returned to their respective rooms, completely disappearing from Chu Yuan’s sight.

”That little girl Xiao Ling is quite mischievous; I’m afraid that scene just now was something she deliberately orchestrated.”

Watching the mother and daughter flee for their lives, Chu Yuan revealed a triumphant smile.

As the daughter of the Protagonist Ye Yun, Ye Xiaoling was not the naive, sweet girl she appeared to be; she was clever and sharp-witted.

If this had happened to any other girl, it might have been an accidental touch.

But with this mischievous girl Ye Xiaoling, could it be that she wanted to play matchmaker between him and her mother, Su Mingyue?

The more Chu Yuan thought about it, the more he felt this was possible.

”Xiao Ling has such kind intentions, Godfather really cannot refuse.”

Chu Yuan rubbed his chin and began to ponder.

In order not to disappoint his goddaughter, Godfather would have to reluctantly agree.
