I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

114: Chapter 114 Going to Police StationThe team leader, upon seeing six assassins lying on the ground along with several firearms, was startled.

Firearms are prohibited in the Dragon Kingdom, and anyone carrying them without a permit commits a serious felony.

As one of the most prosperous cities in the Dragon Kingdom, the fact that such a large-scale armed assassination occurred in Shanghai is a very serious matter.

When he saw that the target of the assassination was actually Chu Yuan, the number one young master of Shanghai, the team leader turned pale with fright.

”Young Master Chu, rest assured. We will definitely investigate this matter thoroughly, ferret out the mastermind, and give you a satisfactory explanation.”

Standing before Chu Yuan, Sun Li was sweating profusely.

If he were even slightly careless and offended this young master, he would lose his job.

”Young Master Chu, you are too kind. I will leave this matter to you, and these people are yours as well. If you have any news, just let me know.”

”I also want to know who exactly wants my life.”

Chu Yuan’s tone was extremely calm, but only Zuo Shishi, who was familiar with him, understood that this was a sign of his anger.

Usually, it was Chu Yuan who schemed against and dealt with others; now, he was actually being targeted.

Although it didn’t pose a threat to him, being disgusted by a few flies was still a very unpleasant matter.

As for these assassins, they were just low-level extras, and even if they knew something, it would be limited.

Chu Yuan couldn’t be bothered to waste time on such small fry.

While he was speaking with Sun Li, a police officer in uniform with a sleazy appearance walked over.

Officer Tang Jun said to Sun Li, ”Captain Sun, judging by the current evidence, this matter was likely done by an overseas criminal gang and may have connections to those mercenaries. This is a very serious matter; please ask Young Master Chu to return with us to assist in the investigation.”

”Young Master Chu is the victim in this matter. What questions can’t be asked here? Why must you trouble Young Master Chu?” Sun Li frowned.

Officer Tang Jun remained neither humble nor pushy, arguing firmly, ”The nature of this incident is extremely egregious. If not handled properly, it will have a huge impact on the entire Shanghai and even the Dragon Kingdom.”

”Furthermore, their target this time is Young Master Chu. I believe Young Master Chu is also willing to cooperate with our investigation to ferret out the true mastermind as soon as possible.”

Sun Li looked displeased. This Officer Tang Jun usually seemed quite sharp; why did he lack common sense at such a critical moment?

Even if you are deeply appreciated by Deputy Director Jiang, in the face of Young Master Chu’s family background and power, you are nothing but scum. To actually dare to order Young Master Chu around—are you tired of living?

Just as Sun Li was about to retort, Chu Yuan spoke first, ”Captain Sun, this is your normal procedure, so don’t make things difficult for him.”

”As a law-abiding citizen of the Dragon Kingdom, it is my duty to cooperate with your investigation. I will accompany you on this trip.”

Chu Yuan had a smile on his face.

If it were earlier, Chu Yuan might still be suspecting that the mastermind behind this was likely Jiang Chen, this new Protagonist.

Now that this Officer Tang Jun had suddenly popped out, it directly confirmed his hypothesis.

A flicker of strange color flashed in Officer Tang Jun’s eyes.

Is Chu Yuan really that easy to talk to?

For this kind of arrogant rich second-generation, let alone asking him to go to the police station for investigation, it would be a blessing if he didn’t lose his temper and curse them out.

Officer Tang Jun had originally planned that if Chu Yuan put on airs as a rich second-generation, he could go back and add fuel to the fire to badmouth him.

However, it was fine that he was cooperating now; once he was in the police station, he would have free rein.

Officer Tang Jun said with a fake smile, ”Thank you for your cooperation, Young Master Chu.”

”Officer Tang Jun, then you accompany Young Master Chu back.”

”Do not cause unnecessary trouble. If you waste Young Master Chu’s time, even Director Jiang won’t be able to afford the consequences.”

Sun Li dropped this slightly threatening remark and slipped away.

Whether you want to stir up trouble or the Jiang Chen behind you wants to stir up trouble, don’t you dare drag me into it.

”Young Master Chu’s time is precious, let’s go.”

Officer Tang Jun made a gesture of invitation.

Little did he know, his behavior was not only completely clear to Chu Yuan, but even Sun Li didn’t dare to associate with him.

”Zuo Shishi, you go back first. Just leave a driver at the entrance to pick me up later.”

After dismissing Zuo Shishi, Chu Yuan, escorted by several police cars, arrived at the police station in his exclusive vehicle.

Chu Yuan was taken directly by Officer Tang Jun to a secluded room.

The light inside was dim, and the damp air emitted a pungent odor.

The whole room was empty, with only an interrogation table and a dilapidated chair opposite it.

The walls were somewhat faded, and on them were eight eye-catching large characters: ”Leniency for confession, severity for resistance.”

This was not a place for taking statements; it looked more like a place for interrogating suspects.

Since the dark methods didn’t work, now they were using official ones.

A cold sneer appeared on the corner of Chu Yuan’s mouth.

It seems Jiang Chen really wants to finish him off.

However, using such childish tricks to deal with him—is Jiang Chen really that idiotic?

Officer Tang Jun sat in front of the interrogation table, pointed to the stool opposite, and said with a serious face, ”Young Master Chu, please sit.”

Chu Yuan glanced at him, ”Since when did your Shanghai Police Station become so dilapidated that you use such a place to receive guests?”

Officer Tang Jun looked indifferent, ”The reception room is occupied. I can only trouble Young Master Chu to give a statement here; I hope you can forgive us.”

”Fine, let’s get straight to the point. Just say what you have to say.”

”Young Master Chu, please sit down first.”

”I’m not used to sitting in this crappy seat of yours.”

Chu Yuan refused directly. If he sat down, it would make him look like a criminal.

If Jiang Chen took a few photos and publicized them, wouldn’t that affect his image?

The other party was even using such tactics—framing and dealing with the Protagonist—on him; was there anything they wouldn’t do?

Uh!

Officer Tang Jun was stunned on the spot. Chu Yuan spoke so directly that he didn’t know how to respond with the words he had prepared.

”Damn brat, even here, you dare to be so arrogant.”

”Let’s see how I fix you and vent this anger for Director Jiang.”

Officer Tang Jun gritted his teeth in hatred, but on the surface, he still had to wear a smile.

”Young Master Chu, let’s get to the main topic.”

”Name!”

Officer Tang Jun had an official, business-like demeanor, which seemed perfectly fine.

Unfortunately, Chu Yuan just didn’t like playing by the rules. He waved his hand and said, ”There is no need to ask boring questions like name and gender. If you don’t know, the person behind you will certainly know.”

”I am in a hurry. If you continue with this nonsense, I won’t play with a small extra like you anymore.”

”You!”

Unable to contain his anger, Officer Tang Jun slammed the table hard, pointed at Chu Yuan, and said, ”Chu Yuan, this is the police station, not your home. Don’t be too presumptuous.”
